I just installed a Start/Alarm combo. I used the GMDLBP bypass module. I had the same prob but I was installing it after being up for 26hrs straight and I forgot to plug in the module to the RS/Alarm brain. Than when it wouldn't unlock it till I wired in the alarm. My guess is that you have to have the alarm wired up also. Check out www.the12volt.com and search for the viper alarm you have on there. If you don't find out anything post up a ? and you will get answers from pros. BTW with my bypass the door locks are controlled through the OBDII. I think it was pin 5 but don't take my word on that. I just had to splice my bypass to the called for wire and that was it.

After being cuffed and clubbed by a few of them..... Don't know if i'm allowed back yet though... Most were alcohol related and now I don't drink......

Well I just got my cam and most of the stuff for a cam swap so with that comes pushrods, springs, retainers, valve seals, gaskets, balancer bolt, oil pump, timing chain. On the to do list with the swap is powdercoat the brackets, alt, valve covers, timing cover. Also on the To Do List which is already started are to finish up my carbon fiber engine, fuse, battery, air filter, and radiator covers. Maybe do the interior parts also. Install my LED's in the cluster etc, Get some E-Fans and install them. Learn how to tune with my EFI Live. Wideband installed when I get some long tubes. I have to pick up a hood this week that is a stock hood that I am going to modify and when the summer hits my buddy and I are going to re paint the whole truck, and he's going to do something "Special" to the hood and tailgate. Then I will tint the windows, and finish up my sub box and amp rack. I want to re powdercoat the wheels but I don't know if I can pc the center caps on the stock wheels. Long list but it will get done this year!!!!!

There is a R&L trucking place about 20 min away from me. Maybe I will have me a nice new hood.... Actually I am getting a stock hood and modifying it with a custom cowl I came up with. But I will keep my ears and eyes open for a good deal on a new hood in my area incase that is what happened.

Yes that Bracket and the Alt bracket. I am doing a cam swap and Wanted to get the brackets powder coated before hand so I can swap them out when I have them off. PM me some prices and what you have for it if you can. Thanks.

How much for the Alt bracket, ac bracket and valve covers? Also looking for the cruise control switch / wiper / turn signal switch.

I saw that you picked up some injectors. Your going to have a bad machine. Do you have any extra Acc Brackets your wanting to get rid of?

I was driving the speed limit at 55 with 6"+ and 30mph cross winds and drifts on the road with only one back end slide today. Put 240# of sand bags in the rear and can still get it to launch from a stop. Very impressed with the handling of it.

Lucky! My wife has been having problems with me for 2 years and I don't do or say anything wrong. I have told her that I want a divorce cause I can't take this anymore but she keeps putting my son over my head and says I won't see him. Honestly it's all her and she won't work on us so I just do what I have to do everyday to stay sane. If it wasn't for my son I would have been gone right after I put that ring on her finger.......... Wow My wife got me the same box. I didn't tell her I bought a new Matco box from a guy at work that is going to stay at work though. I bought myself a cam, springs, retainers, seals, gaskets, oil pump, timing chain, valve covers, some brackets, a stock hood to be modified, and a remote start alarm combo, and some LED's for my dash light con...... Merry X-mas to myself. I told the wife it was to rebuild the top end cause it has high miles on it and I want it to last. LOL!!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. With the Marine injectors will I still be able to get the tuning values and all that from somewhere? I know I won't need 60# or more in this motor. When I build my next one YEAH I WILL. I just want to have some spare larger injectors on hand when I do my cam swap in case I am maxing out my stockers. I don't want to spend a tom of $ on this motor so I can put the rest of the $ the wife don't know about into another motor and a show car build. She don't know how much money goes into a vehicle. Thanks Mr.P. I will be running a low lift cam with new LS6 springs, and I won't be running her past 6400.

As some might know I am about to do a cam swap. I will be changing my timing chain and oil pump while i'm there. Should I go with a single roller timing chain or get a double roller adjustable TC? As for the oil pump I want to put a LS6 pump in but should I port it or have someone port and shim it? Or is it not needed? Ok so with the 8.1l injectors I will still have to get the flow settings figured out in EFI Live then still? Will I have to use 8.1l wiring harness or adaptors? I found a 8.1l stock wiring harness for pretty cheap and don't know if it will plug into my main injector harness. Can I use the injector settings from a 2500hd with the 8.1l to get my tune settings on them? Thanks everyone. Merry Christmas.

Just bought a set of Thunder Racing 7.4" 5/16" PR's from someone on LS1tech. Brand New in Box. Now I need to get the gasket kit and dampner bolt and i'm good to go. I am buying another set of brackets and valve covers before I install the cam so I can powdercoat them and swap them out when I have everything off. I am thinking Black for the PC but wouldn't mind going with Blue like the truck either. Anyone have any pics of Blue that matches the Arrival Blue on the SS? I don't have any Blue PC chips that I have pc'd so i'm looking for one that will look close to the Arrival.

I just got my cam and i'm looking for some pr's. I know I need hardened 7.400" pr's, but what thickness is everyone running? 5/16" or 3/8" I think i'm going to go with the 5/16 since the cam is a low lift cam, on a 113 centerline. Any help is appreciated. Also does anyone have a part number for the cam swap gasket kit and any other gaskets or bolts I will need for my swap? Also Should I go with a Double roller timing chain or HD single roller timing chain? I know some double rollers need to have clearancing on the timing chain cover.

If you mean that you want it to be controlled by a switch when the ignition is on then you can use any of the ignition power wires connected to a switch and fuse. The two ignition wires are in the above site. You will have to take the lower section of the dash panel off, then there is a metal cover under the steering collum. remove the 4 nuts and you will see a cluster with a grey lever on it. The two wires are in there. There is a white heavy gauge wire from there that goes to the fuse panel that you can trace and pull that from the fuse box and make your connection there.

I was wondering if the stock ls1 valve covers fit on the SSS without any modifications. I thought that the pcv was different but I don't know about the coil mounts and oil fill locations. Anyone used them?

I wish I would have read this yesterday. I installed a remote car starter and alarm in the SS and had the whole dash apart. I can send you some wiring info if that would help.

I have EFI Live so if I had some injectors that already had the files as a stock injector I wouldn't have to do all the settings. That is what I was hoping for atleast. I don't think I will have to put injectors in with the small cam But my last log had my duty cycle at 72% I believe. I think it is running rich to though. I will look into the marine injectors and see what I can find. Thanks.
