I was driving home from the girl friends tonight and i was gettin close to home (i live in the middle of no where out in the sticks lol) when out of the grass on my right side flew an enormous owl carrying a opossum. Of coarse it had to wait till i got within about 20ft so there was no chance of me getting slowed down or dodging it...Thud! i hit it with my bumper and i ran over it as well...i stopped and got out to see the damage. My driver air duct was completely gone! :mad: (billet grille insert and all) So i turn around to go see if i could try and find it. I find that the duct itself is completely shattered all over the road but i did happen to find my billet insert (kinda beat and bent up but it could be worse)

     

    Anyone got any ideas on where and how i go about getting a new duct and maybe grille insert?? Our near by chevy dealer has an awful parts and service shop so is there a way i can get one faster and cheeper than they could get it??? Thanks for any input on this

  2. i have somethin too. Mines more of a flutter under my feet that i can lightly here and feel under light throttle at 55-60 mph. I havent checked it out yet but when i first heard or felt it was thinking maybe a u-joint?? :confused:

  3. I like lifted trucks and i have seen an SS lifted before that looked really good. This is a very clean truck but it has the wrong wheels and tires :nono: ...if he changed them it'd look good. Our trucks look good regardless and i think this guy was jus tryin to be different than most of SS guys. (jus his style i guess but he is in desperate need of some assistance lol )

  4. Ive been kicking around the idea of getting a PCM tune and have been hearing a lot about having to get a shift kit with it cause the stock tranny isnt strong enough. Im wanting my stock reliability to still be there. I'm not lookin for race performance jus a nice increase in power. Do i need a shift kit with the tune? If so how much can i get one for? And can i install it myself? (its more rewarding if i can) i dont wanna mess anything up though.

  5. Justin can remove how much ever you would like. Im running 80% pulled normal and 100% removed in tow/haul. Truck runs just fine! :thumbs:

     

    Ha i was just thinking about that cause i know the tow/haul and normal mode run off two different codes or something like that and was wondering if i can have a mild tune in normal mode then have a total haul ass mode in tow haul?

  6. I am looking into a Blackbear Tune and noticed they take a certain percentage of torque management out. Doesn't my truck need to have a certain percentage of TM to run in cold weather?? This is jus what i was told. Anyone out there have any input on this?
