    Today was Sublime/Cypress Hill/and Bad Religion FTW

    Whoa. That's a mixed up combo saytag. But it's great. Your like me I can listen to about anything but country.

     

    This thread could be pretty cool. Could give everyone a better impression of people they are "Chatting with" on the WWW.

     

    At least their taste in tunes :cheers:

     

    As well as maybe some may look up what someone is listening to if they haven't heard of them.

    Most people would think it was an SS anyway because it was badged. LOL

     

    I hate when people put the SS badges on non SS vehicles.

    I agree but it could have been worse. It could have been a cut out SS out of the old skool rainbow tape Ha Ha! At least this didn't ruin the appearance.

    I just ordered one from the dealer today. $16.66 out the door and yes it's not a stocked item so I'll get it tomorrow or Monday.

     

    It's funny I called the dealer lastweek and it was $14.53 but when I looked online today (gmpartsdirect.com) they said it was $15.48 Dealer cost. Their cost was $9.50 BUT their shipping and handling was $10.95 :| Totaling $20.45

     

    So by going directly to the dealer and paying sales tax. I saved $3.79

     

    I asked the parts guy about the increase and he said the first of each month prices ususally change. Damn!

     

    I know it's a stupid post but it's good information.

     

    You really wouldn't save nothing for this item from gmpartsdirect.com, Now they might do better on other items or more combined items but their shipping is a killer.

    I just got an ss and it came with the chrome wheels, but i would rather the painted wheels. So would any body want to trade?? I live in louisiana, and also i think the wheels might be aftermarket because the center cap has the corvette logo on it, but they are 20" ss style wheels.

     

    Congrats on the purchase.

     

    Pictures would help 100%

    I'm sure someone would want to trade you. I'd like to purchase some but I want to keep my silvers for winter :)

    go thru gmpartsdirect.com. same part number. shipped to your door will probably be a few bucks cheaper. that's who I went thru.

     

    Thanks but that's who I looked up and it only came out to be like .20¢ cheaper. I'm sure the dealer won't charge shipping, but gmpartsdirect had some pretty high shipping. I'll check it again for the h3ll of it.

    Anyone delete their antenna and purchase the passenger cowl no hole peice then decided to put the antenna back?

    Well if you did I'm needing that cowl peice #15113342 if your not going to use it.

    oddly enough we have only had a few storms hre on Long Island this year, and the highest storm total we had was 5" :uhoh:

     

     

    I probably just jinxed myself :idiot:

     

    LOL I was thinking the same after I posted.

     

    Well if so I'll be able to test out the SS in snow. I've only been lucky enough to try it on some sleet and ice HAHA! It passed.

    If you are worried at all about your factory warranty then keep your original PCM and swap it in before taking the vehicle in for warranty work.

    Wouldn't your original PCM log mileage or time's?

    Eg..

    - Take out original say at 30,000 miles and installed Tuned PCM.

    - Say Tranny Failed at 50,000 + the additional hours of runtime. (Still have warranty, Time to go to the dealer).

     

    Mileage difference of 20,000 and whatever in hours.

     

    Would the original PCM reflect a difference or again does it even store that information somewhere?

    Do they sell outright or do you need to send in a core?

     

    I'd like to keep the original and have a tuned one incase it needs a trip to the dealer. or would they even know it was tuned?
