  1. Your trans will need to be beefed up with a shift kit, servos, accumulator pistons, larger cooler, and stall for the blower. The LQ9 lower half is veeery strong, there are members here that have run mid 11 second quarter miles on the stock lower half, 250 shot of nitrous, superchargers, etc.

Yes and no to both, if you can find a decent used Radix for $3000, that is one route you can go, but if the history of the blower is sketchy, then it would be wise to send it to Magnacharger for an overhaul, which is another $1000. You can get a new intercooled 112 Radix for between $4000-$5000 if you do your homework and shop around. Plan on adding headers to the list as exhaust flow will be critical, you need to get the exhaust moving out and flowing.......figure $500-$1500 depending on what you choose. Transmission, you will need a larger cooler, shift kit, accumulator pistons, and servos at the very least, so add around $250-$300 for that. The next is optional, but is somewhat of a recommendation to get the most from your blower.......a stall. Figure a quality torque converter is gonna run somewhere between $600-$1000. If you also add up all the little miscelaneous items that go into building a truck up in this manner, it is very easy to reach that $8000 mark.....

yes thats what i meant by 8k. is everything along with the maggy. trans upgrades, coolers, shift kit, stall, everything to insure my truck wont break after i install it all. i want it to last.

  2. lol $1700 wont buy you the parts to do either. seriously though if you are worried about the truck keeping its daily drivability charactristics, then you will want to go the blower route. Its like stock until you put the pedal on the floor.

damn i was hoping it would. but i guess ill just keep saving and do the right thing thats best for my driving. im still young have plenty of time but i just want everything now. im impatient. its prob bout 8k to get a good radix, to make it reliable. i dont know much when it comes to that. peelout.gifcheers.giftongue.gif

  3. Radix w/3.0 pulley, headers, stall, shift kit

    -or-

moderate street cam/rods/springs/injectors, headers, stall, shift kit

i think ill go the second route. its a bit cheaper and its my DD so i dont want to lose my drivability. and MPG. what are the best bang for the buck on parts? i dont want to go much more than $1700.

  4. hahahaha you guys all crack my sh*t up. My tundra is supercharged with the 5.7l motor. it runs 12.7. so anyone really wanna step up and watch your chevy shit get killed?

and its funny i just killed a 5.7 tundra today getting on the freeway. scsb like yours. slow!!!! go back to your toyota forum

  5. Thank you! Right back at 'cha! White is a good color too! Hides the dirt, dents, and scratches well. It's a nice "stress free" color, lol! biggrin.gif

yes it hides dirt/ scratches and stuff great. i can go 3-4 weeks without washing it but i try to get it washed every week or so. keep it nice. i say you keep your truck clean and running good it will treat you good.

  6. So the newer tundra had more HP, the new dodge has way more HP......Anyone run against these and how does theSS do? The last thing I want to do is be embarrassed by a freaking toylet. If need be, I'll add a super charger but I'm concerned about mpg......any thougths on its effects?

havent raced a toyota, but from hwy speed the new hemis arent so good. my LQ9 with no TM killed it. but from a stop idk

  7. get ready to pay out the @ss for gas. Gas prices are going to be up over $3 all summer even though the price of oil is down. Even though people are not using as much gas as in the past. Funny how supply and demand mean nothing these days. Just the speculation of potential use control the market. :banghead:

premium is already $3.37 by my house. i work for BP, shell, exxon, connoco. all them and i still dont know why they keep raising the gas prices. nor do i get a gas card banghead.gifM16.gif

  8. Your axles should be 33 spline. The GM part numer for a 33 spline axle that fits a 9.5" 14 bolt is #26060414, and is about $500 dealer list. You may be able to get the same axle from Moser Engineering or Alloy USA for half that price......

yah im hoping i can. my pops says i should replace just the bent one with a stocker. but i might as well go better stronger ones for same price as stock.

  9. i have a 06 4x4 cc vmax. with 14 bolt rear end, 4:10 gears. i was recently in a accident couple months ago and my axle hit a curb. well needless to say the bodyshop didnt replace the axle. its tweaked just a lil. i thought it was the rim that was tweaked but the forged rim is fine. i rotated my tires and it still wobbles on the left rear. who makes some good solid axles for my truck rear end? i dont know what my spline is. thanks

  10. Hello all,

I am curious if anyone else has done a two inch shackle drop with the manual select ride option. I am not sure if this option will interfier with a two inch drop. It is not extreme so I don't think it would be a problem, but I am curious if anyone has any advice to give,

    Thank you in advance

i "heard" theres a sensor inside the shock that detects stock ride height. idk if thats true or not but was told voids warranty.
