nice truck but sale the K&N intake don't even bother putting it on and buy a AEM brute force intake you will thank your self.

nice camaro and i love the wheels on it only question i have is why a 4.8 and not a 5.7 LS1? is it just because it was already built in your truck or something else?

I always like to have my truck in 4wd when I back into a boat ramp just in case its slick. I know some of those boat ramps can get slick as pig sh*t and my tow rig is 4 speed stick so im always in 4lo I know its bad on parts to use 4wd in pavement but I would rather replace an axle than a truck.

this guy let his wife back the trailer into the lake and as you will see in the video the after math will prove to be costly.

I just noticed that the TBSS has holes in the grill bar between the head lights. I know the head mights are different from the SSS lights but will the TBSS lights/grill fit on the SSS? Next question is I have a 03 SSS so will the 03 escalade tail lights fit in my truck? I like the escalade tails for the smooth look and for the factory LEDs. I don't really like the 2 round deals that poke out of the side on the stock lights and I think i can find a set of caddy tails in a junk yard cheaper then the LED ones for my truck on e-bay.

a little off topic here i noticed in your pics that the TBSS has holes in the cross bar of the grill between the upper and lower head lights? are those stock? if so what are they for or is it just to set the TB grill apart from the SSS grill? sorry to jump off topic but i have never seen those holes there before.

cant wait to get a shift kit and a tune to i can get rid of this TM. i raced a stang last night and it was pretty even until the truck hit 2nd gear and the TM kicked in and he pulled out on me.

im in lakeland florida witch is about half way between tampa and orlando. I was running at the lakeland drag strip its just a little out law track that was built in the 70's as a 1/4 mile then the big end got sold so now its only an 1/8th mile.

do that then if you still want more power piece together a turbo kit for about another $1500-2000 and be wicked fast.

It was s super slow night with a total of about 5-6 cars and about 4 bikes. It was kinda a rainy day and had been over cast all day so I'm sure that drove most people away from the track. I got in a total of 6 runs 3 were 9.96 at 75 mph my best was 9.597 at 75.22 mph with a 2.169 60'. The 9.5 run loaded up to 2K rpm on the line. I tried different launches and they did not seem to affect the run that much me best 60' was a 2.169 I got one on the 2k launch and another 2.169 with a idle launch. All of these runs were full weight with the spare and tail gate still on and about 3/4 tank of gas the truck is also bone stock right now. Stock clutch fan, stock exhaust, stock air box with paper filter so how do yal think I did with a completely stock truck and my first time at the track with this truck? BTW: This truck has a crappy reaction time with the DBW set up. I would floor it and almost had enough time to say WTF before the truck even moved. Its going to take some getting used to, to get it right but I think once I get my R/T down its going to be an awesome bracket truck with 4 out of my 6 runs being 9.96 I would say thats pretty consistent.

My buddy gets vettes, 350Z's, and mustangs all the time in his GEO that he proceeds to spank he pulls up to a light and they pull up and rev he takes in kinda easy in 1st gear then hits 2nd gear and lets her rip he spikes about 15 psi and smokes the tires as hes passing them its funny as hell to watch. His new motor will be a 1.6L and will be good for about 26 psi on slicks it should be in the 12's. BTW hes spanking vettes with a bone stock 1.3L 4 cly with a turbo that only put down 158 hp to the wheels.

The track is great but stop light races make getting from point A to point B more fun. Ive even pulled up to a light next to guys that I just watched race and they wont go with me there. I am 22 (will be 23 on the 24th WOOT) and I look about 16 the only guy I had attempt was a VW R32 in heavy traffic pulled up next to and gave me the ricer stair and proceeded to weave in and out of traffic so i guess I lost that race? I WILL NOT race in heavy traffic and I don't like doing it in light traffic unless the guy is being a total douche bag but I will not weave in and out of traffic to race some one the margin for error there is just to small. Ive been driving now for 7 years and have yet to be in even a small wreck (knock on wood) I might do some dumb stuff but I do it as safe as I can if that makes any since. I have been street racing for about 6 years now and 90% of my races have been on back roads with no other traffic on on the interstate at like 1am or later so cut down on traffic. I guess I consider my self lucky but I have yet to be busted for racing I have been ran off from race spots countless times but have not gotten a ticket. There are ways not to get caught but you just have to be smart about it I'm not a ricer and I don't do ricer stuff ricers are the dumb shits that get people killed.

i have caught bunches of stangs and camaros at lights and no one wants to race me. I think everyone thinks that most of the SSS's and TBSS's have blowers from the factory. Im guessing they are biasing that on the cobalt SS and some of the montie carlo SS's that do come blown. Ive had the truck a little less than a month and so far my only races are my G/F's bonneville SSEi and a honda delslow from a roll. The bonneville was on a crappy tune but i pulled her by 3 cars out of the hole and i let off at 90 mph and her front bumper was at my rear bumper. If she had the built trans in and sticky tires she would have had me hard. My truck is bone stock her bonnie has a 3.3" blower pulley (stock is 3.8"), tune by me, headers (that she put on her self), 3" exhaust back to 2 2.5" flowmasters, LS1 MAF and soon to have a LS1 TB and a FWI. i have talked crap to a lot of the ricers at the local weekend car meets and no bites yet. one guy i knew he has a focus thats pretty decent its a ZX3 with the SVT top end and body kit. any one else have this prob? if so how did you fix it?

Seems to be a pretty bad ass truck I like that you can lock the rear diff in 2wd and I like the off road mode. All I have to say is when will chevy step up to compete?

prob just a concept on the newer body style. The blower looks funny with such a short snout on it but I bet the bearings are thanking who ever made it that way.

I have a buddy that is putting a mild built LS1 in his S10 he is using the complete corvette front drive set up. He cant use the truck intake because it is to tall the way he put the motor in so he had to use a car intake and the truck front drive puts the belt right in front of the TB.

My buddy has a 55 that has the stock straight 8 in it that hes looking to get rid of if you know anyone interested. as far as i know its complete except the chrome on the sides and rusty floors. its been setting for at least 5-6 years under a car port but it ran when it was parked it needs a front seal in the trans as it is it used about 1 qt of trans fluid about every 6 feet it moves.
