  1. Very nice truck to add to the list. Just remember to keep those stock rims for the winter.

Damn that tranny and TC is clean! Now we just need to raise the golf carts...
  3. Lovely truck, that doughnut video may never be replicated
  4. Was driving past the main gate at Devens in Ayer (formerly Ft. Devens) and spotted a Black Onyx 03-04 SSS going west on 2A. Vehicle had black 22" rims with chrome lip, and otherwise looked stock. Was not in my SSS, but clearly waived to you.
  5. I use to play soccer at Szot Park and the Smitth and Wesson field in Springfield. My buddy sold a blue 2004 SSS the day after I bought my black 03, and the Arrival Blue in 2004 were the most rare (just over a 1000 made I believe)! For my loss but still I am happy with the truck, plus I got some funny looking antenna and strobe lights out of mine! As far as the other truck he was silver birch originally, do not know how far the paint process went, he was going to have his plow custom painted with SS graphics....have not heard from him awhile though.
  6. Welcome to the site from another Mass member. Their is a member out in the Chicopee area that has a supercharger and two toned paint on his SSS (you most likely know of his pizza shop's). Ive only seen two Arrival Blue SS' in Mass, congrats on having the rare color!
  7. Great info on the tbss vs l92 intake. I was actually wondering what the differences were and they pointed out nicely (like the 87mm vs 90mm, which is more $$, minimal difference in gains). This is something I would like to do and you guys have helped me with an answer.
  8. Belltech or DJM swaybars (if you plan on doing a Corsa exhaust DJM rear sways will not work). I prefer the Bilstein shocks, had them on my BMW and cornered amazingly. Bilsteins are made for stock height, and can also be used on 2/2 drop (just makes the suspension more tight).

    My Super Slow SS

I had Billy Boat on my BMW, that is why I recommend their products. Reason why only 3 members have the system is most likely due to price, their more expensive than Corsa. I can deal with a customer service rep that is busy all day and does not have time to answer simple questions like I had. Jesse if you are interested I believe your Ford HD edition will also fit. Edit - Bizo, I would like to personally apologize for this thread hijack that has happened. I never thought a moderator would act so childish.
  10. Lift the truck, and you will be much more happy than buying a Z-71 package. I have driven both packages from 05-09 and I would lift the SS over a Z-71 any day (just my personal opinon). People may hate me for it, but if done right the truck is unstoppable lifted. Any direction you choose to go, I hope things work out for the best and your a happy truck owner!

Sorry I do not get into pissing matches, I am surprised to see you stoop down so low with these comments as you are a moderator. If you want a dyno tune, you can PM me. We need a couple trucks to do this. I will not let the name of the shop out, however their is another MA member that knows of this place so I am not the only one (say what you think). You must have missed the thread. I am done with this childish behavior. I am not here to make believers but offer info I have that others do not. If you do not like what I have to say, do not reply. That should be the rule of a moderator. Bizo, I would supply the cat back/muffler you choose to Lou's. Look into Billy Boat, unique aggressive sound with great performance. Customer service may not be the best, but the product is well worth it. Good luck to the tune and system!

It's not Don who has the dyno that fit's our trucks, he would simply be the tuner. Your reading way too far into this (example number 1. thinking its Don who has the dyno that fits our trucks, every MA member knows this). This is why I do not like sharing info, certain members just cast doubt and negativity. And as far as my truck having no chance getting their, oh well. Bizo on mufflers I would go with Magnaflow, Borla, Gibson. Complete systems Corsa or Billy Boat (B&B has true dual exhaust systems, quality is 2nd to none).
  13. I hear ya man, I dont even drive it in the rain or winter and my trailer hitch is barely used, but is showing rust. Thank goodness its only that so far.

You both can go free Otto and call shenanigans, then i will release the details The name of the shop has been mentioned here on a thread about a MA members build, Im surprised you both didn't catch it. I will only release the name if we can get a group down their to dyno our trucks with Don. If your both in, we can talk
  15. missing items: ladder racks like stated, and the chrome rims? edit - is that Onyx black GearMup's old truck?
  16. I will be ordering a mail order tune also from him once I get my basic bolt-ons this fall. John simply is the nicest person, cares for his customers needs, has extreme knowledge with these trucks, and so much more I cannot even put into words. He is the reason I joined this site in 2008, even though I purchased my truck in 2005. John, your the man. I look forward to business with you soon wether its for a tune, fuel filter or ordering a Corsa (unless the other cat back doesn't happen that you know about).
  17. Do the services after the trip as proper break in to the syn fluids is vital IMO. "Do not drive the truck fast, do not drive it hard" for a week or two are the exact words after I had a complete liquids and filter swap at 51k. Luckily I had back roads I could go 25-35mph rather than taking the highway at 50-65mph. This is just my opinion from previous services. Hopefully someone else can chime in and be more thorough. Things I would do before the trip would be fuel filter, new air intake filter, and add a bottle of Lucas fuel treatment.
  18. If the lady admits she cannot "control" her cats, Bad Ass Silvy has the answer. Any true animal lover or good owner can control their animals, unless they are outside cats. I could ship you a honey badger that wiped out the cats where I live, just have to get it in the "have a heart trap"
  19. Very very nice. I love the silver birch/black combo. The tonneau cover and brake lights bring it together unlike any other SB/Black combo I have yet to see! Is that a Pace Edwards rollback tonneau cover? Now get to work on the Onyx Black

^^^Thank you again man. And yes it was applied by hand. I sent you a PM just as you replied here, sorry to bug you.
  23. If you want to stoop down to this guys level, go buy a crotch rocket and blow that vettes doors off. Im guessing that is about half the weight of a vette right? Or right around their, add some nitrous to it, end of story. He may have to get a go kart next!
