Hello, I'm new to this forum. Tomorrow i'm picking up an 04 SS AWD with 109k on it. It is all stock besides 24's, ,magnaflow exhaust, and stereo. I have about $2500 to spend on upgrades/aftermarket parts. I am into power, would appreciate anyones advice with what i should do with my money to gain some hp/tq/performance in general. Thank you!! Pics will come soon.
Thinking about CAI, aftermarket cam from Texas Speed, headers??
Congrats on the the new truck! I would highly recommend you check and replace all fluids. The front diff and transfer case would be the first two fluids to get done. As for power there are lots of options..... My question to you would be what is your end goal with this truck. I would keep the stock airbox (this is not the limiting factor of air flow). Depending on if it has a CEL or any dash lights I would tend to those first, than get a Custom Tune. Longtubes will get the truck moving and there are several options from $350-$1,500 catted/ without cats. You can pick up a LS2 90mm Silver blade TB and and X-link for about $400 total. Finally, cams there's a million options. What do you want your driveability to be also this goes back to your end goal.I wouldn't purchase a cam until I figured out the build. If you have E-85 stations around you I would jump on that, less than $160 for parts. Hope this helps!

Motor is all stock now. Getting headers installed Thursday. I should've asked heads and cam because I'd definitely do both at the same time
Any updates? Did you get the heads installed! What did you end up going with.

WOW! Thing1 is da man!
x2 helping out the crew!

This is how they should look when installed, can you post up a picture of of what your looking at, I'm sure we can help!

The create a new account is what I'm talking about. I've had several people call me that wanted to purchase a 4L80E input adapter and they all said they cannot create accounts to send PMs because the reCAPTCHA is broken at the bottom of the page. I tried it myself and couldn't get past it either. I'm using Chrome for what it's worth. I attached a pic of the problem. When I searched google for a solution, a lot of people said you could enter random stuff or enter reCAPTCHA V1 IS SHUTDOWN and it would work but I get denied every time because it says the reCAPTCHA didn't match.
I understand, I have just sent an email with a solution to the site Admins. I will keep you updated when I hear back.

Well y’all, not even 75k miles and tranny rebuild is toast. At least 3-4 lockup will not grab anymore, although r-1,2 are just fine. This is my work truck and I do not have the time to do the 80swap. Should I go with flt this time? As I actually made it home instead brokedown on the side of the highway and 60 miles from home, in which I had no choice but to toe to a local shop. Lookin for opinions. Thanks! #teamnosleepfuxkinsucks

Doesn't this truck have a 4L80, you said it was a 2500 correct.

03 awd ss mostly stock...rolling about 40 45 down the road my friend pulls up next to me in a 2017 bone stock ford edge 4 cyl. He honks 3 times and blows my ass away...im super embarrassed is there something wrong with my truck ???
Gotta watch out for the EcoBoost, those little turbos sneak up on ya. Time to upgrade the SSS. Get a Custom Tune!

If they really wanted money, they would fix the registration recaptcha so new users could actually sign up. Registration is broken and no new users coming.
I have just tried to Create a New Account, worked fine. Is that what you are referring to as Registration. If it is not working on your end, we can shoot an email to the admin. New users should be able to sign up with no issues.

Great foundation for a project! Keep us posted.

We are definitely getting thin on low mileage trucks. The price is the price, if it's something you GOT to have you will make it work. Compared to what's on the road today and the $$$ of these new trucks I'll take a GMT 800 anyday!

Let's keep up the flow with Supporting Member Sign ups. Also we need to encourage Guests to become Members. I constantly see there are hundreds of Guests logged in at a time but less than 10 actual Members. Any suggestions on what we can do to shift those Guests to Members.

Just did it!

Arrival Blue SS In Coronado, CA

Posted
Arrival Blue spotted in Coronado. I know there are several people on the local Military Bases that drive SSS, but not members. Shooting in the wind here lol. Guy that works next to me has an 03 SSS.... He's never even heard of this site. I am trying to get him on here so he can order some parts! If you see an SSS owner talk to them. Gotta keep the fire alive!
