  1. Hope everyone doesn't mind if a GMC owner joins. My NBS sierra VMAX is fun to drive. 6.0 4 speed, 3.73 SLT, 20" factory rims. No mods yet but I want a blackberry tune to get rid of the TM and speed limiter.

    2. that is a vent/air sampler for the automatic climate control,

     

    The mic for the onstar is next to the overhead console on the drivers side

     

    well i think my onstar was hooked up wrong at the body shop then cause my onstar comes out of the passenger side. sounds like the tweeter on the pillar but i dont see how thats possible. idk

  4. If the current PCM is locked by a past tuner, he will not be able to get in. AFAIK, Charlie Wheatley is the only tuner that locks his tunes, good chance it is one of his......

     

    he said he was gonna try it again using his bench top harness. but idk we will see i guess all my TM was removed but thats all that was done to it nothing else. so he was thinking handheld tuner.

  5. i went to get my truck PCM tuned from a local guy with the HP tuners setup. and he went to go flash my pcm with the new tune and my truck wouldnt let him by. he said i might have a tune on it from the previous owner that i didnt know.so the minor tune was blocking him

  6. I totaled my 04 SSS yesturday and I'm going to see what the insurance company wants to buy it back. The right front is hit hard but the right side and from th cab back is still good. It has a factory navigation unit, speedster tonneau cover and all the cladding. I may buy it and sell it as is on E-Bay. The transfer case was new when I put it on the road in 06. We'll see what happens next week.

     

    and sorry to hear about your wreck it sucks hope your all good. i wasnt wearing a seatbelt :banghead: but i always wear it now you never know.

  7. I'll know in a few days whats going on. I got cought up in some slush during the storm Thursday in Upstate NY and hit the end of a guard rail going about 50 mph. I didn't get hurt but the right front got wacked pretty good. Insurance says about $14000 damage. Other than the right front the rest of the truck is great. The tonneau cover is a speedstur with a silver SS stripe and the tail gate has a shaved handle.

     

    i did 15k damage to my 06 vmax and they fixed it under insurance. it doesnt drive the same now. i dont think it ever will. but thankfully its 4wd and FULLY loaded. and it helped on my value.

  8. So do you get any codes if the ride control plug isn't plugged into the shock?

     

    for monroe sensitrac shocks that are compatible with the adjustments are 230 from kragen. my dad is trying to find them for cheaper. its wierd how those work. there are tons of little metal particles in the shock oil. then when you push the button a magnetic charge goes through the shock oil and gathers particles and attracts them to the valves and restricks the flow of oil through the valving. causing a stiffer ride.

  9. I believe the M70 option code is the 4l70e from what I've read on google.

     

    thats what im hopeing i just went outside to see what rear end i have and i have the 14 bolt 4.10 gear rear end.

    i typed my VIN into a website and this is what they gave me as my engine package. i dont know what the M70 transmition is, but hopefully its the 4L70E. but it could be the 4L65E. thats why im on here haha :driving:

  11. i got a 06 silverado vortecMAX back in july of 09. i payed 24k OTD. the truck had 36,360mi on it. it has leather, sunroof, BOSE, crew cab, 4wd, onstar, XM, rear factory entertainment system, skid plates from front diff to transmission,and so on fully loaded. was that a good buy? and how would i find out my transmission? if i have 4L60E or 4L65E or hopefully what i have 4L70E.
