Awesome! Good choice with the Florida move too, you'll love that scene out there! I visited my buddy who used to live in Tampa and had a great time, you'll find that most of the really hot babes are titty dancers, lol

Nice bro! You gonna make the kool cruise this year?????

That's a tough call. I would probably take it back to the dealer and see if they'll fix it, then make a decision based on that. There are still plenty of SSS's around for sale, so I wouldn't be afraid to give it back and look for a better deal elsewhere if it's condition bothers you that much. I bought mine on here from another member a year and a half ago with only 28k miles and paid 19.5k. Good luck with your decision.

lmao, now that dude's got a set a chompers!

All you have to do is call Zippy @ 702-406-0333, tell him your mods and he will mail you a PCM that has the tune already installed on it. Then all you need to do is swap your PCM's

Better late than never...welcome!

Picture request! 22 reps on black SS and ride question

2/2 drop, 305 40 22 with no rubbing -
I'll bet it's out of alignment since I've never had anything aligned. I keep getting aluminum on the back of the belt which makes me think it's slipping. I started out with the 3.3 pulley and ran the Green Gates K081088 which is 109-3/8", then went to the 3" pulley and slapped the K081079 which is 108-1/8". Now I put the smallest belt possible from Gates HD series which is the K081074, is 108" and a bit of a chore to get it on...this is the one that's making the noise but none of the other larger belts made any noise whatsoever. Where would I get an alignment tool, or could I just take it to any shop and have them do it?

Truck's dialed in pretty good, TPIS is working great and giving me about 1 more psi over the 90, just been super busy with work and plus it's been raining here pretty much non stop for the past couple of weeks. I'm undecided if I should take her to the track in a couple of days...just depends on the weather. I'll be making a gopro or two pretty soon! One thing I just noticed yesterday was the belt is squeaking pretty bad so I bought some belt conditioner at O'reilly's which temporarily makes it stop. Kind of wondering if it's the belt size. What belt do you run Rob?

Sent In PCM to Wheatley...what should I expect?
rcapone replied to Afun's topic in Bolt On Performance
I had a Wheatley tune when I first bought my truck - headers, built 60, CAI, plugs, Corsa Sport and it ran really good. The things I didn't like were: he locks the PCM, won't give out his phone number or answer calls and long waiting time, but that's to be expected with any good tuner. -
Look on the brite side, at least the mileage is still low

You will probably run faster IF you get lucky with a cool day. This late in the year, I'm guessing you'll be lucky to see temps below 70. I'm also going by my 14.20 run last year at around 1100' elevation, 48 degree day and a few more mods than what you're listing. ...it's just a guess, so don't be offended by it. Good luck and I hope you run faster!

4l80e conversion!
rcapone replied to Relentless SS's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
PATC does make a conversion kit but I would recommend going the Time2kill route as it is much stronger. -
Bro, those gears are pure awesomeness! I only did one wot pull from a dig so far and it was badass. Make sure you get the 6 pinion low planets from Coan Racing On a different note, I got the TPIS back today and did a very light throttle test run...no codes, so far so good!

Very sweet! I wish I would have done that to mine before they went on...looks awesome! Now all you have to do is get that baby running

Powdercoating Stock Ss Rims -what Color (poll)
rcapone replied to 007bonne's topic in Appearance, Cleaning, & Detailing
Talk about bringing one back from the dead...maybe we should vote too -
The newer trans I used factory 80e lines with factory fittings into the housing. The -6 fittings for the earlier trans were supplied by FLT

Fleet Jason, Fleet, lol. Good lookin truck Shawn - bonus too with those sweet rims; I know there aren't a whole lot of good looking 8 lugs even out there

Wow, that sucks...I had no idea! How long ago was all this? Supposedly, I heard Supersub just got this calibration device from the x-link dude, Grant, not too long ago...6 months ago maybe. The first one I got through Supersub 8 or 9 months ago I know he didn't have the device...he told me this would work when calibrated properly. Anyway, I know the 90 that came off my truck worked before I sent it to them for the core, and I had to buy a brand new ACDelco OEM 90mm off Amazon just so I could get my truck home and drive it while I sort this out with them...Slapped that on yesterday and it works like a charm.
-
I hope so, this is the x-link 4.0 and I think their latest version - it works fine with my LS2 90. In fact, and as mentioned, TPIS took the motor off my LS2 and used it to build theirs. I talked to the guy there, Jackson, who does their assembly and tuning and they don't use Grant's (owner of x-link) calibration device, so I'm guessing that's their problem right there. Yeah, second one. Also, I'm probably not going to make the track Friday now either. Since I'm having the TAP cells reset on my trans, I really don't want to rush the re-learning process it'll need to go through...it's supposed to rain Friday anyway, so maybe it's all for the best. It's just frustrating not being able to get everything to come together for the cool weather.
-
More delays! Just got back from my tech's shop and the TPIS is making it go into limp mode again. I had to order another 90mm off Amazon (which I'll hopefully get within the next day or so) since they used my old 90 as a core to build the TPIS. Anyway, it's getting shipped back tomorrow and also going to ask them to strip off the crappy paint job they did on my 90 motor housing too...not sure why they even did that.

4L80e Pressure drop during 1-2 shift only
rcapone replied to rcapone's topic in AWD, Differential, & Transmission Tech
You'll need the tube for the 80e only - the tube from the 60 won't work on the 80. The stick for the 60 and 80 are the same part number from 2001 and newer
