  1. my apologies. i missed that one. if you see it again, get a pic of it. that sounds awesome.
  2. 2500 Duramax SS Found this on ebay today. Looks like this guy has put in a lot of time and effort to make this look like a true SS, even down to the cladding. I'm usually hesitant about conversions because many people just slap on some SS badges and call it a day, but this is definitely a one of a kind truck that would be awesome to have. Hats off to the man who built this one
  3. welcome to the site great looking truck!
  4. looks like a good find...love the color. sounds pretty good on the price. hope everything goes through!
  5. best one in the state huh? glad to see another tennessean on the board! let's see some pics!
  6. Wow, long time no post. School has been really busy this semester so I haven't been able to check in very often on here. The semester is over and summer is finally here, thankfully. Now, with a little extra time on my hands, I decided I'd debadge the truck and paint the emblems. I've seen several of the GMC diesel guys with black grill emblems and usually with a debadged tailgate. Since I have a VortecMax, I felt like doing something different and painting all the red on the emblems black. I've finished the grille and tailgate GMC emblems, but haven't started on the vmax ones yet. Removing the emblems and painting them is no problem, but I haven't figured out a good way to put them back on the truck. What would be the best way to reattach the emblems? They still have a lot of the factory glue residue on the back. I've heard double sided tape works well, but I'm not sure how well it'll hold with the glue left on the back. What's my best option? Anyways, it's great to be back on here after a while. Silveradoss.com > College (well, the homework at least) Here are some pics of the progress so far. Sorry for the low res...took these off my BlackBerry.
  7. thinks human rights class is a waste. if other countries didn't just suck, then we wouldn't have to learn about human rights. we don't throw rocks at each other or blow each other up and we make it just fine. america ftw.

  8. looks great...should be lookin raw after the drop nice work and keep us posted
  9. A few months back, I bought 4 new General Grabber UPHs that only have 8,000 miles on them currently. Friday night, I hit a pothole in a parking lot going maybe 5 mph and blew a hole in the sidewall, so it can't be plugged or patched. I went to order a replacement earlier this morning only to find out that no warehouse in the United States has these tires in stock. All the warehouses have them on backorder and I would be 40th in line according to the tire place. I looked around on the internet and couldn't find anybody selling this tire, or even a related 295/50/20. With college about to start back up again in a few weeks and since my truck is my dd, I need to work something out so I am not running the spare. Right now, I think the best (..and cheapest) option for me is to buy a set of these Cragar's for $300 shipped to my house. I have an old set of 245/70/17s that I can throw on there for the time being to get me through until I can get another 295/50/20 to replace the flat. The thing is, I'm not sure if those Cragar's will work or not. First off, is 6 x 5.5 the correct bolt pattern? Secondly, I don't know the correct backspacing and offset. Would these wheels work on my truck? My buddy is willing to sell me his factory rims like these off of his truck for $300 with tires. The tires on his are equally as bad as my set of 245/70/17s. He won't move on the price, so I think that buying the Crager's new (if they fit) for the same price would be a better deal than buying used stockers, but that is an option at least. I could at least have the Crager's for a winter set once i get my other tire replaced. Any input, ideas, or offers would be greatly appreciated
  10. hell yeah...great work guys. the truck looks amazing. awesome job
  11. the wheels look good...but the running boards kill the look imo. mine had them on there when i got it...i took them off and i think it looks a lot cleaner. lose the running boards and drop it slick truck

  20. holy horsepower batman! i had no idea you could get that much power out of an lq9. that's a bad ws6 for sure.
  21. i run 295/50/20 general grabber uhps on my truck at factory height. love the way they perform and they look pretty slick imo. on factory rims, you can run up to a 305 but not any wider. the 295s i have seem to fit just right for my taste and don't balloon out any at all. i don't have any pics because my camera broke, but here's the link to the same tires i have.
  22. 2010 NZ1200-EB Camaro has anybody heard anything about this? i can't find any specifics about the car other than it's supposed to be a 1,200 hp monster with a $149k pricetag. apparently eric berry's personal model is supposed to be done in time for the first game and a limited number of replicas are supposed to be produced for the public. what kind of set up do you think will be going in the camaro if this is for real? when (and if) if this is made, it'll be making nearly double the horsepower of the zr1 vette. here's another link to the article in the knoxville news sentinel
