  1. I think I'm gonna give it a try, anything to extend the life of a wax job.
  2. Not sure what you mean I always said I would make a longer version if anyone wanted one. I made the original stripe to match the camaro stripe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, I'll vouch for Craig. Back in 6/05 he said he would make me a version of the Joe Gibbs stripes. I just never followed through with the offer.
  3. It would be used for some custom exterior emblems.
  4. Can someone tell me what grade of Stainless Steel is required in order to be polished to a mirror finish and is corrosion resistant?
  5. I also emailed them for a price quote on plating the SS emblems and they said it would be $5-$7.50 for each piece. Each "S" is 2 pieces, so it would be $60-$90 for all 12 pieces. (not including the dash SS) I had orginally intended to buy some new emblems from gmpartsdirect until I found out the $50.94 price is for one "SS" only. So, I guess I'll live with the "brushed aluminum" look.
  6. 20oz Starbucks cures my "Morning Bog"!
  7. I read this on one guys custom plating website: Q. I have purchased an after market part and want to know if it can be plated? A. We will only plate after market parts purchased from approved dealers. Not all after market parts are made the same. These parts must be capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 180 degrees and if the plastic is too soft and not made from the correct materials, it will warp or shrink. We have tested parts from some manufacturers and they meet our criteria for plating and therefore, we will only plate after market parts purchased from approved manufacturers. I think the front ducts are made of fairly soft plastic, so I don't know if they would be able to be plated. The guy told me that he can plate our SS emblems though for roughly $10 per piece of the "S". Each "S" is two pieces, so roughly $20 per "S".

    Oil life %

Here is a thread on an oil forum by a GM Engineer that talks about the OLM.
  9. I've got just under 30k on my Goodyears and have many more miles to go before they are wore out. Whenever they do decide to give it up, I'm probably going to go with a Cooper tire, an American Made Tire, by an American Owned company.
  10. Check with Quik he said his boss was selling parts off a wrecked SS, he might still have some.
  11. Good one! Hmm, but is she a "true blond"?
  12. Let's not forget "Suzy Super Sport"! I like her!
  13. Years ago, 1978 to be exact, I had a 1968 Z-28 Camaro that was the color of the Blue W/White stripes one. I traded it in on a 1978 Z-28 Camaro. I've had 3 1st Gen Camaros; 2 67 SS/RS's and the 68 Z-28. And I keep asking myself why I ever sold them!
  14. Man, I guess I should have been a little more descriptive in my title!
  15. BALANCE God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the archangel, found Him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired of God. "Where have you been?" God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction, and proudly pointed downwards Through the clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made." Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, "What is it?" "It's a planet," replied God, "and I've put Life on it. I'm going to Call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of balance." "Balance?" inquired Michael, still confused. God explained, pointing to different parts of earth. "For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and Wealth, while southern Europe is going to be poor. Over there I've placed a continent of white people, and over there is a Continent of black people. Balance in all things," God continued Pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and Covered in ice." The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a land area and Said, "What's that one?" "Ah," said God "That's Washington State, the most glorious place on Earth. There are beautiful mountains, rivers and streams, lakes, Forests, hills, plains, and coulees. The people from Washington State Are going to be handsome, modest, intelligent, and humorous, and they Are going to be found traveling the world. They will be extremely Sociable, hardworking, high achieving, and they will be known throughout The world as diplomats, and carriers of peace." Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then proclaimed, "What About balance, God? You said there would be balance." God smiled, "There is another Washington...wait until you see the idiots I put there."
  16. There has been several members who have taken them off to put on a roll pan and have had them for sale in the "For Sale/Wanted" section. You might try a "search" in that section.
  17. We got there just as the cars were leaving, but I was able to get a few good pictures as they drove by. Classy Chassis Car Show
  18. They were leaving a local restaurant with some guys on motor scooters, so maybe they were all traveling together and the guy you usually see driving it was on one of the scooters.
  19. hey your a pretty informed guy... did you just pull that out of your back pocket or what? not many people know what the 7 means on MT plates... or did you do your homework before you started the topic? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd say me being a Cop for 30 plus years had something to do with it.
  20. Yea, it did have a tonneau on it and a female that looked to be about 40 yoa, with blond hair was driving it. She had two other females with her. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So did you follow them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Naw, I wasn't woking, but if I had been, I probably could have come up with something to stop them for, you know how us "douche weasel" cops are!
  21. Yea, it did have a tonneau on it and a female that looked to be about 40 yoa, with blond hair was driving it. She had two other females with her.
  22. Saw a Silver Birch Metallic SS in town today. It had Montana plates on it with the prefix of "7C" which I think means it is registered in Flathead county. Was it anyone here?
  23. If I remember correctly I think you can push and hold the #6 preset button and it will adjust it. Not a 100% positive on this.
  24. Mine is just starting the dreadeed "clunk" so I've been studying the issue. So, if I'm understanding this correctly, you have to remove the steering shaft from the vehicle, lube it, and then reinstall it. And from what I've read some people have had their's greased or replaced several times. Borgeson makes a replacement shaft that is suppose to cure the problem permanently for $187.99. So, I guess my question is, how much of a job is doing the re-grease procedure, or would it be more time & cost effective to buy the Borgeson and doing it once and forgetting about itl?
