  1. thanks dan. i dont really know any of you personally but i look at all of you as a fam. this is a great site and i have made alot of great ppl and friends here.

    thanks yall

Thats how i feel. We may not know everyone personally but i consider everyone friends on here. Your fam is in my thoughts.

  2. I'd be interested in a g2g. Never been to one before sounds like a good time. I would love to see everyones trucks in person as well as show mine off. (which reminds me..i gotta get my pictures up lol) I'm from south of KC but will be up around the blue springs area a lot starting in June.

  3. Hey brother I just had a zippy kit (250.00) 2800 stall (3 something used) new bands and 10 clutch pack with Lucas full synthetic fluid installed for 650.oo. I searched around for about 4 months while I was still in San diego. Do some research theres alot of crap trans shops out there. End state- do the trans mods. Best mod besides custom tune!

Thanks man! But was it 250 for the parts then 650 for labor or was 650 all together?

  4. hello, I am located in el paso texas...I am currently in the market for a truck and came accross a 2005 SS. They are asking $18,495 for it and I am not sure what is installed in the truck. If any of you know how to decode a vin number, I would greatly appreciate it. VIN:2GCEC19NX51306538

here is the link for the truck: http://www.rudolph.gmpsdealer.com/VehicleDetails/1112921094

    any comments would be appreciated...

The price is right...looks good in my opinion...www.carfax.com is a place where you can look up the vehicles service record by typing in the vin it costs around 20 bucks or somethin but its well worth it....hope this answers your question

  5. A high quality catback that I would recomend over the Flowmaster 44 that you had mentioned. JMO

:withstupid: Touring has a lower tone and the sport has a more agressive tone.....www.corsaperf.com to do a little research on it.. www.youtube.com to hear a wide selection and then look www.ebay.com to try to find the best price......great muffler put a sport on my ss then put the touring on our 06 tahoe.....IMO... hope this helps

  6. yeah those stupid ducts cost alot imo. i hit an owl too. kinda, flew into my door at 3 am on the way home from droppin a drunk chick home. no damage thank god

yeah its bs lol but ya it was weird it took the duct clean off except one piece is still attached...i gotta little hammer work to do on my billet insert too jus a little mis shapin at the moment but im jus glad i found it

  7. It would take more than an Volant CAI and an Aero exhaust to beat a real Lightning by 2 1/2 car lengths to 65 mph. Lightnings can go 0-60 in the low 5 second range. There are SS trucks that are capable of beating one, but I'm not buying that SSpoiled18 beat one like he says he did. I'd be happy to give him a shot at a real one if he wants to really see how he stacks up.

Well i agree with what your saying but maybe since the lightning peeled that might be the reason but i know the sub 6 second times are ran with new tires and professional drivers...but our SS's are pretty quick especially 0-60 with a few mods so i say it coulda went either way.

  8. My luck might be as bad as yours. We had a lot of ice here a few weeks back so I moved my truck away from the trees incase a limb fell...well one finally did and it landed on it's branches and bounced right onto the hood of my truck. There's a big dent in the middle of the hood and it's scratched up.

Ouch...yeah my first week from home here at my college i got $1800 worth of hail damage....but i got a cowl hood outa the deal (insurance payed for some)....will insurance cover yours?

  9. I'm wondering if it has a shift kit installed...the shifts feel firm and quick under full throttle...and 2nd kinda "clunks if being light" on the throttle...but if not really getting on it, its smooth. They are nothing like my previous ram was stock...i killed the TqM in it and this still feels stiffer than my ram did, is that pretty typical of stock?

Im not an expert but ive had this same question. i have an 05 SSS too and i've noticed the shifts being pretty firm especially into second. So im assuming that they do it stock. Cant wait to get a shift kit and PCM tune in the near future

  10. That sucks stupid owl. You can try LMC truck they have all the body parts for are trucks the duct sells for $99.99 part # right 31-3395 & left # 31-3394 phone # ia 1800 562 8782. I hope this helps you out

Yeah i forgot all about LMC i think im gonna get it from them cause thats the cheapest ive seen...GM is wanting $172!
