  1. I ran a magnaflow with the stock exhaust at first. Then I went to the XR1. But I did a whole custom setup with it. If you want to keep the factory pipe how it is, you will be spending about as much to have it modified to fit the Borla as you will have in it for a whole cat back.

And to answer your question on what the difference between the two is. The multi core is for large engines that need to be toned down. The sportsmans are a bit louder.

  2. Truly a piece of craftsmanship.

I know a lot of members here don't know how much of this truck was built by hands, and or modified to what it is now.

I also know a lot of people will not notice the little things that have been done to it unless either pointed out or have followed the build like some of us.

Danny, it's amazing, and hopefully you and Ash get to enjoy it for the rest of your lives together.

  3. I was told you can use Bluetooth as its sync'd with the truck and not associated with onstar directly. I was also told that if you use your smartphone with the onstar remote link app to remote start, lock/unlock your vehicle in the first 10 days that you will still have the option to do the same after the onstar trial is up for a total of 5yrs. I set mine up yesterday and did the remote start and lock/unlock from my phone so I will see if it actually is true.

I looked into catback's and think I am going with AFE. For the price, stainless mandrel bent tubing and muffler, and tip for a little over $400 and a really good sound...

I ordered a bed rug, side steps, and trying to make up my mind on a tonneau cover now. My chrome 22" reps will be on it in the spring!

  4. Well you can do like Danny said, or just follow her home and stand in the bushes in front of her window, and watch her eat. Pretend that your eating with her and observe if she's a pig or if she eats with her mouth open. Then you can make a decision on if you still want to take her on a date!

In all seriousness, be confident and to the point. Ask with a smile and in a relaxed position (like leaning against a wall)

If she says she has a boyfriend tell her that he can come alone and for her to bring some friends. Odds are that she has fat female friends that would be willing to go with her. If that plays out and she does bring a fatty, be all over the friend and impress the "hottie" with your actions to her friend.......... The hottie will be yours!

  5. I like callahan's on ebay. I purchased SSBC brake kit the box said raybestos china on it. The kit was just overpriced with a fancy slot in rotors. Unless you go plus size don't bother on ssbc.

When I got my SSBC big brakes, the package was drop shipped from SSBC and boxed with a mfg date 3 days before I got them and it did have made in the USA on the box.
  6. Drilled and slotted suck. Slotted are much better for street driving. Went through a set of drilled and slotted on a year and found cracks on the rotors. Killed the pads and gouged the rotors too. Now the high end drilled and slotted rotors are a little better as far as the cracking goes since they use a thicker surface and heavy vanes. IMO stick with stock non drilled or slotted or go with slotted only.

  7. I agree. I know a few grads of SAM and they offered the same. They got the practice they needed and others got a good product out of them. The school has a great program and gives the students freedom to contribute to the sport/hobby of others. I have another set of heads I won't be running so I might have him play around with them.

  8. Well not to sound like a butt head but I will guarantee that any ls head you send me will outflow and most important outperform 99% of what's out there. I am very confident about working on cylinder heads and I have no problem signing ppapers. Just out of curiosity poopnewton what valve job and valve angle would you do on a 243 head?

I was going to ask you what angles you guys use for 823's

I had a local shop do mine and curious to see how close they are

  9. Fyi there are videos that have been altered to make the sound of the engine rev closer to when the accident occurred.

I have met Tony a few times at dirt races and never once did I see him without a smile and or making someone else smile. I also know a girl from school that was involved in NASCAR relations who never had anything bad to say about him as a person. He is competitive and when he's not winning he doesn't like to talk about it, but i'd be the same way.

As for Ward, its a terrible time for his family (and Tony).

I do have a motto that I preach to my kids. " For every action there is a equal and opposite reaction" a bad decision has a consequence or the possibility of a consequence.

Its a sad ending for one person to die and Tony and family members have to live with a loss like this.

  10. I actually bought my chrome reps to run for the summer. I blasted and painted the stockers ( pictured) for my winter wheels. I put the black wheels on to see how'd they look and I haven't taken them off since. My chrome reps have been sitting for 2yrs. I did put new tires on since this was taken (275/45r20) and I like how it looks even more with less sidewall.

Also my reps I bought from Craigslist. The guy had them on his SS for one year and drove in the winter with them. The inner barrel on the wheels are flaked to all hell from salt and winter.
