Yep, still .028 but mine feels really strong all the way through the power band. Your build looks really, really awesome too Rob! I'm very anxious to see what both of ours will do at the track...you've got a good shot at 10's. I'm hoping mine will be somewhere in the mid to low 11's - my guess is 11.4 My truck's getting dropped off Saturday for the head swap, so I would expect he should have it done by the following weekend since he only works 2 or 3 days a week because he has a regular 9 - 5, plus he's finishing up another car so he probably won't get much, if anything done Saturday with a hot engine. Since I have some time to kill while the truck's being wrenched on, I was thinking about looking up my two of my favorite people's Moms to see if they want to play a little tonsil hockey

I'm an admitted novice and would never give advice to anyone about something I'm not qualified for, unlike you, recommending the very worst reviewed cutouts on the web. Thanks big guy!

Since you and I are far from friends, you saying that I, "cheaped out" couldn't have been taken as a joke and is therfore a disrespectful statement plain and simple. I obviously looked at Dougs first and the negative reviews far outweighed the positive ones. My decision had absolutely nothing to do the cost. Not to mention, Zippy's recommendation was also the QTP cutouts. I welcome all comments that are respectful and has nothing to do with agreeing with me... I just don't like either one of you guys Glad to hear that, they came highly recommended!

I think it's in my best interest to listen to people's advice who actually have first hand experience with a product and more importantly, who actually own a Silverado SS - not someone who comes onto my thread and makes comments to disrespect me. Dougs headers electric cutoutsSummit Racing Verified Purchase bought these just over a year ago. Not much use and one motor has failed already 1 wont close Summit Racing Verified Purchase Installed easy enough. After I cycled several times in my shop one motor lost torque. Will see if warranty is any good. Dont buy these cutoutsSummit Racing Verified Purchase I have a cousin who owns a muffler shop and puts cut-outs on cars all the time, in fact he used to sell the Patriot equivalent of these cut-outs. When i took my car to him to have him weld the y adapters into my exhaust he saw the cutouts i bought and warned me against installing them. He explained that he recently put them on a car and it didn't even get out of parking lot before they stopped working, he put another pair on and they lasted a couple of days. I didn't listen to him and had them put on anyway, and they were great!!! Unfortunately, they lasted about 2 months then one of them stopped working. I took it off the car and disassembled it and was shocked at the design of these things. They have almost as many gears as a swiss watch and one of which had no more teeth left. There are too many moving parts which increase the chance of failure, The metal used for the gears is sub-standard. Looking at the internal design I find it impossible to see how these things could last for more than 6 months even when that is only weekend use. Not sure on this one.Summit Racing Verified Purchase I, along with 2 of my buddies bought this product. One set stopped working after 2 times. The other set had a broken wire in the harness. My Mechanic re-wired the second set, and I am waiting to see how long before they stop working again. He told me that he does not want to install them at this time. Did good for a day!Summit Racing Verified Purchase Most of materials are pretty good quality, but both of the solenoids broke the first day. doug's headers exhaust cut-outsSummit Racing Verified Purchase quit working after 2 uses 1.0 out of 5 starsStay away. Bymjron April 22, 2014 Verified Purchase This is the second set of this product that I've had installed. In both cases, the product lasted less than a month before they started failing to close completely. Extremely disappointing. 1.0 out of 5 starsDisappointed, just like the first poster said Byrick maniscallion October 13, 2014 Disappointed, just like the first poster said... one of mine failed in a month or so in the almost all the way closed position then rattled and buzzed between shifts, it sounded horrible, IMO i wouldn't recommend these to my worst enemy and pretty darn expensive to boot...put your money towards something else, not worth the r&r and return hassles 1.0 out of 5 starsTook a while to complete the build. Had them ... ByYo Meon May 25, 2015 Verified Purchase Took a while to complete the build. Had them on for a month or so before they quite working. Wanted to return them but was informed it is to late because of when I bought them. Loss of over $400.

