Window shopped for a new truck today. MSRP of $57,600 for a 15 leftover high country 4x4 w/ the 6.2 litre. About $55k out the door. I realized today how much I really like my SS... and the fact it's paid off

Here's a first, went to a used car dealer today and looked at a 10 year old Wrangler Rubicon (super low miles though). Their asking price was 5k above book value. I made then an offer (above book value). Nope. They wouldn't even negotiate a dollar off the price... wow!

Yet another puddle of coolant under the truck. It has been pressure tested 3 times and holds 20lbs. However, leaks a puddle when it sits over night after being driven.

problem is when it was puking (large quantities) of that wonderful coolant/trans fluid mixture, it leaked all over everywhere under the truck so everything is wet. I de-greased the engine yesterday (twice) so we'll see if I can pinpoint it now that it's all clean. I'll probably just do the water pump anyway... 12yrs old and 101k on it.

Well, good news today. Took my truck to the trans shop, slipping the whole way there. Fluid was really low. Had the tranny serviced (new fluid/filter). There were no metal shaving or anything bad in the pan, fluid was clean also. No idea where the fluid went. The underside of the truck is bone dry but as of right now, a new tranny is not needed

I'll admit it, it's my fault. I should have checked it sooner. It was still on the dipstick, still clear red and doesn't smell burnt. I agree, it had to go somewhere but it has never left a spot under the truck and crawling under it, I don't see anything wet. Other than a small amount of oil around the oil filter housing (leaking oil cooler).
