  1. Even though I've only owned the SSS 2 weeks tomorrow and since this thread was posted. I've been looking at all the TB's I see as well as trucks. I don't see them in our little town of 20,000

Some of the kids at work told me there are only 2 maybe 3 TBSS's in town and another guy said he's only seen 2 other SS's driving around in his 100 mile radius of Golf Courses. He wasn't even aware of the SS until I showed him what I was looking for.

But let it be knows. I'm looking for one just to see if I get a wave back. LOL

  2. angry here also...

but this sums it up for me

    http://www.filecabi.net/video/George_Carlin_America.html

    :seeya:

That was great! Got to love George Carlin

I can see emperor72's points and no, Hillary Clinton is not the problem.

I'd also side with desrtrat & George Carlin as far as summing it up or closer to summing it up.

We are believed to have a choice but we don't 99% of the time.

It reminds me of situations at work where....

    - Owners ask Key people. Think about this or that and give us your thougths and ideas to better a given situation, We'll meet in a week.

    - You put your time and efforts into creating such report/ideas along with the other Key people.

    - You meet in a week and basically their mind was made up a week ago on what THEY wanted to do and don't pay no attention to anyones thoughts or ideas, They pretend to and knock it down or don't want to hear it. Sometimes that 1% get's their attention but not very often.

They just want to make you feel that you have a choice. No it's not on the same level as running a country but it all has the same theory behind it.

I Guess I've fallen into the "Good Worker that can do my paperwork class" but I'm still Angry! LOL

  3. Seems the opposite around here. Rarely see anothe SSS but there's TBSS's all over the place. Tried talking to a few of them but most don't even seem to know what they've got??? One guy actually said he wasn't sure but he thinks it's got a hemi in it!! :yellow_loser: I just walked away shaking my head. :banghead:

I actually LOL'd on that "hemi in it" Too funny.

    @Dylan06SS

I'd give a   or a :seeya:  if I'd see another SS in our town or anywhere. I was actually looking at the TBSS but most of my driving time has been in trucks and just loved the way the SSS looked. I'm planning on getting the wife a TBSS next ;)

  4. Well i have been looking for a while for a clean older wagon and i found one a week ago in Cali,it was just picked up from the former owners house and is on its way to its new home.I want to thank Dave U.S.A. bodyguard for doing some legwork on another wagon i was looking into but fell thru. Thanks Dave youre a real stand up guy for going out of youre way to help someone you never met, anyway i plan on doing a pro-touring treatment on her down the road.

I will post more pics upon delivery

    Sweet!

Keep us updated on your progress (pic's)

I once did a 78 Malibu wagon for the wife when our daughter was an infant. (2 door coupes and carseats are a MOFO) It was ummm can't say "All Show" but it was a clean ride, Dechromed body, Chrome Iroc Wheels, Tinted windows, Tunes.

Motor was stock. Hey it was our "Family Truckster" LOL

    Nice find.

  5. im watching really cool.

    It is pretty Bad A$$

It's crystal clear here but it's friggin 3 Deg's out LOL..

I wish I had the means to take pic's.

For those of you with clouds you might be able to find an online webcam of it but that would be like watch grass grow.

*Think I'll order my SS Bowtie now* LOL

  6. Hm I didn't think there would be a difference, but they've actually all been purchased cd's. I think I'm gonna have to rig up a bracket that bolts the dash kit to the back of the dash to hold it more steady and see if that works.

    That's a good start BlueAZSS

Maybe it's the HU. I've always like Pioneer back in the Super Tuner Days (Ages Self There).

Since then I've pretty much stuck to Alpine. Not knocking your system but maybe if you just bought it you could return it and try a different HU?

My last system had the Alpine AI-Net CD changer which mounted any direction you wished and it only skipped a handful of times. That was in a 4X4.

You could always load your tunes on an MP3 player and skipping shouldn't be a problem ;)

    Just a thought.

    Good luck man.

  7. :chevy: I am selling my fiberglass tonneau cover. It is a Unicover Safari. Has two locking latches. It is Arrival Blue in color. Seals along the top of the bedrails and over the tailgate. Asking $450.00 OBO. Also may be selling the bedrug bed liner. Pics are too big to upload. Sorry. Email me for pics. [email protected]. Located in Watertown, SD. :chevy:

I might be interested in the Bed Rug. I'd jump on the Cover but it's not my color.

    You have a PM

    Thanks

  8. Shipped this out this morning.

    Received today 2-19-08

That was pretty damn quick. Item was perfect!

    Thank you!

