  1. Hey man my last unit in the Marines made me feel the same way... It ultimately demotivated me and it began to bug me. I the realized that it wasnt the immediate command but more like a cetain type of individual who tended to stay in. Once I realized this, I made myself overlook it and not let it affect me. That made me want to leave the enlisted, get my degree and get back in as an officer to address those common issues with in commands. Bottom line: try to enjoy yourself outside of work, I know it is hard with out your family, but try to get involved in hobbies or something to release your stress. I feel your pain, just hang in there! Remember you are doing this nation a great service! Keep your head up!

  2. There are a lot of inexpensive mods out there and info on "How-to" do them here on this forum. If you are comfortable with working on your truck yourself, try the LED bulb mod for your interior lighting. I.E. Dash, cluster, and switches. Then get an aftermarket CAI, and possibly a custom tune from one of the vendors on this site. The possibilities are endless, but your funds might not be... lol It all depends on what you want your outcome to be and your budget. Good luck, oh one last thing, this can get addictive...

Hey all. I have been a VHO owner since 2004 when I bought my truck. I really didn't even know this forum was here. I am glad to have found it! My truck is bone-stock. I wonder, if there were some mods that you all just had to have as soon as you got another truck, what would they be? Where should I start? I think I am gonna get some new Bilstein shocks when I get new tires in a couple of months. Beyond that, what would you guys have to have? Thanks...

  3. Hell No! Take it some where else to get a second opinion. Dealerships try and get as much money out of you as possible. Who told you that about the old/ new filter? was it an actual mechanic or over the counter rep.?

  4. That realy blows, but like others have said, take this and come back stronger! Get another SSS, TBSS, or other B.A. vehicle and just go crazy! Good luck man! I feel for you and cant wait to hear about the ass****'s who did you wrong getting what they desrve...Caught or shot!

  5. Well, I'm new to the professional detailing world, I have both an electric & pneumatic buffers. I've only ever buffed and waxed with common waxes like Turtle, Mothers, etc... Pm me with some info on your input. Thanks

Glad you guys are liking the stuff

jtmarine02 - happy to help you in any way I can... let me know what you're looking to accomplish and I can make some recommendations.

  6. Hey man, I'm from Houston originally and visit often. You and I know it rains there like a motha, with that said it is nice to not have to worry about getting around in an AWD SSS. As far as beign in cali, well the weather is great but the AWD is just an option. You really don't need it , but I'm with 90ZXDriver, It's better to have it and not need it then the other way around. Oh and yes it seemed that towards the last year of the SSS's production, chevy cut options to possibly sell a bit more trucks. However, thats just my opinion. One thing I will advise you to do above all else, make sure it is the truck YOU want... Dont let anyone talk you out of anything, unless its a bad vehicle or deal. That way you are content with your choice and plus there is a HUGE aftermarket out there for trucks. Houston, Texas, and Cali are of those huge hubs for truck customazation. Just out of curiosity, where are you stationed?

  7. Congrats and welcome to the site! Sucks to hear you have to get rid of one ride to fund the other, but it is what it is! Good luck on the transformation of your truck!

i wanna say whats up to everyone. there are some speachless rides on here. i am looking to start my build on my truck. i am new to the ls scene and only know what i have read. i currently have a 78 backhalf malibu. i am going to sell the malibu to fund the ss build. i was planning on headers, exhaust, intake, cam, stall, tune, and eventually build tranny and spray it. if anyone knows of a shop that is reputable let me know. i know of redline performance, but was just seeing if anyone had any other input. feel free to comment on any of my plans. im open for suggestions. thanks

  8. Great car man! There's a fully loaded 2011 CTS-V here in town and I wish I had the money everyday that I pass by it... It's a sick Black, with big black CTS-V rims, and Bright Yellow Brembo brakes. I stopped to get a price and was heartbroken to hear it was sticker at 67,000.00

  9. No, not to all the LED bulbs just the one's that are designated turn signals. If you do not add the resistors to the turn signals you can experience "Hyper Flashing". You do not have to use resistors if your truck meets the requirements that Chase posted in reply # 26. This is what he said -you can also not add resistors to some of the trucks and get a electronic flasher relay for the earlier trucks depending if you truck uses the lm487 flasher it looks like this

    94237-electronic-led-flasher-lm487.jpg

its located in the driverside knee area , near the ebrake and bcm , just turn on your hazards , unbolt your knee area lower dash cover and follow the relay click. that will determine what e-flasher you need , imo this is the right way to do it if you ever need to swap back its as simple as swapping bulbs..

Do you have to add resistors to all the led bulbs? what happens if you dont
