Is there anyone who has installed a catch can on their silverado? If so where exactly do you hook the hoses up to???

I have 4 6.5'' diamond hex series components in my silverado with a Alpine PDX 1000 pushing them. So loud and so clean!!

I know, I know it sux! I was thinking about a zippy tune. Anyone have any info on it. How much it costs. Do I have to send them my pcm or do they provide me with one.

All I have is a hypertech programmer. I used that to clear the DTC but they keep coming back on.

I did not unplug the O2's. All I did is unbolt them from the old cats and bolted them back on the new ones.

P0430 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2 P0420 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency U1000 - Class 2 Communication Malfunction Anyone know what these code mean or what to do about them??? They started after I installed my obx LT headers.

I put my obx LT headers and they were a big pain in a$$!!! They said that they were complete bolt on with no modification but what they forgot to tell you is that you have to take every bolt off the truck to get them on!!! The drivers side was easy but the passenger side was a pain! The intake, spark plugs, coil packs, oil filler tube, starter, transmission lines, and AC compressor had to come off so that the header could go on. The transmission crossmember had to come out to get the old Y pipe out and the new one in. The new Y pipe was hitting the transmission cross member in 2 places. Also, the kit comes with 6 bung holes for O2 sensors. As we all know silverados only have 4 O2 sensors. So you have to get plugs for them. I found out that my local hardware store did not carry the size bolt I needed to fit the bung holes. The new headers and Y pipe push the cat back exhaust 2in back; just enough so the stock hangers wouldn't work. The kit comes with cheap clamps that leak like crazy!! So all in all I had to take it to an exhaust shop that would modify the Y pipe, fill the bung holes, weld the seams where that clamps were, fix my exhaust hangers. Cost me an extra $200. If I knew all this was part of the install I might have turned else where. However, it does sound nice and I do notice a bit of difference. Its been raining so I can't really tell. We will see next time I got to the track. Keep in mind I do Have a 5.3L and not a 6.0L, so the install might be a little different.

I'm looking for the best tune I can get for the money. I just don't want to cut off my right arm to pay for it. I just wasn't sure if a mail order tune could be tuned to specific locations. Arizona is very dry, so engines run a lot differently out here rather than out east or something where they have humidity. Or does it really even matter. I'm still learning. I've had my truck for about 9 months and just recently started getting serious about modifying it. Heck I didn't even know there was such a thing has a mail order tune or a dyno tune until about 2 months ago. I thought that hypertech was pretty much the best it got. I just want to thank everyone on this site for all the info and help. I've learned alot in the past 2 months. Thanks guys!!!

Whats better? The elctronic shift kit or the one with the BB's? Why?

I just ordered some obx LT headers. Are the gaskets that come with it good or do I need to up grade to copper gaskets?

So with a bone stock trans, how much TQ mgmt can be safely removed when having a tune done?

How much does that run? I'm in Arizona. Is that something I have to send out?

I'm going to get some obx long tube headers for my 5.3L (i know its not an SS but I still love it) I was just wondering if anyone has had any experence with header wrap? Is it worth it? Can it crack your headers? Does it void the header warrenty?
