  1. eekroar, that is correct. I got the steel hood for 345 + freight. The part number is GMK-4147-200-031. Shawn, the Keystone hood is a nice piece, but the reason I picked the Goodmark was the fact that the fiberglass hood didn't have the fit and finish I had hoped for. But If the same exact hood came in steel, I'd be all over it in a second. The price is another reason I bought this hood now, as opposed to waiting to afford the keystone. But now that this hood is on, I think it is subtle enough that those who don't know any better may think it is factory. My dad likes my hood, but has the keystone on his DD, and will probably do the same for the dually eventually. By the way, Shawn, didn't I see a post about your hood being damaged???
  2. Thanks, guys. It is a Goodmark hood I bought from Summit racing, but I have a feeling it gets marketed under different names. The box was stamped with something different.
  3. Just be careful with the happygreg, or the sensitivegreg stuff, people may think you're ... Just a thought... I say Angrygreg FTW
  4. Sold the truck? That's too bad. Free bump for a great deal.
  5. Finally, after a few weeks wait, my new hood is on!!!
  6. IMO don't go lighter on the center, it just looks faded. I say graphite/black.
  7. I did mine a couple months before having mine tuned, I didn't have any check engine light. But, I also didn't bypass any o2 sensors, etc. I agree that you should get it tuned as soon as possible, but I don't think it is absolutely critical. You just won't see the full benefit until the tune. However, if you notice it stumbling or anything wierd, definitely get it tuned.
  8. sorry, still tiny pics. Looks nice, though. (I think???)
  9. I agree that the halftime show was pretty bad, but it looked like the whole Black Eyed peas performance was a little... I don't know. It just lacked originality, and I HATE that voice synthesizer crap. Overall, I give it a C- Edit: I almost forgot... That political BS was completely unnecessary.
  10. I LOVE the 442 style scoops, and wish the Keystone style came in steel also, because that is what I would buy.
  11. not to knock the style, but it looks a bit like 99-2004 mustang gt to me... and as for speed, we've had dad's white truck up to about 80ish, and the hood is rock solid. It is actually fairly heavy duty imo... The only reason I bought the goodmark is that the body lines aren't great on the keystone, and the price was about 200+ cheaper.
  12. I would imagine, I'm about 6'2 and have a problem with that low roofline.
  13. guys, I think that's the real bullrun rally, not the show. There is a huge rally that these guys put on as often as possible, but not the reality tv show with the challenges and such. These people pay to be on this rally, I think. link http://www.bullrun.com/
  14. crap, look what you made me do. I just ordered the Goodmark cowl last night... I'm blaming it on you...
  15. I bought a couple sets off GM parts direct. search part number 19121623 link http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm?singlepart=1&AddPartNumber=19121623&partnumber=19121623
  16. unless I had a wife and a couple kids... It's still wicked though. If I had to have a wagon, I'd totally have one
  17. Oh... I meant to say I'm sorry... Hope you feel better...
  18. I've owned one honda (liked it, first new car), one toyota (big mistake, traded the civic for my TuRdra) and the rest were GM. 1 Pontiac, 1 GMC, and 6 Chevy vehicles that my dad and I currently own. (to be honest, 1 of the Chevy trucks is a parts truck, the GMC is my halfway disassembled project that needs an engine and paint and the Pontiac was my first car which is probably next for drivetrain work and paint.) Man, I think I need to sell some projects, lol. As for the future, I could see myself buying another non-gm car, as a commuter car, but for trucks, I will always go GM. Matter of fact, as soon as the SS is paid, I may be getting a turbo-4 powered commuter car. I'm still shopping, though.
  19. I did the Dynatechs in my garage with mostly hand tools. The reason I went with Dynatech is that they are a high quality kit, and a true bolt on. No fabbing pipes to fit, and not too bad of an install. I do suggest if doing it yourself that you lower or loosen your cat-back to clear room for the midpipes during installation. and, for the record, I went with ceramic coating to keep myself from having to replace them in the future.
  20. That's mostly what it looks like to me. Just nothing special anymore.
  21. I checked a couple times tonight, they all are working now.
