recently i have had 3 error codes pop up left back running lean right bank running lean mass air flow sensor i have replaced my mass air flow sensor 3 times so far and the code goes away for about a week ( after clearing the codes) and then al 3 seem to pop back up almost at the same time. i dont feel a difference in the performance or the functionality of the truck. but its rather annoying to have the engine light on all the time. any thoughts?? maybe the mass air flow sensor cable harness has a break in the wire?.

the mass air flow sensor may not be hard to be replaced ive just never hear of one that needed to be replaced. i will replace it but just not something new

for the past few months my service engine light has come on for approx 20 miles and then goes out. when i go to my mechanic it says " mass air flow sensor" i have replaced my entire intake and am looking into replacing the mass air flow sensor. anyone have any info on this? im not looking forward to replacing it to see if it fixes the problem. anyone else have this issue?. a few months ago i had noticed my speedometer had gotten stuck at 35 MPH, but went away a few miles down the road, then this morning i was driving to the airport and my speedometer was WAY off. once i stopped it said 25 MPH, which i thought might be a problem. i restarted my truck a few times and with each restart it went down ~5-10 MPH till it finally got to 0 and seemed to be ok for the rest of the drive. what would cause this?. wheel speed sensor? im completely in the dark.. i need some info. ( using Google now lol.)

the front and rear speakers are off the head unit. the sub is MTX 10"and amp im assuming is MTX because its an enclosed unit. ( the amp is inside the sub box).

hey all this is my first real stereo that i have complied/installed. it sounds good from what i can hear but im sure it can be better. i know there is the high and low pass filters and all sorts of settings in the head unit and i can google them all day and i still wont understand how they interact with each other. so if there are any sound guru's out there it would be awesome for some help in making my new system sound the best it can. i am mostly listening to rock such as avenged sevenfold and my darkest days. im not sure f this will effect how i tune my radio but ill offer the information anyways. below is my system. its all installed some parts easier than others lol. but all in and working. hey all just wanted to share my experience with the amplified MTX thunderform enclosure and it is piss poor. the install was nothing like what the instructions said ( which were a 4 page pamphlet which gave no direction at all as to how to install) it looked great form the pictures that i saw on crutchfield.com and other sites. hides under your rear seat which is what i was looking for. it does hide under your seat. and sounds good. but the install sucked. after 3 hours on the phone with crutchfield tech support i was basically told to do what had to be done. it would fit perfectly if you removed the rear bolt from the back seat frame. ( what bolts your back seat to your truck.). so instead i had to modify almost all the parts that came with it for it to install and look half decent. after all that time no offer for a little refund for the supposed "easy install" ( quoted from the sales rep who i spoke to from crutchfield when i bought my new system. final install pix. dragpny that sux. sry to hear. all i needed was to undo the screw behind the lock slider and it came right off. it was starting to get dark when i did it so ill be putting in my speekers when im home form work tomm. thx guys. ( im an idiot becuase when i looked at the paperwork that came with all the crap i bought there was a booklet on how to take off the door panel !!!! dammit. i should read these things first. but i guess im a big kid. i just dive into the projects without reading the instructions... ) thx guys..

don t you need a X or H pipe if you go from DIDO to duel mufflers

Hey all. im looking to buy a magnaflow DI/DO muffler to replace the stock one. but i cant seem to find the following info: length of the stock muffler distance between the inputs/outputs of the muffler basically i want to bring my truck and magnaflow muffler to meineke and have them cut out the stock one and weld up the new one. but i know the one near me is a pain the the balls with having to bend pipe if something doesn't fit exactly. ( basically they suck at it ) i will continue to look online and on the forms. but any info would be appreciated.

does anyone know if anyone makes an exaust tip that mirrors the factory one?. i want to put duel exaust on my SS but i like the look of the stock one. wanted to add another one to the drivers side but cant find anything close to the factory one on any site.

hey guys. i have had my engine light come on a few times in the past. all the code says is mass air flow sensor. my mechanic said you can just swap out the mass air flow sensor and see if it fixes it. which i really don't want to drop the cash for a new one if i know mine is not bad. if i let the light just stay on it goes out within 2 days ( there is no change int he performance or drive ability of my truck). didn't know if this happened to anyone else. i did notice an extremely light amount of dust on my mass air flow sensor when i cleaned it a few months ago. ( like barely there.. ). im unsure how the mass air flow sensor measures the air going into my intake manifold. would such a light amount of dust cause my engine light to come on?. ( i have a K&N intake with a cone filter. ).

i just went to advance. and saw what they had. lifetime warranty... cant really go wrong.
