  1. Thanks man. Yeah, spinning is definitely a problem! I lined up for my last run of the day directly after the 11.07 run, had my best dry burnout of the day, launched and something to do with my drivetrain broke. The elusive 10 second run just didn't happen today for me, but if I can get her to hook better, I'm guessing a 10.8 is doable...not bad for a stock short block on 22" street tires!

...and your setup should get you well into the 10's for sure

  2. Engineers...geesh!

Anyway, I'm getting pretty bad wheel spin now even with my massive 22's and rear springs clamped, so I ordered some limit straps for the front end. Weather's supposed to be rainy and shitty for the track so I'm going to shoot for Sunday the 8th...can't wait!!

  3. That coming from a guy who works with wood all day. Nice one. Nice try

Why were you on Craigslist list looking for men. Wow you and your buddy need to get together so he can stick his foot up your ass while you work with his wood

Nice try, I own the company and, unlike you, don't work with wood. My only job is to keep my employees busy. However, it's easy to understand how a broke gay guy like you can't understand the fundamentals of a business owner since being broke usually = lack of intelligence

  4. It's was great toilet reading material everything, that you and your butt buddy post.

Put me in my place lol. That's rich.

I agree I love how quick the two of you go straight to name calling it's cute. Did you guys call each other to figure out who would say what.

It's awesome how you advertise on your status, "Being Broke Sucks", most probably sell your SS because you're broke and can't afford it, go out and buy a POS Ford to save a few bucks, then become a hater because you're broke and jealous.

Here's some advice for what it's worth, get a job - if you already have a job, get a better one that pays more money so you can afford a few toys. Maybe then you'll change your attitude about people like me who work hard for nice things :loser:

  5. Are You Always A Dick Bag? Maybe it's just because you live in Boston. You can't really say shit when you own a ****ing ford! Maybe we like our 10+ old trucks. Everyone has posted kills on here for years but you guys only have a problem with Randy posting his. I'm pretty sure if your Ford was fast enough to beat a civic and you had it on video you would post it. Personally I like seeing Dick Bags getting there asses handed to them. When you go from Chevy to Ford people's feminine sides show.

I'd stick my foot in your ass like that too Dick Bag

    You nailed it Jason! crackup.gif

It felt great to shit while reading these comments! Nice work bro, way to put a dick bag in his place laugh.png

  6. Good point. It just seems a bit weird they would have 3/4" hose attaching to 1/2" inlets since cooler IAT's = better performance no matter how many RPM's you're spinning it.

I'd be very interested to know what you find out from them and if/how the inlets can be made larger.

  7. Not that I know anything about supercharging. But in the hydronic heating world it is possible for fluid to be pumped too fast which would cause your symptoms. Why? because the fluid is going thru the cooler too fast and doesnt have enough time to reject the heat. It is the same in the air conditioning in your truck if you slow the fan it will actually blow cooler air because the air has more time for the heat to be absorbed by the evaporator. Kind of the same principle in the heating side. If that all makes sense anyways....haha. Loving your truck and makes me want a supercharger.

Thank you. The Maggie is awesome but can become a money pit if you want to keep going faster like me, lol

Well, today I swapped back to my old Bosch pump and the IAT's were running 10+ degrees higher than the Varimax! ...so much for my theory. It's obviously the coolant sitting inside the ice box and the lengthy runs of plumbing. ...Great for the track but not so great for driving around town

I did try out the ice box today for the very first time and it worked freekin awesome! IAT's went from 100 to 77 instantly and only went up to around 102 after a wot pull. The wot pull I did before that with no ice, they went from 100 to 162 with the Bosch pump. Ambient was about 62

  8. That's a good lookin truck you have!

14.9's not such a bad time. Before I went crazy on mine a couple of years ago I ran a 14.2 with headers, exhaust, stall and CAI, so it shouldn't be too hard for you to shave that down a second or two.

  9. Looks good, I have big ass wheel syndrome too even though I know it doesn't help.

I just finally got the tuning stuff done on mine too, took forever but makes such a difference. Now to actually find time to go to a track and find an AWD dyno.

Will hopefully be getting my interior and some engine bay wiring cleanup done over the winter.

Yeah I remember reading your awesome build thread. Hope you can make it to the track this fall and post up your results...good luck!

  10. Thanks Jason! I know I've said it before, but I'm jealous of your truck too...love that blue man! Now that you've got that Denali lookin sweet, I'd love to see you slap a Maggie on there!

A 10 second run would surprise me, but I'm honestly not getting my hopes up because of my big ass wheels. Although, I was really surprised this morning when my times improved so much just from the second update Zip gave me. I'm anxious to see what he has up his sleeve for the track this Friday! I just hope they're cool there and let me make a few passes - one and done would really suck!

  11. Before I added the big exchanger and pump, mine was around 10 degs above ambient just driving around town...now it's around 30. It was 58 degrees when I made my run this morning but IAT was 88.

The only reason I haven't changed my setup is because I want to see if the ice box works at the track, but more than likely it will be coming off next year so I can experiment with different routing/pump options since it's much more of a street truck. I may go back to the bosch pump in the same location under the battery and keep the big exchanger. One would think that the engineers at Magnuson experimented with different options as part of the R&D and already chose the most efficient option, but it doesn't hurt to try.

  12. Varimax. My IAT's are actually higher since I put the big heat exchanger with fans and the varimax pump on, but my setup is designed for use of the icebox with much longer lengths of tubing than I originally had. I think that varimax may be pumping too fast if that's even possible. When I hit the track this week, I'll try out the icebox to see if it makes a difference

  13. Randy, did you have a scan of your wo pull? If so could you share your starting and ending IAT? I am fighting high IATS, from what I recall you upgraded pumps and hx right? I am seeing like a 70-80 deg climb from 0-120.

    Yeah man, IAT was 88 then 134 after the pull - no ice in my icebox. That's from the pull I just made in the vid below 0 - 112 in 9.32 on 15psi, 0 - 59 in 3.297, 0 - 101 in 7.578, 0 - 104 in 8.187...holy shit, it's getting faster

I'm def impressed Randy. If somebody wants to run you on the street they better bring Murder Nova or The Crow lol

    lol, I'm still smiling bro

...just made this one after Zip sent me over my second update tune

3" rip pulley and new, larger belt vid

  14. Thanks Jason, it feels like a beast too! As mentioned, it's not dialed in yet but for the very first 0 - 100+ run, I'm happy with the numbers compared to last year. Last year around this time: 0 - 60 @ 3.985, 0 - 99 @ 8.884, 0 - 105 @ 9.992. Respectively, I bettered my last year times by .501, 1.541 and 1.555 :D

Also, I still have my old 3" pulley on there which needs to be shimmed out even more than it already is and is causing a belt squeak/slip AND that run was with the cutouts closed  I'm hoping the 3" rip pulley and open cutouts will get me a little more at the track...I may even decide to slap on the 2.8
