  1. Yep, same here. They haven't really worked right since they did the last upgrade.
  2. Try gmpartsdirect.com, I think they have them for $50.94 a set, so you would need 3 sets. Part number is 15178666. Don't know what total shipping would be though, so that could be a deal killer. What are you going to do with the old ones?
  3. My son and I went to the Good Guys Car Show in Puyallup, Wa on Sunday. GM had a display of crate engines and when they fired this baby up it made all Red Blooded American Males (maybe even some Canadian's & females) come running faster than kids running for the Sunday dinner bell being rung by Grandma!
  4. Welcome aboard from a fellow Eastern Washingtonian!
  5. Looks Good! Hope your back mends properly! You might want to take a look at your SS on your windshield; It appears to be upside down.
  6. I let the oil pressure build up, and the idle settles to normal then I'm on my way. I don't accelerate hard until I've driven for 5-10 minutes.
  7. I don't know if ours has it or not. I remember it from when my father in-laws 97 Tahoe had problems with it. Here is a link to a website with info on it: Delphi Electronic Variable Orifice
  8. EVO= (ELECTRONIC VARIABLE ORIFICE)
  9. Excellent choice! I really like the Joe Gibbs wheel.
  10. Here is a web site with lots of info on Oil. Bob Is The Oil Guy Web Site
  11. We were in Monroe, Wa yesterday at a Car Show and when leaving I saw a SSS sitting out across the parking lot all by its self. Drove over by it and talked briefly with the owner who was out walking his dog. He has a Black SS with a black canopy/topper. I asked him if he has heard of SSS.com and he said that he had not, but would check it out. Seemed like a real nice guy. Hopefully he'll check us out.
  12. In FireFox, open up tabs for all the pages you want as your homepages. Then go to 'Tools', 'Options', then click on the 'General' tab. Click on the "Use Current Pages" button. It'll set all the currently open tabs to load when you open Firefox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like he said!
  13. Yea, I would have liked them to have been a little bigger but they are pretty much the same size as other off-the-shelf tips, but to have had some custom made would have probably cost a pretty penny. Here are their spec's if you're interested: Inlet Diameter: 2.50" Outlet Diameter: 2.75" x 5.50" Outlet Width(top): 5.50" Outlet Width(bottom): 3.50" Tip Body Length: 5.00" Tip Inlet Length: 4.75 Overall Length.: 9.75" Outlet Diameter: 2.75" x 5.50" Outlet Width(top): 5.50" Outlet Width(bottom): 3.50"
  14. Could be because most of the business's in the Plaza are being hurt by the gathering and only a couple are benefiting from it?
  15. 1. My personal page 2. silveradoss.com 3. trailblazerss.com 4. gm-trucks.com 5. performancetrucks.net 6. chevytruckworld.com 7. searayowners.com 8. trailerboats.com As you can probably tell; I use Firefox as my browser so I'm not limited to only one homepage. I only use Internet Explorer for the windows updates.
  16. Got it as a gift and they got it at Chevymall.com SS Hitch Plug
  17. Took the SS in first thing this morning and had my new tips installed. They aren't the usual round, oval, or rectangle shape that is so common. Here's the new tips: Here's the old tips:
  18. I voted for the Makaveli Zaint, but I personally think that wheels manufacturers have over done the "Rivet Look".
  19. Every since I've had the exhaust out the back I've been looking for an exhaust tip that is different than the normal round, oval or rectangle. I was looking on ebay the other day and found these. Not round, not oval, and not rectangle, but kind of a isosceles trapezoid. They are stainless steel plated in black chrome. HERE ARE THE SPECS: Inlet Diameter: 2.50 Outlet Diameter: 2.75" x 5.50" Outlet Width(top): 5.50" Outlet Width(bottom): 3.50" Tip Body Length: 5.00" Tip Inlet Length: 4.75 Overall Length.: 9.75" Tried getting them welded on today but the exhaust shop I use was swamped so I have to wait until Monday morning.
  20. I've had two of these, this picture was taken the day I sold my last one in 1996. I also had a 68 Z28 Camaro. The early Camaro's are the best. My first car was one just like this one, except mine only had steel chrome reverse wheels. I've been looking for another one but they are really scarce around here.
  21. I haven't replaced mine yet, I'm going to first try lubing it with HEAVIER GREASE mentioned by one of our members.
