  1. Kinda partial to the Glock 22, due to the fact I have one and love it. When I was in the Army I carried a 1911 A1, (still partial to that one too) luckily I got out before we made the transition to the 9mm. For a wheel gun I like the old S&W 686. Another "hand cannon" is the S&W model 29.
  2. And we appreciate the fact that you are out there keeping us safe. THANKS Man! tyluur My wife will most likely be out crusin' during that week. She is a gear head too! Be on the lookout for a Red SS, although there are a couple of other red ones around Gulfport. Only one with a red US129 sticker on the middle of the back window. PS Justin of Blackbear Performance and a few others will be around there that weekend also. Don't know where.
  3. Got any pics? Especially the "milky lines"
  4. Yea its the weekend BEFORE I get home! That is if you are talking about the one in Mississippi. Actually its OCT 4 - 11. Here is the link. http://www.cruisinthecoast.com/ Wish I could be there. Its a lot of fun.
  5. One of the guys at work has one. Pretty good grocery getter. With 100K on the clock find out when the timing belt/chain was changed, or if it has been.
  6. Ive been out of it for some time but I have an old Specalized. At the time it was pretty state of the art. Full front suspension, standard rear, Grip shifts, all Shimano derailers, ect. It was pretty expensive at the time, but well worth it. Very well built bike and very tough. I need to get a new rear hub for it now. The bearings are shot. But then again its been ridden hard and it is around 20 years old.
  7. If it turns out being the cluster check with your dealership. My speedo went out and I ws debating getting a new cluster or fixing it myself. Took it by the dealership, they ran a test on it (yes it was the cluster), and replaced it for free, even though I was over the 70K miles for the recall/repair.
  8. I just put on a set of Toyo Proxies S/T's 275/55/20 and really like the ride. Nice and quiet but yet still plenty of grip. Much better than the GY LSs that were on it when I bought it. I like the tread design of the original S/T's (which I have) over the newer tread design on the S/T II's but I'm sure they perform just as good.
  9. ^^^ What he said. I just replaced my battery with a Red top, hopefully I'll get as much life out of it as I got out of the last two I've had. The first one went a good 5 years before it got destroyed in a fire. The other is pushing 7 and as far as I know its still kicking. (Had it in my old truck when I sold it.) FWIW they replaced my battery when I bought my truck (2 yrs ago) but they used an Autozone special. I've heard the Redtops weren't as good as they used to be but I've had good luck with them.
  10. Yea that's it. We must have found it at about the same time. I don't have access to you tube out here on the ship so it may have taken me a bit longer.
  11. Congratulations! You must be proud. I know its kinda a scary feeling but relieving at the same time. Hope everyone is recovering nicely.
  12. Back in July I was in Charleston SC playing golf with my Dad. When we finished out in the parking lot was a Blue ZR1. I had to go look and oggle for a while. Dad said it must be one of the club pros or someone that works there 'cos its there all the time. Looked just like the blue one in the ads or Car and Driver had. Awesome looking.
  13. Here's one I can't ID. They play it on the intro to WWE SmackDown. Dont have a link but it goes something like: waa oh oh Never give in .... waa oh oh Never give up .... I just wanna be, wanna be loo-oo-oovveed. I know who it is but I'm drawing a blank. OK I got it DOH! it's PAPA ROACH - Wanna be Loved.
  14. American Racing Trench if you want glossy black or Marin if you want matte black.
  15. FWIW the GM hotcam is not that much of an improvement over the stock cam in our trucks. You would most likely be better off going with something like the Thunder racing 220 or 224. The gains over the stock cam when going to the GM hotcam would most likely make you want to kick yourself for the amount of work that you are doing. Like Wody said its not really that difficult and the link he provided is pretty well written and will give you a good idea of whats involved. Just my $.02
  16. Sweet looking truck! Nice job!
  17. Do a search for Factory Reproductions. They sell chrome reproduction wheels in 20" and 22" don't know about shipping to OZ or cost.
  18. Wow Xtra stiff, Dayum dude whats your swing speed? Up there with Tiger huh? Sorry but thats way too stiff for my buddy. I know what you mean about the Winn grips, but I've not had a problem with them. I change out my grips about once a year. Here's a bump anyway for a nice set of clubs.
  19. If done properly an X pipe will help the scavenging of the exhaust from bank to bank. This is kinda hard to do in our trucks as the exhaust runs down the passenger side of the truck. The drivers side is quite a bit longer on our trucks as it runs around the transmission and over to the passenger side. The X needs to be approximately 24 inches from the collectors and have equal length tubes running into it to be most effective. A properly done X will help balance out the exhaust pulses making more power and a smoother running engine. IMHO its not really worth it due to the routing of the exhaust, but that's my opinion, your results may vary. There is quite a bit of Science to properly designing a good working X-pipe. They have their advantages, thats one reason all the NASCAR teams use an X configuration in their exhausts.
  20. what kind of truck is it? A Silverado SS? Then its a 4L65E.
  21. What's the flex of the shafts? How firm are the golf pride grips? Im kinda partial to Winn RF grips if you know what they feel like. Just asking 'cos a buddy is looking for a new set.
  22. What do you want for the weather strip kit? Is it the GM kit or an aftermarket one?
  23. Here ya go. Complete with end link and bushing part numbers. Rear sway bar i'd go with the Addco #631, & use energy suspension endlinks #9.8124R and bushings #9.5161R for rear bar. Stock front bar w/ Energy Suspension endlinks #9.8121R and bushings #9.5172R.
  24. I had this same question, and after reading through 56 pages on lowering I was more confused than ever. I had asked YTTAF (who's truck looks perfect to me) about what he used and he was nice enough to repond to me. This is the list he gave me. Belltech 2/3 drop, spindles/leafs. Front spindle P/N 2508 (sold in pairs) Rear leaf P/N 5952 (buy 2) Rear sway bar i'd go with the Addco #631, & use energy suspension endlinks #9.8124R and bushings #9.5161R for rear bar. Stock front bar w/ Energy Suspension endlinks #9.8121R and bushings #9.5172R. I had asked about the rear sway bar and Energy Suspension end links and bushings, that's why they are included. Hope this helps someone else.
