  1. Danny, While I don't know you personally or have talked to you on the phone, you hav ehelped me out greatly. Although it may be little things (well nuts) just that tidbit of information was really helpful and I really appreciate it. Sure it would have been just as easy for you to not say anything, but from what I've seen, That aint you. you are always willing to help out or just lend a bit of insight and advise. Like your recommendations for the stall on the converter, which Im still planning on getting (its just not a priority right now) Hope you understand. I also hope that I can contact you when I'm ready for that TCS. I think you are one of the most helpful people here on the site and a real asset to it. Thanks Gerald
  2. Looks good man. I noticed you have the factory folding bed cover. I've got the same. I took mine apart and removed the little end cap from both the rails so the rails don't sit up on the spoiler caps. I haven't mounted my spoiler yet but just getting some rough measurements I think the bed cover rails will just fit without the end caps. Also did you use the black strip that was on the factory mini spoile? The one that locks down the taligate when the bed cover is down. I've still got to remove that from my mini spoiler and attach it to my ISS spoiler. G
  3. The in-laws live in The Woodlands. Very nice area, expensive, but very nice. Not uncommon to see Ferrarris, Lotus, Aston Martins, or Lambos driving around.
  4. You mean the little plastic drywall anchor things? That should do it HUH? Thanks man! Now I just gotta wait till I get back home, I'm back out at sea till June.
  5. What's the part number for the tall K&N? I've got the short one I think its 1007.
  6. Anyone that has mounted the Intimidator spoiler, what did you use to mount the main section of the spoiler? I've removed my factory spoiler and there are the four holes on the outside of the tailgate, but nothing on the inside. The spoiler has five holes for mounting on the inside. I can't see any way to get nuts on the inside of the tailgate to use bolts for mounting. I've tried some plastic push pins but the ones I had laying around were just a bit too small. I'm guessing you have to drill the inside holes. The stocker was mounted with double sided tape. I guess this would work for the ISS spoiler too but I don't want to leave the holes exposed, just looks unfinished. Also I tried coping the template for the side wings but I could never get the size to come out correctly. Anyone have a good pdf file of the template they could send me? I can fab up the brackets pretty easily but getting the mounting holes in the correct location is something different. One of the neighbors does auto painting and he painted mine up, its a barter deal so I don't know what he wants for the paint job in return but I'm sure it won't be too much. It looks awesome. I test fitted it and it fits perfectly and looks good just need some mounting info.
  7. Yes, I just removed my stock spoiler and at the rear there are four holes in the tailgate, hidden by the double sided tape. No holes on the inside though, guess you have to drill them to mount the ISS spoiler.
  8. Sweet ride there Hank. I see you got all the real goodies (6 speed, Z51.) Good choice. Kerbeck is pretty widely known as being one of the best dealerships as far as price and volume of Vette's. Congrats.
  9. Not in LA but not far from it. Went over to Esplanade mall a few weeks back for a tune from Justin @ BlackBear. Haven't run on the track in the truck yet. Too bad I'm leaving Sunday for a business trip till middle of July.
  10. Thanks for the replies Danny & Mr.P I should have mentioned that I do plan on adding headers later but that's about all. I've been wanting to get one of these TCS converters, but I'm a little light on the funds right now. I'll keep you in mind when the funds are right. Thanks, G
  11. What would your suggestion be for a DD, mostly stock (CAI, 160 stat, Cat back) AWD SSS. I would like the feel of "street sport" but I occasionally tow a trailer (about 5000+/- lbs) and don't want to loose my towing capacity. BTW I have a Maxx-cool tranny cooler already.
  12. I went with a Lingenfelter 160* and mine runs right around 180* ... much better than the 210* it used to run at.
  13. So sorry to hear about this. Man that's a lot to take all at once. The trio will keep you and yours in our thoughts and prayers. God bless and stay strong brother.
  14. If you still have room for one I'll Jump in! Don't know how I missed this whole thread??? Pretty long for only a week.
  15. Cool, I got some pics of my red SSS on the Dragon and the Hellbender. There is a lookout on the 'bender that looks very similar. Here is a pic. Course mine was filty
  16. '96 Collector Edition Corvette LT4 w/ 6 speed, Long tubes, tuned by me, 308rwhp (stock), no tuned dyno numbers. '95 2 dr Tahoe, 350, 700r4, 3" lift on MT 35's '79 K5 Blazer, L98 Vette motor, Muncie 435, NP 205 transfer, Dana 60 Front, GM12 bolt rear. <---work in progress
  17. Here is a link to some of the pictures of our daughter. Grandma, Mom and myself are also in most of them. http://picasaweb.google.com/stricktrio/Tressa# Later, G
  18. Thanks everyone! I'll try and remember the camera from the hospital tomorrow. I know what you mean about diaper changes. My wife was bragging to her father "I've yet to change a diaper." Her dad asked who was taking care of that, she told him "Daddy G". I figure its the least I can do, especially since I can't feed her. Boy those first couple were BAD, thought I was gonna use a box of those baby wipes. Later all, G
  19. My wife gave delivery to my 1st daughter this morning at 8:51am. Help me welcome Tressa Catherine to the world. She was 6 lbs 10.5 oz, and 19 inches long. Mother is recovering well. Daughter is perfect. Got to get back to the hospital, just had to run to the house to feed the dog. Later, G
  20. Sorry to hear of your loss. Toni and I send our condolences. May God watch over you on your journeys.
  21. Just got mine in on Sat. Thanks again Ray for all the effort you put into these.
  22. Hank Here are two other Corvette sites, both of wich I belong to. Pretty good people on them. www.corvettevalley.com and www.corvetteactioncenter.com I would also put on your list of must haves is the 6 speed manual, you don't really want the 6 speed auto even though you do get the paddle shifters. The manual is a better transmission. I like your pick of the dual mode exhaust and the Z51. Mines got the Z51 although its the last of the C4's. I think it makes the ride just firm enough, the way it should feel. One last option you might think of is the HUD (heads up display) you would not believe how useful that system is.
  23. Yea that's what I'm running ... for now. Was looking at 22"s but I guess that will have to wait. Plus it means going to a local wheel shop and test fitting. Just hope they can get the wheels I was looking at. Didn't even think of the baby spare. Guess when I swap I'll have to use one of the stockers as a spare.
