Check Car-part.com in your area for junkyards. Most of them carry driveshafts from wrecked trucks, I think the rear driveshaft is the same for any 99-06 Extended Cab short bed 4x4 or AWD.

Looks like a great daily driver! I'm sure you will have that thing fixed up in no time!
-
That looks like a super nice spacer. Interested in seeming how it works out for you!
-
That looks like way to nice of a truck to part out! Save the part outs for wrecked trucks like others have said, someone has to want that truck and its a huge hassel to part out and you probably won't get what you want out of it parting it. Good luck!

It's too bright here for fireworks. Lol. 24hour sunlight has its ups and downs.
X2 Lol!

I've got the S3 and I love it, broke my first used one then got a new one on contract. If your going with a S4 get the S4 Active seems like an awesome phone that will be my next.

if you consider putting the trim back on and you do get new ones, i would think about the moldings that came body color instead of the texture black or the gmc sierra ones that are just chrome and have those scuffed and painted body color. i think that would look slick
There you go color match the old trim and re install? That might look kinda cool, good luck with whatever route you decide!

I love classic car shows, that looks like it was a good one!

I would have the doors repainted or put on the trim again.... I would not bedliner the sides it just doesn't seem like a good idea.

That tank looks awesome, as well as the intake pickup! Hopefully those mods help keep your IATs down.

Ya that sounds kinda like a bad flex plate or loose flex plate bolts/torque converter bolts to me... Open up the little inspection cover on the trans bellhousing underneath and check it out the best you can.
-
Thats a good one! Those will definetly get to you quicker than 12 weeks, I know the ones for my 57 "BELAIR" got here in just a couple of weeks. I was thinking of getting some plates for my truck but just not sure on what they would say...

I had to remove the cladding on my drivers door and it had never been removed but the rear part was coming loose so I had to reinstall it. It was surprisingly not dirty just mostly dusty underneath the cladding which really surprised me and reassured me that most of the wetness and dirt never goes between there.

Thanks guys I'm happy with it for sure, today driving around with the Ac on and outside temps around 70 degrees the trans temp never even moved past 140-160 degrees from what I could tell! That is exactly the results I wanted to achieve, normally with the original cooler it would get right to about 200 or more depending.
Lol. Typical Matt. Make us amateurs look bad. I'm just impressed that you took the time to bend the hard lines and flare the ends and all! Very nicely done.
Haha you guys are no amateurs! I definitely wanted hard lines so that I don't get stranded with a blown off hose on my transmission cooler! The lines where easy to connect up with a small pipe cutter and the self flaring fittings I got.

Well yesterday I upgraded my transmission cooler to the B&M 70274 "Supercooler" after finding a thread by dcairns from 2005 when he installed his so I figured I would report my findings! Surprisingly almost 8 years latery they still make the same part number so I purchased it off Amazon.com and bought the fittings required to connect it to the factory lines from the local parker store. It uses 1/2" NPT so I had to convert down to 3/8 swedgelok fittings to connect to the steel lines. I hard plumbed it just as dcairns did as well. As far as mounting it was very simple. I drilled some holes through the factory lower bar and the cooler brackets and used 1" spacer to space it off the angle piece without having to flip the factory lower bar. Then I cutout a aluminum strip and bolted that on for the upper mount again using 1" spacers and 1/4"x1 1/2" bolts and nuts to attach the cooler. Overall a easy install since I gathered all the parts before attempting it, anyways heres the pics!
Original tiny cooler....
New transmission cooler, its 11x11x1 1/2" so its a much much bigger cooler rated at 29,200 BTU
After install
Finished!
Before the install my trans temps easilly where hitting right over the middle mark which is about 200 degrees or so in 65-70 degree weather which seems hot for just regular driving and they would climb with any towing or hard driving.
Now they seem to be much more controlled and stay a a lower level at all times I will report back and edit this once I do some driving today and commute home tonight.

Yeah. Not sure about this one. Badges are F*cked. And not a huge fan of white, but could be really clean.
Agreed and it has 274,000 miles!!!

Yeah. West Campus Drive. Im there from 830-3ish every day. Im running out of things to do here. Haha been out to eat a bunch, went to both malls twice, the movies, tattoo parlors... Wanted some new ink while i was here, but for $900 everyone has been quoting me, ill just wait a little longer. Lol. Not sure what else to do and its only tuesday! Im just chillin at the hotel right now.
Wow that's expensive, guess that's why I'm not into tattoos! LOL If your into old cars at all stop by the Sears Mall from 6-6:45pm on Thursday corner of New Seward and Northern Lights there is usually a small gathering of cars then they cruise somewhere to eat. I'll be there in my 69 C10, should be easy to spot, say hi if you'd like!

Thats really cool they have an AWD dyno minus the part about not knowing how to use it! Hahaha I was just at a UAA a bit ago, I've got class from 11:30-1:30 ish there, where is your class at UAA? Automotive building probably?

Here's some pics of when I upgraded to the NNBS front brakes, not red but you get the idea...

For just a tad more you could probably find a real AWD 2003-2004 SS needing a bit of TLC, 06 Intimidator is going to be much harder to find I would assume but doable.
-
Wow that was a quick trans drop! Wish I had a lift to use, I did mine on the garage floor and it was a PITA even though I knew what I was doing... LOL
-
I bought my 2003 SS out of California in 2009 and its totally stock and has only two cats. I bought the truck from the original owner who bought it new in Cali so I would say you are 100% good to go with two.
-
Those pics look awesome! That sucks that your trans went out that is always the worst feeling, hopefully its an easy repair and it'll be back on the road soon!
-
Wow that is very impressive! Your truck looks amazing, the paint looks better than new!

Dang that sucks! Can you get a welder in there and do the old weld on a nut trick to the broken off bolt end and get it out? I hate the factory manifold bolts seems like they always break in the worst spots! Good luck and hopefully you don't have to pull the head.