These should solve any back pressure problems I may currently have... Hopefully I'll get these installed later today or after I get her back from the head swap this weekend
  7. Y thank you Mr.moderator. Trust me, I go out as much as possible hoping to line up with a really fast car. Just yesterday I was lucky enough to get next to a 911 turbo but the dude wouldn't bite. Sooner or later it'll happen
  8. Oh no, you're not butthurt at all - you only have others posting butthurt signs, have an ugly-ass 300 as your profile pic, have two other slow/ugly Dodge & Chryslers in your sig. AND are clearly trying to defend Dodge/Chrysler products in a thread entitled, "Come on, a Chrysler 300...really?" ...you're not delusional at all pal Secondly, here's a quote from the sub-title of the category, "Street" I'm posting in, "Its All About The Stoplight. Post About Your Off Track Experiences Here". Unfortunately, I can't choose who wants to race while driving down a 45 mph zone, or especially who I have the luck of lining up against at any given light. However, I can assure you I'm not scared of ANY vehicle driving down the road and will race anyone, anywhere, anytime. ...at least I have the balls to street race - I don't see you posting shit about your turds. The "laughable" kills I've posted in the past week or so are: Porsche Cayenne, 6.4 liter Challenger and this one, but you are correct about the latter 2 being laughable turds Oh yeah, we will see what's up when I make it to the track in a few weeks too and I'll be sure to post plenty of vids.
  9. Thanks Erick, me too Hell yeah, do both bro. Glad my truck could inspire you, thank you! I agree Shaun! I think they go around thinking they're the shit until they get spanked and butthurt like this guy vvv You are clearly in the wrong place when your anus gets sore from, what I thought was a very entertaining vid of a SSS destroying a Chrysler, AND from a Chrysler owner who picked on me for the race I might add. If you don't like my posts/vids, don't watch them sir. This site is nearly dead and posting fun vids like mine makes it a little bit better IMO. I'll keep em coming as requested and I'll be sure to get a vid of my SS mopping the floor with yet another SRT 8 and hopefully a shit cat or two...have a nice day
  10. Thanks Muggs, Chrysler/Dodge products are the second worst on the road IMO...pure pus wagons - especially the styling of the 300 SRT 8 models ...that is unless you're 85 yrs. old like this dude was, or dark skinned people seem to love the hell outta them too
  11. haha, tell me about it! I'm pretty sure it's the license plate Something like this maybe Thanks Rick, it's a good time for sure!
  12. lol, he must have really thought he could smoke me. I saw him in my rear view changing lanes and passing people to try to catch up to me before the light. Then after I smoked him he rolled his window down and said, "I guess that's not stock"! So funny, little does he know even a stock SS would have destroyed him
  13. lol, yeah I think he was scared to even look over, hehe She'll get up and move...finally getting the heads put on next weekend too, can't wait for that! Yeah, it's always a good time to spank someone who's askin for it haha, yeah and dude was still trying to race me after I let off
  14. Cruisin down the road with my buddy and some 'ol man tried to get frisky!
  15. After I leisurely passed this kid in a BMW, he immediately passed me and was weaving in and out of traffic trying to show off what he believed to be a fast ride. Here's what happened next...

Kickin down with some dual 3" cutouts that will be installed on the 3" mid-pipes directly off the headers. I already ordered them but wanted to get the exhaust installed first. This way I have the best of both worlds when cruising around town. The Corsa was WAAAY too loud and sounded like complete horseshit after I put the 1-7/8" ARH's on and pullied down. My neighbor even put a sign on my work truck a while back asking me to not leave the development on the accelerator so hard, hehe.

Thanks - Haha, maybe so. I think he was the non turbo model just because I destroyed him so bad. Dude was all the way in the throttle too. The non shows a 0-60 time of 5.1, so the turbo @ 4.2 would have been a closer race.
