i saw a white set on a "whited out" GMT-900 tahoe the other day it looked pretty good

all was about the same with alot less fuel the 9.6 was almost full the 9.8 was at about a 1/4 take. the temp was pretty close but i did have a tow hook in my trailer hitch so maybe that was just catching the slow. i got all excited when i pulled in and saw the 2 hemi ram trucks there one ran 9.2's the other ran 9.7's. worst of all i got beat by a friggen HONDA that alone makes me wanna sell my truck or blow it up.

i have a flowmaster with out the flowmaster name on it. its a DIDO that must be to small for the truck i said i wanted flow they must have thought the truck had a 4.8L in it. i have 2 of the "same" mufflers on my 1988 K2500 and they sound just like a flowmaster you can even see where the baffles are welded into it just like a flowmaster. wonder if i could go back and get it re done because it does not do what i asked for. i guess thats what i get for trying to be cheap and not spending $800 on a corsa exhaust. if thats what it comes down to ill put my stock stuff back on (glad i kept it).

so last week i got my exhaust changed from muffler back. the shop put on a muffler they called a mellow tone and said it would flow like a flowmaster but have a quieter more mellow tone. well it deff has a nice mellow tone and i think it sounds good but it does not flow worth crap!!! with the stock muffler my truck ran 9.69 in the 1/8th mile every pass. went to the track tonight and now its down to 9.8 with no other changes to the truck. so im pretty ticked off i told the exhaust shop i wanted a good flowing exhaust and i get crappy flow. so im screwing a block of wood under the gas pedal and the truck wont be raced anymore.

4.10's are fine thats what the SSS's come with stock right?

sweet looking car you have any idea what div he is in? i have a buddy that is in div 2 he runs B/SA in his 69 camaro SS with a big block 396 in it.

nice truck im a chevy guy but all i gotta say is cummins FIW any day. almost had a 98 2500 eclb 4x4 5 speed stick and cummins for $3500 but lost the deal

i havent cleaned my SSS TB yet but when i did the one on my maxima i took it off and sprayed it down with the B12 and it could feel a big diffrernce in the way the car ran. i also sprayed a little in the intake and used a small round brush to clean inside.

doesnt the fluid from the trans flow into and out of te t-case as well or are they separate?

So I was at the exhaust shop getting an exhaust put on my truck today and walked up under it while on the lift. That is when I found a few rather odd leaks on my t-case. I've never seen oil leak through solid metal so I snapped a pic of it with my phone to post up here. in the pis is just one of the "leaks" but their are a few others next to it. None of whitch are around any seals or shafts or bolts or anything like that they are all on the side of the case that should not be leaking right? See pic and do tell what you think might have caused this. PS: the truck does not leak anything from anywhere but a little dampness on the front diff out put.

I'm looking at the garmin 265WT has anyone had any exp with this unit? The guy at best buy seemed to like the 1300T but the bed reviews are a big turn off. Everything Ive read on the 265WT seem to be right up my ally.

My mom and dad are drive OTR and they took our boston terror with them on the truck. The 3 of them have been trucking for about 3 years now. buster (the dog) has been in bad health for the last year or so he had a enlarged heart and a heart murmer. We got him when he was about 2-3 years old and he died at about 15 years old. my dad gave him a bath like he had done so many times and after the bath he was feelen good and runnen around then he jumped up on the bed next to my mom and fell over dead. worst part about it is they were in los vagas taking a short down time and we live in florida. this is the first time in 23 years that ive ever heard my dad cry so their taking it pretty hard and being away from home just makes it worse.

I have a old garmin nuvi 350 hand held GPS unit that I'm looking to up grade. The guy at best buy last night seemed to like the nuvi 1300T but I've found several bad reviews on it. I'm looking to stay in the $150-200 range what do you have and how do you like it? How would you rate what you have can you give a short little review on what you have?

you will like those headers we have the same brand headers on my girls bonneville SSEi and so far so good no leaks. We also had to get 2 band clamps we out ours from NAPA for about $7-8 each.

ya I got my 03 SSS for $15,594 out the door thats including TTT. I have the didg A/C and it sux any one wanna trade for manual unit? the temp control knob on the pass side is screwy you have to turn it super slow to get it to move with it jumping up or down as much as 8* per "click".

I sprayed the front rotors on my old lincoln with them on . I just used the 1500* header paint and they looked good until I sold the car about 3 years later. Make sure you clean then really good I used aircraft stripper to make sure they were clean then some purple power to make sure the paint stripper was all off then hose them down with water for a few mins to be sure. On the front of my car I did not even mask anything off if you get any paint on the rotor the pads will wipe it off with in a few miles. Remember prep work is 85% of a good paint job so take your time and do it right if its not super clean the paint will flake right off and look like crap.

not trying to thread jack here and this is a question to all. If you had a 03, 04, 05, and a 06 SSS setting in front of you all full option trucks and they all had the same mileage and price tag what one would you pick and why? what options do you wish you had on your truck that you dont?

any more input on this? I think I heard on here somewhere that the stock pipe size is 2.75 so thats why I'm torn between the 2 sizes the shops here don't stock 2.75" pipe or mufflers so I either have to go up or down a size. Can I save a little money by going with the 2.5" stuff or should I spend the extra and get the 3"?

how about replacing the cats with a resonator? would that get or the rasp or at least tone it down at all?

Ok so I've heard on here that you can turn off the auto head lights by holding a button on the dash. It does not seem to work for me maybe my truck is to old its a 03? I also just found out about my power folding mirrors! Are their any other hidden or semi hidden tricks to these trucks like that? sorta like most done know about the completive driving mode in a lot of the vettes. what other little "easter eggs" did GM hide in the SSS's? Post what year you have and what tricks work for you.
