[New Exhaust Tips Installed]

Took the SS in first thing this morning and had my new tips installed. They aren't the usual round, oval, or rectangle shape that is so common.

I voted for the Makaveli Zaint, but I personally think that wheels manufacturers have over done the "Rivet Look".

[New Exhaust Tips Going On Monday!]

Every since I've had the exhaust out the back I've been looking for an exhaust tip that is different than the normal round, oval or rectangle. I was looking on ebay the other day and found these. Not round, not oval, and not rectangle, but kind of a isosceles trapezoid. They are stainless steel plated in black chrome.

 

HERE ARE THE SPECS:

Inlet Diameter: 2.50

Outlet Diameter: 2.75" x 5.50"

Outlet Width(top): 5.50"

Outlet Width(bottom): 3.50"

Tip Body Length: 5.00"

Tip Inlet Length: 4.75

Overall Length.: 9.75"

 

Tried getting them welded on today but the exhaust shop I use was swamped so I have to wait until Monday morning.

I've had both rear windows replaced which stopped most of the wind noise. I still have some, but I think it is coming from the door seal. I haven't messed around with the door adjustment yet to see if I can stop it.

['04 SS production stats?]

In 2003, the production was:

 

6,117 Black

2,802 Red

1,103 Blue

 

Making a total of 10,028 Silverado SSs.