@ Admin and or Mods..... Maybe there should be a "Feedback" for sellers. Like something under their Nick or something like I've seen on other fourms.

    Until then.

    Great Seller

  9. REQUIRE 93? They sell those cars here, the prelude and the Rsx-s the best we have is 91. Does it specify in your manual 93 cause mine says 91?

I've ran 87 in my truck and it did ping on me going over the bridge....so I only run 91.

    My wife's Saab 9-3 specifies 91 octane........

You got me on that one nxtnlne.

    I stand corrected.

    Manual says...

RSX-S, K20A2 needs "Fuel Type - Premium unleaded 91 octane or higher"

RSX, K20A3 needs "Fuel Type - Premium unleaded 86 octane or higher"

I guess I was just thinking 93 due to my daughter was complaining that the one station in town shut down that sold 93 and the only other one a few miles out of town removed their 93 and switched to Diesel.

  10. Thank you for the pictures BlackSS04

Looks like it's just on the face of the opening. The picture on his site shows them with a billet insert and it's almost flush.

I'll inquire about them when I order the Bowtie.

    Thanks again.

Very sharp truck you have there

  11. Ok, I screwed up! I PM'd TZER, it is billet Aluminum!

In My defense! LOL it does not look like it. it may have been billet at one time, but it is definately stamped.

it is thin. and stamped into shape, not Like a CNC Piece. I am Sorry! :(

to each there own. Not baggin on people that run them. I like how my tail lights and 3rd brake match my paint! lol

    ~Danny

    Hey now.

I might just have to drop my offer $5.00 if it's that wimpy. LMAO

  12. lol. . . .yeah funny but i was refering to better MPG that the SS :chevy:

True true you got me there. she's getting 30 MPG. WHOA!

Point is. if your spec's require 91+ do so no matter what your driving.

As mentioned. you can go 87 but your system is going to adjust, ping and use more fuel which =  less MPG's

  13. Anyone purchase these?

I think they look sweet, they would complement the billet grill and bowtie but!

The picture on his site shows the billet grill and it seems to be almost flush. So is that a replacement grill? It seems the bolt overs would sit further back.

Sorry for my ignorance. Maybe the bolt over grills are only for the top grill and the bumper grills are replacement?

If anyone has any info or these installed can you post some pic's?

    Thank you

  14. Probally wont work since the Xm was never in ur name. If u read the post 18 it has the link. I seen some one try it with new service and xm caught on stating they never had service from them. Its up to u.

I hit the XM and it was working, so for now I have it for Free. I guess the previous owner paid up a year so I don't know when it will expire. Heck, maybe never beings the previous owner owns a trucking business. Maybe he's got a comerical plan? (wouldn't that be sweet)

  15. :withstupid: I still have the factory six disc though. Alot of songs skip because of the bass. Alot of rock songs that don't even hit that hard=(

Same here as streatsboy but I'm all factory atm.

When I test drove the SS I brought a burned CD and all it did was skip. I was bumming. But when I test drove it home I grabbed some burned CD's of a different media type and all was well.

Are you talking "Burned CD's" or "Purchased CD's?"

I've had better luck with the "SONY CD-R's"

This might not pertain to your situation, Just my .02¢

  16. I've seen some SS's wtih this cover on the 3rd brakelight and I tried locating one but can't find one.

It's billet and has the SS opening.

Anyone have one or know where to find one please PM or post a link.

My SS is Red so I don't think I want to go the "black out" route.

    Thanks for your time.

  17. bottom line is put the damn gas that is recommended for any car/truck and if $4 is what you want to save at the pump then buy a damn toyota or honda. . . . . . . .

I wish we had a gas station were I live that sold 93 all I can get is 91 I'll always purchase 91 or better.

    @ 12'SROCK

Funny you mentioned toyota or honda.

My daughters last 3 cars, Honda Prelude, Boosted Civic & now Acura Rsx-s all require 93. Go figure.

As for Toyota's. *Shrugs, Dunno* never owned one LOL

  18. My 95, 5.7, Z-71 started doing something as to what your saying.

It would start but when I put it in gear it died. when it wouldn't die it would sputter to a certain speed then seem to run ok.

Mech. found a few things wrong with it but it all boiled down to the fuel pump.

    - Throttle body gasket had a hole in it.

    - Cat was plugged (melted)

    - Fuel pump bad (weak)

We figured that the TB gasket got a hole in it telling the computer to give more fuel which in turn didn't all burn off and ended up in the Cat, melting it's insides. And of course the system demanding more fuel caused the fuel pump to work more and harder.

    Good luck.
