Great picture and a good looking cluster Silverado777. Is it possible to lower the intensity of the high beam indicator light, by resistance or a lower power bulb? I have at least one bulb out on my cluster, so I'll be in touch sooner or later. Can't go for the chrome rings on the "fix my gauges" set. I kinda like the higher RPM's and speed, but probably won't ever need them, myself.

Have Been A Member For Awhile Now

Hey Brian. Welcome to the site. Enjoy your stay. -
Thanks for your attention to, and efforts to improve, this site Zippy. I hope folks will take your hint to post what they know about as opposed to passing on second hand info. As it is it takes a while to learn who on here knows what their talking about and who the wannabees are. I've been here longer than my meager post count would indicate because I believe that a guy can learn a lot more, sometimes, by keeping his mouth shut. It would be nice to see a revised search tool. I've spent many evenings reading through search results that have little or nothing to do with my original search parameters. On the other hand, some of that time was spent due to getting side tracked following up on unrelated info found in my searches. Something similar to 03Mass' thought about simple upgrades; How about a "Proven upgrades" section? How about allowing moderators to wave the on the more blatantly false info posts? Thanks again for all you do here Zip !

Welcome home Mac. Thanks for your service. I'll bet the truck felt brand new again. Good luck with your projects. I look forward to pics.

I prefer the cowl hood, too, but the ram ain't bad. The roll pan doesn't tempt me to toss my bumper. That's a sweet looking truck you've got there. -
Oh Man, That is a sweet looking ride. Congratulations!
-
I'm relieved to hear that you're joking. It's 4 door, the color SUCKS, and like Sweet said, the hood latch is busted.

Watch Who You Sell To From Your Home

Man! I hate a sorry no account thief. Sorry you're going through this, Fogger. Been hit by them a couple times. I am hoping that the cops get a break and catch this scumbag. -
Zippy,
I figure that youv'e caught it already, but I made a mistake in my list of spec's and mods.
The transmission is a 4L60 not the 65.
Hope I haven't caused you any trouble with the screw up.
John

Great to hear a happy ending to what is usually a nightmare. Got to be frustrating that the cops aren't concerned about finding the scumbag's.

Prayers sent, Emo. Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

Sure sorry to hear that your still fighting pain. Hope the new doc. can get it figured out. Way to go on getting the ins. co. to help you out. So much for lawyers, Eh? -
Thanks, Lefty. Great info to have.
-
Wouldn't you love to have a baseball bat in your hands when you saw some jackass doing that? Hope you get the ins. co. to pay big, and then drop em.
-
Gotcha. Looks like fun.

Welcome, GoFast. What all will the resto take?
-
Welcome to the site. Sounds like the SS will be right at home in your garage.
-
The hood looks pretty good. Are you happy with the fit and quality? Pretty work on the shifter.
-
I like the headlights. Thanks for the link.

That's gonna leave a mark! What's your weapon?

Amen, Brother. Had an Uncle who drove his entire working life. Different world back then. I don't know how you over the road guys make it work. Lining up return loads must be really critical, these days. I was gassing up the truck a few months back and the guy at the next pump was filling his tractor. He had started before I got there and I saw his pump go past $475.00 as I was leaving and he was still pumping. Got my attention, for sure.

I put a Volant dry element CAI on her in Jan. Have a 160* thermo on order and have been in touch with Zippy about a tune. Not sure how the budget will fair through the year but i would like to replace the windshield, add a cat back, shift kit and servo, and electric fan kit is on the list at some point. Looks like gas prices might spoil some of the fun. Edited to add; Forgot to mention that it's time for a Transfer case chain and the pump upgrade. That one is high on the list.
