yea i was reading that last night as well. i am looking into a corsa muffler. they sound good from the youtube vids i saw. but they dont just sell mufflers. its the whole cat back...

looks like im just going to Minake with a magnaflow muffler that i buy somewhere. 2 1/2 duel inputs and same duel outputs right?.

what are the speekers in the formt door of the truck? if im goin to replace the backs i might as well do them all.

Hey. i was looking thru eBay and found http://www.ebay.com/itm/200717228059?item=200717228059&viewitem=&vxp=mtr#ht_2992wt_1346 it seems to good to be true. i was looking for a magnaflow system because i have heard its gives a nice low rumble at idle and cruzing down the highway at 55-70 and is only loud when you press that gas pedal down. can anyone confirm the same is for the flow-master? i did ask the seller of the item to make sure the muffler is duel in duel out to direct replace the factory one that's under my truck now. and what the pipe sizes are. i believe its 2.75 inch factory if i remember right. if he gives me the right info about the muffler in/outs and the feedback i hear form here is good looks like ill have a new exhaust. thx again guys.. feedback is always welcome.

turtle wax chrome polish sounds like a good plan for the time being. i wouldn't imagine its all that pricey. once i get them looking OK ill use that plastidip to keep them looking almost not shitty looking until i sell my truck for my trans am or buy new rims. i noticed most of the sale rims on tire rack are butt still look butt ugly. and all the nice ones are WAY expensive. just looking for something not going to break my bank but still look good im open to anything just not butt ugly lol. something clean, 5 or 6 spokes. i had ( http://www.daleearnhardtjrwheels.com/catalog.php?cat_id=160&scat_id=106 ) on my camaro and LOVED them.

haha you don't have to put my wheels down. i know they look like crap. im sure when they were new they looked good. what are the odds you all know the bolt pattern and offset for the SS? ( i havnt goggled it yet.). maybe ill look up on tire-rack this afternoon and see whats out there.

as you can see they are horrible. and need to be cleaned but that's besides the point lol. the center cap was BRAND NEW last year when i bought them for a ridiculous price. and the fake chrome pealed off. so needless to say i want a new rim without a center cap. any thoughts be helpful. what is plastidip? never heard of it... time for google. lol.

hey guys. the previous owner of my SS didnt take care of the rims, the chrome was all pitted when i bought it and i dont really have the cash to go out and buy new rims for my truck. any tips or tricks to make them not look all shity. it cost alot to have them sandblasted to raw metal and painted? ( will post a pic or 2 in a few hrs when i get to work). i can scrub them to get the brake dust off but they still look BAD. i dont know, looking for something to make them not look so bad until i can afford to get new i know im goin to have to get new rims eventually just cant swing the price yet cuz they aint cheep. ( will prob spend around 200 a rim when i do do it. moneys tight now adays any good looking ones that you all like? just link and ill get back to ya. ) i LOVE the look of the attached rim but thats on mydream trans am and i doubt it will look that good on my truck ( prob expensive tooo)

guys, i noticed that the rear speeker wasnt working in my SS, so i took ff the door panel and noticed that the magnet came off from the cone itself. i can stick the magnet bac on the plate but the cone doesnt move, so thats a no-go. anyone know a good place to get the speeker? it seems to be mounted to the plastic piece that it was snapped into the truck door panel.

hey guys. got a question and not sure where to post it. i recently replaced my battery and alternator(145 amp) and i just noticed that when i come to a stop from moving my idle rpm goes down to ~300 and then evens out around 500-600 from what i can tell . also be4 i upgraded my alternator from 105 to 145 the battery voltage would from to 12 volts as i came to the stop and a few seconds after i would stay stoped the battery voltage would go back to 15. i havnt noticed it drop on my ride home but it may. it has stalled out on me once in a parking lot but idk what is causing this. i didnt notice this happeneing be4 i changed my battery and alternator. i first bought a 105 amp alternator and my mechanic said that seems low for the 6.0 so i bumbed it up to 145 in expectations that it would fix the problem. but it hasnt. i asked my mechanic he mentioned that it could be my computer haveing to relearn the idle for my truck and just give it a few days. just wanted to get a few other opnions on this. thanks.

dont get cutouts. sounds awesome and mean at idle.. but sounded like shit when ur goin down the road IMO. not a rumble like i wanted.. but more like a obnoxious noise. im goin with a magnaflow universal muffler because corsa wont just sell me a flucking muffler. they want way to much money for their system. dont get me wrong i love the sounds of corsa.. i had it on my cmaro and vet in the past..just to much money atm..

which magnaflow one would you get?. i dont know if the length od the muffler matters but it has to be duel in and single out.

Hey can I buy a duel in and single out muffler from magnaflow or someplace and just take out the y that's on the output or the muffler and just have the place weld the output of the single output of the muffler to the stock tip. I don't know if the duel output is needed in the muffler... or if it would cause any problems with backpressure. Any info would help. Thx

im normally at around 190-195. never hits 200 in my truck... i know in my camaro it was running a little warm. 205-210 and i changed the thermostat and it fixed the problem.

anyone have the mbrp exaust?. im looking at http://mbrpautomotive.com/index.php?page=products&part=S5016AL i didnt see an option for a 6.0 so im guessing its for the 5.3L thats in most solverado's. just want to know it will work be4 i spend money.. any info will hep.. thx.
