Nothing good to report. Insurance paid her out. I feel a I got a fair settlement. I wish I could say I am going to replace her with another one. But I will most likely jump over to another SS just not a truck. This situation left me sour when it comes to trucks especially in H town. Maybe in the future when I retire and move. I will be putting up a few parts I had collected for sale soon.

Sorry to hear that man!!Glad the insurance was not much of a hassle.

Thank you! I started digging and actually found some parts awhile ago! But figured maybe this way would be easier if someone seen this post :D

How is the build coming!? What color is the truck?

  3. Welcome to the site!!! If you go through the site on the For Sale/Wanted section it might take a minute but there are ALOT of parts for sale on this here. The site does not get as nearly as much traffic as back in the day, so you have to dig! You should be able to find what you want.    Also you are a new member wanting stock parts on a limited run truck for a clone, this could take a min. Good Luck!!

I have been shopping for a while now to try and pin down the values on these trucks. But it seems to me that the prices are all over the place. Im looking for a low mileage model, so its tough to know where I should start with my offers. I found one with 71k/$15,500, but it sold before I could even pick up the phone. That seemed like a really good deal. Now Ive got my eye on a 33k/$21,500 and a 49k/$23,500 ('03-'04). Based on prices Ive seen, those both seem to be a bit high. I was thinking more around $19,500-$20,500. Some say that those are fair market prices, but Ive seen many with 60k-90k go for $5,000-$7,000 less. Is 20k miles really worth $5,000 more in value??

Welcome to the site, and congrats on trying to purchase one of the best GM trucks ever built! What year do you want (03-06/Intimidator), 2wd or AWD, also color. I assume all stock. This all has a factor on the price. They are definitely out there and I have seen a few nice ones on Craigslist with around 20k-40k mileage for decent price. Any updates on the hunt!?

My beautiful 06 Intimidator SS was stolen today. Worst part I know exactly where it's at ( due to a Dronemobile GPS alarm) but the police say they can not go onto the property unless they or I can physically see it. It was all stock with factory model correct rims. This feeling sucks.

OOooohhhhhh Man!!!! I am sorry to hear this! The feeling is horrendous, the police do absolutely nothing.... Do you have any updates!? I got my TBSS stolen, all they recovered after I posted some stuff on Instagram were the license plates in the back of some guys truck in South Gate! Let's hope they can get yours recovered based on the gps data!

  6. Welcome to the site! I would recommend you change the oil in the front diff and transfer case to see what kind of debri is in the oil. How many miles on the truck? Depending on how much metal shavings come out would determine the severity of the damage. After replacing the fluid if it still continues to make noise after a few miles than it may be time to plan for a rebuild.  Second, to dyno tune a AWD truck would be expensive especially if the truck is all stock. It would be better to spend your money on a basic mail order tune from one of the Vendors on this site.

  7. I emailed them but havent gotten a response and my Belltech just arrived after ordering yesterday. Knowing me Ill put this one on during the weekend and buy the Hotchkis when they run a batch lol.

Haha that's how thst S**t happens. I had the Addco but when I swapped in the 14 bolt the sway bar hits the pumpkin and U bolts are to small. The guy I spoke with at Hotchkis said he would call me Monday/Tuesday with more accurate information on what is available and what he can do for us.

  8. I looked into the Hotchkis as well. Discontinued many years ago.... the beltech is the closest to the Hotchkis bar..... I inquired about seeing if Hotchkis would build their rear bar again and I think they needed a minimum order of 20. I wasnt going to front over 6k and hope I could find enough people to buy them or try and put a group buy together.....

I think we should start a List to see who wants the Hotchkis Sway Bars. It may take a few months to get 20 people. But looks like we may have 3-5 orders here now. I'm down for a set.

Just called Hotchkis, they would need 25 Front OR Rear Bar orders before they will make a run! I think a List should be started!!!

  9. As of 9/11/2017 I traded my 2003 Silverado SS in on a 2017 Silverado Custom double cab. I had 14 years of driving a awesome truck it was just time to change.

Congrats on the new Truck! How many miles did the SSS have upon trade in!?!
