I noticed that one on there as well. Probably will be one less ISS since I have a hard time believing someone will fix that truck, looks pretty bad.

Congrats! +1 for me!

Looks good! Nice work!

Those will look great, congrats. I just sold my 22" reps I had 305/40/22's mounted on them but never test fit them on my truck. The guy who bought them tested them on his truck and he checked clearance and everything looked good but his wasn't lowered much. Also the 305's looked sweet they fit the rims great just the right width imo.

Looks great! There's nothing like new brakes after having warped ones.

Here's a thread where a guy did the swap and so far according to the thread he has 8,000 miles on his setup. Here's the link for more info: http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/projects-gallery-189/4x4-t56-build-482293/

While plasti-dip might work, if your going to go to the trouble I would just fix it right and get some color match vinyl dye and re spray the dash. Won't be able to tell there was ever a problem with peeling if the match is close!

Looks like an awesome build so far! I've got a LQ9 shortblock I just had all the machine work done to for a 408 rotating assembly. Still need to purchase the rotating assembly. I'll be keeping an eye on your build! Good luck looks great so far...

The Suburban never came in AWD at least in 2004 so if it is a true AWD then it was done by the previous owner.
Supposedly GM made a special edition Suburban in 2006 with AWD and the LQ4 6.0L, but I have never heard anything about and AWD suburban before or after that.
X2 never seen a Suburban with AWD unless its just the Auto 4x4 your referring too.

Definitely should be a sticky!

Wow sounds like you got a great deal! Welcome to the site!

Makes me want to go do some donuts in mine! That should be normal though the front diff is just an open diff.

Welcome to the site! Truck looks good, good job on the conversion.

Double post.

Definetly sounds like the blower motor resistor my friends truck had this problem and I helped him fix it, I think it was under the plastic heating system cover on the passenger side. Should be an easy fix.

Heating element in the seat needs to be changed, common problem.
X2!

Do you drive your's daily? Have you had any of the problems you listed? Thanks for the info!!
Mine is my daily driver! Only problems I listed that I've had was oil cooler lines at around 140,000 when I bought it and the transmission started losing 3rd/4th gear somewhere after 150k. I did both repairs on it myself, replaced the lines and pulled the transmission and installed a replacement with 26,000 miles from the junkyard. Everything else has been fine with the truck except for minor problems here and there.

Thanks for the heads up, figured he wasn't to far off with the price considering it to be so clean/mileage/modifications. Are these trucks pretty bad on gas as well? Any common things that go out or quit working?
Just as a heads up I did run the book on it and it showing high book on nada is only 15,250 but that is definitely a nice truck so maybe its worth a bit more.
Fairy bad on gas I get about 13 in the city if driving normally and I've gotten up to 18 on a long highway trip. The city mileage can really go down if you idle it a lot or drive them hard. A couple common things to looks for are leaking oil cooler lines, transmission problems, front differential noise, gauge cluster stepper motors (was a recall but since expired), and I'm sure there's more but those are some common problems that have been associated with these trucks.

ever replace the EGR valve if its pluged up it could cause oil comspution problems
LOL 03-06 Silverado's don't have EGR valves.
Also I'll add to this definitely check the oil cooler lines I had to replace mine when I bought my truck they leaked pretty bad. Although I do find it somewhat normal to check the oil between oil changes and add some when it reads a bit low.

That looks like a super nice truck one of the cleanest ones I've seen for sale for awhile. Maybe offer a bit less but otherwise I would assume that is a pretty fair price for it due to the lower mileage and overall condition.
SS...your Doing it wrong.
