  1. GMPP Hot Cam. Has a nice lope, 112-LSA, .525 lift INT & EXH. Or the more radical ASA cam, same lift, 110-LSA. Both are very easy on the valvetrain. Talked to two different guys about the ASA cam. One was on here, hes running it in his SS and loves it. He uses his truck as a DD and says he tows with it just fine. Other guy had it in a 4.8 and loved the power and lope. Both of these are good DD cams but other cams out there will make more power.
  2. Thats a very good system. But the one a bought was for a 5.3, only difference is that it comes with a y and it only cost me $329.
  3. I would or have some one port your stock heads. Stock they flow the same as 5.7 heads but have small (61cc) chambers were LS1's have 68cc and LS6's are in at 65. With your gearing you could switch to a LS1 or preferably a LS6 or LS2 intake manifold and bottom end shouldnt be affected to bad. A trailblazer ss intake is also a good choice. Supposed to flow the same as an LS6 but not have a negative effect on bottom end TQ. My 0.02.
  4. Welcome to the best forum thats more like a family.

  12. Looks like one hell of a good time!
  13. Best bet is to find a dealer or shop that warranties there work also. Recharging systems is not hard but you do have to be right on the money with everything if you want it to work well and last.
  14. I went with Wheatley for my tune and love it. Any of the venders from the site are all very good. And yea with you living in NY you most deff want to go with stainless LT's.
  15. Thats gonna be a tough one. Might have to go look at a 98 on down x-cab to try and get some ideas.
  16. You dont want painted headers if you live in an area that has winter weather. The sh!t they put on the road will rust them out in no time. I noticed a lil with just the tuned PCM in. Then installed my PCM that was tuned for the headers and all i can say is wow. They are deffinantly worth it. Go with a stainless header. You will be much happier trust me. Check this thread out. If you go with painted headers i would do like jc06VMAX done. header install
  17. Selling my factory headlights off my Denali. These go for around $165 per side depending on were you get them from. Asking $130 OBO for both shipped any were in the us.
  18. I know many of you have kids and was wondering if anyone had rode there newborn around in there SS. I am in need of a good rear facing car seat for my truck as i am not happy with the way the one i have sits in the truck. Any info will be greatly appriciated.
  19. Sounds like a good deal to me. Only concern i would have would be what i would do in the winter time.
