Looking forward to seeing what's next, good luck man. It was an awesome truck.
-
Could be traveling down to the pump from somewhere follow the stream
-
Now that I think of it its a ton of work to convert to rhd. looks like a nice truck but damn that price tag lol
-
I say take em off, I love my cutouts. Make sure when you put them on to angle them so you have some ground clearance. Where are you gonna put them?
And cutout drone is the worst but it sounds awesome all the same. I don't leave mine open for very long though
-
Says I have to sign in
-
What grade gas were you running?
-
Shit dude... That's terrible. Glad you're okay though. Trucks can be replaced
-
Required, no. but its a good relatively inexpensive investment that helps the electrics stay in balance so there's no dimming our anything like that when the fans come on.
-
I'm running the beta, ill do all that tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the tips. I'm gonna check the grounds again and the voltage going to the pcm pins
-
I got this one, bolt on and plug in. you need a longer belt though. 93 inch.
-
Nah they connect the heads coolant passages its a little metal tube right above the water pump underneath the tb
-
The crossover tube that is in the front, there's 2 in the back too but without the crossover tube so it just blocks the coolant from coming out those holes back there
-
Its brand new lol putting out steady 12.6v
I might try to go get different studs to connect the battery to the terminals.
-
wont write at all, just tried write entire. same thing. this is really frustrating when im so close....
-
Found the problem lol I feel dumb, was the coolant block off thing, wasn't bolted down at all
-
Hmm, ill go through all the lines and bolts again
-
my buddy took his chevy truck engine and added a hydrogen mod to it. had all sorts of ball jars full of water and electrodes in em. wierd. didnt work by the way
Will someone please ban this guy...
-
Got home yesterday and had a little puddle under the truck, its leaking coolant very slowly from the bottom back corner of the passenger side head. I tried to tighten that bolt and it stopped dripping but apparently started back up this afternoon. Really don't wanna take the head off. Any ideas guys? I might go through the tightening sequence again just for thoroughness. and yes it was torqued with a torque wrench in sequence.
-
Nah, scanner wasn't running
-
Ha, nice lol least he has a sense of humor about it
-
The key is in run, I don't really wanna do a write entire since it takes forever and isn't as safe as a write only, but if nothing else works ill give it a shot
-
Checked the grounds, even sanded them where they contact. Ill check fuses and ill out the battery on a charger tomorrow even though its only 3 days old lol
It let's me read but not write. Even pulled off the tune that was on the pcm and tried to reflash it and it wouldn't take.
-
Got everything hooked up on my truck with the new engine and im trying to load the new tune via my tablet(which ive done before) and it keeps giving me this error
It says, "Mode 1 Erase Failed - Check 1 Failed"
anyone have any ideas?
-
Hopefully it won't be another john carter flop.
Truck wont load tune!

Alright here we go, I literally did everything y'all suggested and still nothing. I checked the ground location to make sure it was good, checked the grounds going into the pcm via the pins, checked the voltage going to the pcm and its at a constant 12.3v checked the voltage going to the obd port and its at 12.0x fairly consistently. Took out the radio, radio amp, and onstar fuses, tried parking lights and rereading the tune (which it does read fine) tried to write it with one change and, same error.
I'm at a loss of what to do. Although there are some weird things.
1. Fuel gauge says empty even though I put in 5 gallons of new gas a few days ago
2. Fuel pumps don't turn on when the key is in run, I checked the pcm pin that controls it and its at 12.3v as well. And I switched the relay with the drl relay and still heard nothing when the key is in run. they are supposed to turn on correct? For like 2 seconds?
Any ideas? This is very frustrating.
I have a total of 3 grounds connected in. the engine bay on the engine, 1 behind the intake, and 2 on the drivers side on the block above the oil pan and below the head. I checked the voltage from the raw metal of the block near the 2 grounds being careful not to touch the terminals themselves and it read 12.3v steady. Did I miss a ground somewhere? Is one not supposed to be on the block? Checked voltage to the frame as well and 12.3v constant.
I want my truck running again![:(](https://forum.silveradoss.com/uploads/emoticons/default_sad.png)
