  1. Looks nice, what size primaries on those headers? You said they were custom built?
  2. Our local dealer just picked up a L99/auto '11 pace car, and they had to break out the big mop to clean up the drool when I left... Such a nice car. Good buy, man!!!
  3. Ummmm... I kind of... did, LOL. It'll be in later this week.
  4. I got one of those from a buddy at work, but mine was just blue.oh, mine is the p2988 outdoor sportsman model
  5. I have been looking and wondering for awhile, does any company make a Silverado SS in 1:18 scale? please post pics/where you bought it if you have one.
  6. I had the exact same thing, and had the same problem after a couple months. I have a buddy who does alternator work, and he said it is the diodes, and they took out the rotor. In other words, mine was complete junk. IMO find a place that does alternators, and make sure you get a good warranty. My guy got me an alternator for about $100-125 and warrantied it. I haven't had any problems since, and that was over a year ago. Good luck with yours.
  7. That's the plan so far, They'll be closed until Tuesday, so I am just waiting on the check.
  8. Well, my insurance deductible is like 500 bucks anyway, so I don't think that would help anyway.
  9. We got the 55" 120 hz LED for the living room, and I liked it so much, I bought a 46 for my room. Also, the other reason I bought it over plasma is the plasmas run really hot, I put my hand up to one in the store, and it was very hot, but the LED was cool to the touch. I just wonder how the power consumption compares.
  10. Done it, except with an extra relay(like the Painless kit) and love it!!!
  11. looks nice... I like the blue interior lights. What part numbers did you use for the interior and the side courtesy lights?
  12. I was just driving to work, and the "city" was out mowing the ditches, when one of the tractors pulls out in front of me. I stopped, and saw a flicker of something moving my direction. I looked just in time to see a piece of a branch slam into my brand new hood... My hood now has about a silver dollar sized dent in it, which also moved the body line slightly. Luckily for me, the driver of the tractor saw the whole thing happen, and the city will hopefully be paying for the 450.00 in repairs within the next few days. Funny thing is, I've only had the hood on for 60 days, and now it will need a complete repaint. I'll post pics later.
  13. Hmmm... Just trying to think what to say... Oh, yeah...
  14. Can anyone answer this? Everytime I unplug the battery cable from the truck, or it loses power, it idles low for about a week. It stumbles a bit at idle, but runs ok other than that. Anything I can do to alleviate the problem quickly the next time it happens.

That is normal, when you disconnect the battery, it erases the PCMs short term memory......the PCM essentially needs to learn and adapt to how you drive when you reconnect the battery.....this cycle can take a few days, usually 50-100 miles or so......

Cool, thanks. I thought it may have been something about the crank relearn I've seen others talk about.

  15. Nice buy!!! can't wait to see more pics!!!
  16. I saw it Friday morning, and it was awesome 9/10, even if just for the Diesel/Rock fight and chase scenes. But dammit, I missed the end of the credits. What did it show? (maybe pm me, so as not to ruin it for everyone else who hasn't seen it.)
  17. wow, cool vid. That's wild
  18. but your truck looks MUCH better...
  19. That's just Wrong.... but I like your style
  20. Wow, We were in nearly the same situation with my great grandfather's 74 454 chevy pickup. Except we caught up to it while dad's cousin still had it, and he had lost interest. Now for the fun resto part. I hope it all works out for you.
  21. Thanks, guys. Now just to get that last pesky ding out , and a couple minor scratches, and I'll be set. I mean, it's a frickin' compulsion... I do love this truck, though.
  22. I just did a search here for the Silverado sticker below the SS, and it is on GMpartsdirect.com for an original. the part number is 15178667.It's a bit pricey, though. 46.51 + shipping.
