  1. Alan is great, very nice member that is true and honest. I also just switched to Amsoil sig series and absolutely love it. I would buy from you Levi but I am lucky enough to have an Amsoil dealer in town :chevy:

You guys that do not live in the snow need to move up north more, your missing out on the record amount of snow were getting. We even get to ride the snowmobiles on the interstate. My buddy just showed me his dragging sled, 50k engine on a 5k sled lol. And I thought my triple piped Mach Z was something...

  2. It cannot hurt to add the airbags, I know I would add for piece of mind/extra strength if I was towing anything. What shocks are on the truck now, factories? May want to switch to Bilsteins. You just do not want to get that Pre-Runner stance! May want to add some anti swaybars also. Good luck with beefing up for towing.

Im not sure if youre trying to say "stock they are lowered 2 inches".

If so, then that's a myth that ppl have been saying for a long time.

These trucks are the same height as a regular Silverado, the fact is these trucks sit on a 4wd chassis, and are about a couple inches lower than the HD trucks. Dont get it mistaken..

Someone correct me if im wrong.

Read up on the z60 suspension and the differences between a z71 and SSS. The Intimidator model is even lower, came with different shocks etc.

The difference with the SS stock suspension is that it does not have the Z71 lift blocks like most of the other 4WD Silverado's out there, that is the most substantial difference that I know of.

  3. I use to race awd BMW's in the snow, Bridgestone Blizzaks are the only option I would choose for a snow tire. These trucks have some weight so slow and steady does it fine with the Eagle Ls2's (with my luck). Give it some throttle and you can be sideways in a heartbeat. I would recomend some other rims (steels are fine) and throw some Blizzaks on them if you want no worries in the snow.

  4. My stock bumper doesnt do it anymore, interested but would need info on the studs before any decisions. 99% stock under the hood and undrilled frame. Not willing to sacrifice unless for the right price. There was someone else thinking of doing them. Just curious on price and those studs. Please provide pics when you get the first pan. Thank you :chevy:

  5. What does any of that have to do with the truck. Look at the vin.

Chris good luck on your finds. I hope the "fog lights" don't stand in your way. Coming from the mayor of sss

Obviously you dont get it. Read the ad, then re-read what I said. Get back to me if you can figure out what I am saying.

Find your Ford Harley page yet or have to stay here?

  6. Was coming back from a drs and saw another Onyx Black SS at a Shell service station. Pulled up and talked to the owner. Very nice person, I told him about the site. All stock truck besides his black bowtie. If anyone in New England is interested in a SS I believe he is in the market for sale. He loves the truck and it looks great.

  7. Call and ask them if it has fog lights, make sure they do not have to actually go look at the truck to answer the question. If they know the answer they know the truck and my guess would be they are honest. If they have to look at the truck to see if fogs are included (like stated) I would be a little careful as they should know these trucks with the statements they are making like it "breathes better than a bear." Also if someone checks out the truck for you, my first spot to check is always underneath the drivers seat.

Good luck getting back into a SSS man.

  8. Gents, I was in remission till last week. Am having another surgery this coming thursday. Just like Alan said we have not done this yet.

Alan has my cell, Mark and Paul please contact Alan and we will get this meet together regardless of my surgery. I just may not be driving and have a driver (I may ride shotgun)

For questions Alan is just as good as I am to answer, I am unable to come onto the site as much as I once could, but still text Alan and stay in touch. Mark and Paul please feel free to PM me and we can swap numbers as it is easier to coordinate a meet.

PS Mark I am in Framingham all the time for my dermo, we should meet sometime for lunch at BBC or any other spots nearby.

  9. All of which will work. But if they truly want your truck, it'll be gone. Or destroyed where it sits. I say cut the fuel supply via relay on the power lead.

Well said, if they want the truck enough they will take it.

I am interested in your security Fast4popper. An elderly couple from upstate NY with a Cyclone had some interesting things on their truck. Don't want to get into details but down the line I will need to be in touch.
