  1. Thanx for the info guys, looks like most of you like the higher stalling converters 3000 or so, I think Ill probably go with the TT3000. I still may have to do a little towing and it looks like you don't want to go higher than the TT3000 if your going to tow.
  2. I'm thinking about upgrading from the shorty headers and stock cats I have now to a set a LT's. Do you think I'll gain very much more from going with the LT's? Would it really be worth it? I like the Dynatech and OBX because they are direct fit. Looking at both of them, their design is almost identical as far as the header itself goes. I know the mid pipes are different and the OBX comes with resonators instead of cats. Do you think that the OBX's will be too loud and raspy with Corsa sport exhaust? I don't mind loud as long as it sounds good. Can't stand raspy! Is the quality of the OBX good compaired to the Dyna's?
  3. Did you guys notice quicker acceleration with the converter?
  4. Just wondering how many guys are running Yank Torque Converters and how you like them? I'm on a little bit of a budget but don't want to compromise quality either. I'm still running the stock conveter, Transgo shift kit, and Corvette servo. This setup has served me well with no problems. I was just looking to upgrade to something a little stronger to hold up to my boosted 6.0L. I was also hopping to get a little better acceleration and drop a few tenths off my ET's. I was on Yanks website and was looking at the TT2600. It looks to be a pretty good buy. Let me know what you guys think, thanks!
  5. I have a vortech s/c. I'm running a half MAF and half speed density setup. It uses the MAF for normal driving and once the 2 bar MAP senses boost the system switches over to full speed density. I have my IAT in the #8 cylinder's intake runner like malakes said the closer to the cylinder head the better and the more accurate reading of air temp going into the cylinder. I have no KR problems at all.
  6. Hey man welcome aboard, I live in the Springs maybe I'll see you a Bandimere this summer?
  7. This is the only pic I have right now ill try to get some more up
  8. I have a few mods: vortech s-trim supercharger w/ si-trim upgrade 10psi, water/methanol injection, headers, Corsa exhaust, custom tune w/ speed density set up, 255lpr fuel pump w/ hot wire kit, Transgo shift kit, 2" lowering kit, nothing too crazy compaired to some that I've seen on here, but I love it! I gotta work on getting some pics up on here.
  9. I'm running a Vortech s-trim upgraded to an si-trim 10psi with meth injection and no intercooler. I'm pretty happy with the setup. Keep in mind you will need some additional tuning when you put the kit on. Depending on what size nozzle you use and what pump pressure you choose, it will normally richen your air/fuel ratio .5 to .75 of a point so you will have to lean out the motor once it starts injecting. You can also add a few more degrees of timing too. If your tuner is familiar with meth and knows how to take full advantage of it when they tune you can get pretty signifigant gains. I've never had an intercooler (due to a money issue at the time) so I don't know what my IAT's would be if I had one to use as a comparison. My IAT's are usually 15-20 degrees above ambient under boost. It works pretty well on turbo and centrifugal supercharger setups, not as well on screw or roots style superchargers.
  10. Hey everyone, my name is Bryan. I live in Colorado Springs, CO. I've been visiting this site for a while now and just figured it was time to become a member. I enjoy talking "shop" and look forward to meeting some new friends. There's tons of good info here. Great site, keep up the good work!
