  1. Well, I'm in the middle of doing my cam install as we speak. The total cost is just under $2000. With that I got the cam (208/212 .554/.558), lifters, push rods, springs, retainers, valve locks, 1.75 roller rockers, vavle cover spacers, head gaskets, head bolts, crank bolt, valve cover gaskets, timing cover/water pump gaskets, and radiator fluid. You will need exhaust and a tune for a cam. The stock lifters are good for about 600hp. However, if you have a lot of miles I would recomend replacing them. Call Comp Cam and tell them what you have. They will recomend what is good for your application.

  3. I'm running 285/50/20's with a 2'' drop in the rear. I rub a bit on the sway bar but thats it. I could go lower though.
  4. I am in the market for a new cam for my 05 5.3L. I found one from comp cams and was wondering you guys think. Any good? http://www.compperformancegroupstores.com/...p;Category_Code=
  5. You can also try to use dynamat in the cab or they do have some stuff at Autozone that say it helps with the sound and its a spray. You could spray that under the cab. Just some ideas. However, I have OBX LT's with no cats, y pipe, 3'' flowmaster super 44 exhaust that runs back to the stock location. Everyone says it crazy loud, but I don't have any problems with drone.
  6. Dont know yet. I haven't been able to get to the track. It's way too hot out here in AZ. I'm waiting for a cold front or something like a miricle so it will cool off. What are your times?
  7. Who ported your throttle body? Or did you do it yourself? If you did, how did you do it? I have pretty much the same truck as well as the same mods that you do and I can't spin at 30. However, I do have an extended cab and rollin on 285/50/20's.
  8. http://www.albeedigital.com/supercoupe/art.../0-60times.html 14.4 stock. If you click on the link above you can get 1/4 mile times for most stock cars and trucks.
  9. CAI, Throttle Body Spacer, OBX LT headers, cat delete, single 3'' flowmaster super 44 exhaust, MSD plug wires, E3 diamond fire plug (just changed them yesterday), and a bad ass custom tune by Justin at Black Bear Performance.

    Took A Wrx

I was stopped at a light on my way home from work. There was a black WRX (non-STI) beside me and I thought nothing of it. The light turned green and I took off kinda fast. I heard his motor rev up and I knew it was on. I gunned it a luckily I was going the right speed and it down shifted and took off!! He did keep up with me but he was slow on his shifts. However, I was pulling on him inch by inch. You guys probably take WRX's all day long, but I have a 5.3L so thats a good accomplishment for me. Also, by the looks of it he was stock.
  11. http://pulstarplug.com/ Has anyone ever used or heard anything about these??? Not that I would pay $200 for sparkplugs!!!
  12. I have the OBX LT's on my 5.3L. They sound great! A little bit of a pain to install but def worth it. Now it throws me back in my seat when I stomp on it around 65. Had them for about 6 moths now no problems and no leaks. It did bolt up to my stock location, but if you want those cats then you will have to do a little fab work. However, even with that your still a lot cheaper than Dynatech. Do Dynatech if you got the money. If your like me and money is tight then do the OBX.
  13. I have a single flowmaster super 44, 3'' inlet and outlet. And it's nice and loud. I only have a 5.3L. I do also have LT headers and no cats so that helps a bit. It's not as deep as I would like, but I have yet to hear a really deep sounding silverado. I do get a few compliments and a lot of head turns. I think duals with a 6.0 would sound sweet! Get the 44's and some LT's and you'll be happy!!
  14. How often do you empty your catch can????
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...:PIC&ih=024 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...:PIC&ih=012 Does anyone know the difference between these 2 catch can??? Is one better than the other??? What does the breather filter do???
  16. Just called and they don't sell parts anymore......
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRANSGO-4L6...sspagenameZWD1V Is this a good shift kit???
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRANSGO-4L6...sspagenameZWD1V Will this shift kit work???
  19. Now correct me if I'm wrong. Doesn't a shift kit just add more line pressure which is hard on the transmission. Would the servo work without the shift kit?
  20. Is this one any good? Or should I just go with a corvette servo? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...bayphotohosting
  21. Where can I get the servos at?
  22. I have a 05 Silverado with a 5.3L. I have a cold air intake, throttle body spacer, obx LT headers, flowmaster 3" exhaust, and a custom tune. I've got a few bucks burning a hold in my pocket. What do you guys think I should get? I'm just thinkin something small. Catch can, ignition wires, shift kit or anything else around the same price point. I'm up to sugestions.
  23. I have 6.5 diamond audio components up front and 5.25 diamond components in the rear with an Alpine PDX 4 channel amp pushing them. The speakers sound loud and clear with no clearence issues. The amp has more than enough power to push them plus its small so it fits in our trucks well. The amp is rated at 150 watts X 4 rms. They bench test every amp. I have 2. One for me and one for my wife. Mine bench tested at 163 watts X 4. Hers bench tested at 180 watts X 4. However if I could do it all over I think I would try JL audio speakers.
