  1. I thought you got 8 credits with hptuners I may be wrong as I bought mine over a year ago... I know brand new with 8? credits it cost $649 and your selling it for $625 minus 2 credits and credits are 49.99 a piece... If this sold for $549 it would be at retail price for the credits left and it would be a good deal at $525... Unless the person you were selling it too had the same year make model vehicle that the two previous credits were used on as if you use 2 credits on a 2003 SS Silverado you should always be able to use those 2 same credits on all 2003 SS Silverados...

  2. The best part of all was when I got home to look over the new log file I had just made, I discovered that none of the above parameters saved!! Oh well, gives me an excuse to go out for another test run!

...I did finally get it figured out and made sure the new config. file saved properly this time!

I remember doing this^ a few times when I first got my HPT Suite... It sucks so bad to do a 30 min data log only to have it not save because you forget to click stop on the record and save as LOL... I am now in the habit of checking and double checking... Hell I dont even drive my truck anymore without scanning with the laptop next to me... The tune tweaking is a nonstop process LOL... Plus I am always checking for Detonation and making sure I am not going to blow up something....

  3. I am in an agreeance with your OneBadMax, That you don't have to break the bank to have a nice cam swap.... I couldnt justify a new oil pump and timing set with only 45K on my truck 6 years ago... I too only did cam, springs, pushrods, gaskets, and milled my heads just a little, and my truck has run flawlessly since then even 9K miles later with 54K on it now and supercharged with meth and nitrous.. I may only drive my truck on nice summer days, but when I do I run her hard.... I do agrre with 2BFast with the TC and injectors...

  4. the problem isnt the solenoids with the zex kit, its the controller box they use. if you were to cut it out, install a regular 4 wire relay, it would work fine. I went with nitrous express myself and trey is an awesome guy to work with and gave me a heck of a discount just for saying he was recommended on the forums. I got his 90mm plate kit, a safe stand alone system, and his best accesory kit for $1450. Now, i still have to make some lines for the external fuel pump and some additional plumbing which ran me another $100 and also had to buy a window switch. I used a NOS mini 2 progressive controller. I bought it used for $150. Plus gauges, and dont forget the cost of nitrous itself ($5.50lb) here as well as the cost of whatever fuel you run in your cell (I run C16 which is $95 5 gallons). it gets very very expensive and id say Im in my setup for about $2k all said and done. But its done right and will flow big numbers. Any question i had when installing my kit, everytime i called, trey answered the phone himself and squared me away. You get what you pay for and whoever said nitrous was cheap hasnt ran it.

I just got everything you mentioned above ^... I am getting ready to do all installing this spring around april may timeframe... Nick (The aSSet) gave me a killer deal on his kit, with 90% of it being unused...) Running nitrous isnt that cheap if you do it right with all the safe guards in place... You dont need the NX SAFE system, or even a wet kit if running low hp jets sizes under 100hp... But why not set it up right the first time and not take the chance of a stock fuel pump giving out or a injector clogging etc....

  5. Its called elevation... Royale Purple Raceway is 10' and where he ran the track is 4200'.

Your truck would run near the same time if you ran where he did on the same day. DA can be a bitch! This is a huge factor and why your track is one of the fastest in the world.

Here is a question for you Danny? Is there an optimal DA or elevation to run at for best 1/4 mile times? The reason I ask is our track at Brainard International Raceway holds the world record for fastest dragstrip set by Tony Schumacher at 337.58MPH in the 1/4mile in 2005... And Brainard's elevation is 1217' Above sea level... I know tons of other factors take in account such as temp and humidity, but thats why I am asking you... I simply don't know... Here is the link I read http://www.brainerd.com/bir/ also http://brainerdraceway.com/facilities/drag-strip/

  6. So weird how people just snoop around for two to three years and then finally join LOL... I did the same exact thing... I snooped around with out ever becoming a member from 2005-2007 before joining in 2008... If I knew how much info and help I would have gotten back in 2005 I would have joined right away and became one of the salt dogs like Mr. P, Krambo, Sprayed99, 2BFAST, and Chase LOL

  7. Yeah it says right on the box not legal in Cali. Thanks for all the comments fellas. Can't wait to push some rounds through her.

LOL yea my XDM 9mm says not for sale in cali.. But I think its because it holds 19+1... I also converted my second mag with an extender so it holds 28+1 now LOL... Why you say??? Cause I can! LMAO

  8. Hey guys my trans has been running around with a 3200 stall for a few months and now a healthy cam. It still shifts fine and seems to be in okay condition. My question is would it be wise to install a transgo and servos now. Or just wait till it shits the bed and order my FLT 5.

Servos are cheap and easy to do, I'd do that at least...

  9. Dont forget about Oil pressure, without that your screwed.

I myself run these with my boosted motors.

    Boost

    Oil pressure

    Fuel pressure

    A/F wideband

    Trans temp

All are crucial and play a important role. The fuel and oil pressure gauges are like $230 a piece. the A/F is around $310

Just curious... Whats wrong witht he factory oil pressure gauge and trans temp gauge... Are they not accurate? I know nothings pefect but they should be close... I am all about getting the necessary gauges but if I already have them I don't see the need to get new ones just to look cool and they do look cool LOL :) ...

  10. Now to jack this thread LOL... Just a quick question... I am going to be shooting a small 50-75 shot spray down the tube of my Maggie but obviously not all the time but often if I have a full bottle :jester: ... I already have BR6EF's gapped at .032... Looking at my MODS and running NO2 would any of you recommend me going to a BR7EF or do you think the 6's will still be fine????

BTW Randy- Since your going to be throwing that TVS on your truck you will need to go a step colder on the plugs... The BR6EF's that I run are non-projected tips better suited for boost and NO2 IMO...

  11. Sounds about right... Either injectors are maxed out or fuel pump not keeping up... check the duty cycle of your injectors on a WOT pull... Anything over 80% is not good... Then if you have a fuel pressure gauge make sure that it stays steady between 53-60psi at WOT... If it drops below 50 your running out of pump... Also its a good idea to log and check your knock sensors as well to make sure there is not any detonation going on, if your running out of fuel at 5k you probably are seeing higher knock numbers there as well...

  12. And having someone from up NORTH wants to go down to Oklahoma with me this summer and drive his SSS down to do some Fishin, but gonna have to pull my boat down so we can go fishing fishing also. Gotta do that with some bottle bass! We had a little board meeting on difference of FishIN and Fishing....meeting Adjourned after that right SuperSport ^^ remembered your handle this time :fart:

I am a little late on the post but what the heck. LOL... We can definatley do some Fishin just not fishing as I no longer have a hitch on my truck or bumper just the BSER roll pan... Heck I dont even have my Spare or spare winch on my truck anymore LOL...
