  1. Bob, I had mine in storage for a while and I added a big open bag of baking soda to keep the interior smelling decent. I still get the new fresh car compliment when someone new sits in the truck (I know it does not smell new, but I can thank the Baking Soda for helping it stay fresh and not a stale scent). I pulled everything out of the interior and cleaned it, then just left the mats to the side in a closet. Also loaded up on dryer sheets, mothballs, peanut butter and mouse traps to keep any critter away. My truck use to sit every winter but this year is a bit different.

  2. Simply put I want a get together fot the New England members who Drive a Silverado Super Sport.

I was thinking the time frame could be from the 26th-31st of December as most people will be around home (if there is more interest we could due it before the holidays beginning on the 1st of December). If members are busy and we cannot get it together, we can always go for January. Just looking for a nice time to get to know some of you. I know I will be having a spring thaw meet but want to see our hearty trucks in the winter.

So I am here asking New England Silverado Super Sport owners what days are good for you. The meet would be in central MA so it is somewhat centralized so we can get members from NH, VT, ME, RI, CT and MA.

There are no specific plans. Meet up in central MA (I have the details but will release them when interest is there), have some food, drive around the area and enhoy each others company/trucks.

So let the shenanigans begin! Throw some dates which you are around to meet and lets try to make this happen.

Thank you all, I hope to see you soon :chevy:

  3. I will never sell this truck. I was on deaths door last year and made every effort not to sell the truck. The new Denalis are nice, faster than my SS but is not the same truck. I like the new Denali's, no complaints.

Im sorry but to say a certain moderator that closes a get together thread (mine) then opens it up to invite a member to another meet (LVD) is classless. He then closes it again because it was going knowhere, seriously? Sorry people do not want pictures of their Bel Air and Chevelle viral, if that is an issue than maybe we need to revisit the get together section and say picutres are necessary to post.

I do believe if someone sells their SSS they should not be allowed to moderate. It shows they have turned the tide, and gone a different route and that the Silverado SS is not of interest anymore.

  4. Where are the pics?! Did this gtg happen yet?!

    :blahblah:

If it did, am i required to post pictures? When I met you did we take any pictures? No we did not.

It was nice seeing a Bel Air and Chevelle next to my truck :coold:

You do not own a Silverado SS, please do not post in a get together for Silverado Super Sports. I believe Ford has a forum or something for your Harley edition. It is very clear you just want to stir trouble. I do not have time for the headaches you cause as I am battling cancer.

  5. Seen this also today. My girlfriend just bought an avalanche so I decided to check out their forum to see what I can do to make it look kinda decent and seen this

Drove by a white Avalanche about a month ago and it had SS badges in all spots the real truck has them, except he had a huge decal on his rear windshield. I had to drive by him and when he saw a real SSS he ducked in his truck

  6. Never been pulled over once for having my VIN covered since the day I bought it. Yes it sat for a couple years but I pass cops all the time, they could care less because tow truck drivers monitor where cars are driven in the state. If my truck was in a shady area where chop shops are, then I could see them having reason to pull me over. Technology is beyond the point of needing to pull people over just to take a look unless the cop wants to harass.

As far as the crime ring, these werent fast and furios type ricers. The cars I am talking about are over 200k but they caught some vettes in the scheme.

  7.

Your crazy dude!! I wouldn't be flashing my whole VIN# out there on the ol "WWW".

Just my 2 cents though, and it won't even buy you a cup of coffee these days. :dunno:

^^I have to agree highly with this statement. With you haveing a rare truck for NZ thieves will be on the lookout for your VIN so they can "replicate" your truck and try to make some money off a ecsb silverado with SS badges slapped on. It was an issue in New England with exotics a few years back. My dealership even covers up my VIN on my windshield. I know you can get the VIN in numerous other areas but its just a little bit of security we all need to take as we all love our vehicles Mark. Please do not take my post as a bash, just trying to help out. I hope everything works out so you can be driving that truck asap!

  8. Very nice pictures so far. I may be able to send pictures of mine next to a 2013 60th anniversary vette and 2014 Camaro ZL1 if the service mgr can mail them to me from his phone directly. One pic I might enter if I can get the original (it is pixelated through my phone but it was taken with a brand new Iphone). I have a few pictures next to a Rally edition and numerous base model vettes.

  9. Did you try it in tow haul mode? Curious to see how the times would be compared to the regular drive mode. I agree those times are great for hotlapping. Have a tonneau cover on the truck?
