[Help with my SS suspension]

I was wondering if anyone else's suspension squeaks on an 03 Silverado SS and a mechanic said it was the front sway bar but is trying to charge me $1000

 

Any updates on the suspension squeaks? The front swaybar has two bushings that mount against the frame and two end links which connect both ends of the swaybar to the lower control arm. In most cases the swaybar itself does not need to be replaced only the bushings and/or end links.

I do agree that this site has slowed down and in some cases we are to blame ourselves. With such a rise in social media we veered off the path of .com's (IMO). I have been a member of the forum for 9 years now. Without it I would have not been able to get my SSS to the level is is today. We have such a vast assortment of How to's and discussions (That should be read before commenting lol). My SS is not and will not ever be for sale. I would like to do my part and begin to be more active on the site and a help to the SS community. I would like to thank Downeast Johnny for his prolonged dedication to the site.

I would goto the local u-pull it. By the time you paid shipping it will kill you.... there are millions of GM trucks out there in wrecking yards and I'm sure what you need would be fairly cheap.

I agree with you, I was only trying to stay original and maybe help someone clean out there garage. I plan on getting it powder coated anyway.

The TCI is a stout piece. I can see where people wouldn't wanna spend almost $300 though, but if you spend $1000+ on a converter......why not? Lol

I ordered mine through Summit Racing for like $140ish I believe. Converter depending on your set up. They are great for power just not idea for dd.
