6 speed or auto?

goo gone doesn work?. wire wheel what off? it would come off in one piece. or so it seems.

ive been noticing that the plastic cover on my tailgate is comming lose. and the center of it is all crappy ( can be cleaned with goo-gone) due to the rubber seal of my LEER bed cover. whats under the plastic cover?. it hurt anything if i take it off? special glue or sticky tape to worry about if i were to take it off to try and re-attach it? clips or snaps holding it on?. just dont know and dont want to go tearing into my truck without having an idea of what im getting into.

does the length make a big diffrence?. scince i cant get a corsa mufler i was goin to go with a magnaflow.

im sold on corsa but they wont just sell the muffler. they want to sell the whole system for $1000 im not doubting them but its a little much. any place where i can just get the muffler?. duel in duel out..

any sites where i can get a 2.75 duel in and out muffler?. every site i find wants me to buy the whole cat back.

is it expensive to go from the chrome rims that i have now to painted or powdercoat them for a fresh look without buying new rims?. im guessing you have to sandblast off the chrome on the rims and paint or powdercoat them. just dont know the cost. if anyone knows plz let me know. the chrome is pitted and in some places pealing ( the last owner didnt take care of the rims) and the centercap i bought brand new chrome to match the rim and the chrome paint is pealing off of it as well. i was debating on painting the centercap black but im unsure how it would look. the best pic i have atm is the one attched. i can take more if needed.

ive noticed my instrument cluster lights to backlight my speed, RPM, temps and such are going out. i spoke with my mechanic he said i have to swap it out with a new instrument cluster from the factory and have him transpher all the data. ( i would assume it plugs into the CPU of the truck). there any way to replace the lights?. theyt light bulbs? LED's?.

so its 2.75 in and out of the muffler?. i just went outside and looked it looks like the exit pipes are 3 in.. could just be me tho.

Ou mean the y is inside the muffler?. Cuz its a duel in and a single out. Maybe im lost in translation. Sry im a noob. Lol

the muffler on my 03 has duel inlet and single out. it change in the diffrent years or making them? i agree with the flowmaster comment. a friend had the corsa on his vett. not quite the same but i was speecheless when he reved the piss out of that.

it is a duel 2.5 in inlet and a single 3 in outlet if my observations are right.

lookin for a good sounding muffler. i know the main brands out there but they all sounds slightly diffrent and ive never heard them on a 6L always the 5.3L or a hemi. any sudjestions?\ and whos the guy with the polished stock tips for the SS?. i would like to get my hands one one if the price is right.

just tacked a reply on that post. ill swap out the fromt bushings and order the rear bars... thx guys.

the sway bar bushing kit is just a harder rubber?. ( im a noob when it comes to such things like this lol) im guessing they replace the factory ones. ill have to look into how the rubber softness or stiffness effects the handeling. the stock sway bars are solid? or hollow? would it be worth while to replace the rear the same time as the front?. i agree with the lowering of the truck to improve the handeling but ied rather not touch the ride height. i like it stock. its not as high as stock silverado but not slamed to the ground.

im lookin for something i can put on my SS to stiffen the ride and corners. and make the truck bounce less after hitting a bump in the road. if i described what i want correctly. i was looking into sway bars for the front and back and replacing the front shocks but i dont know all to much bout the effects of sway bars and or new/performace shocks.. or if they would acheve what i want. ied like to keep the stock ride height of the truck anyone enlighten me or point me in the right direction?.

Hey, ive been looking for a SS decal that resembles the Z71 decal that goes on the bed of my SS. i cant find anyone that has made a post or any site that resembles what i am looking for. kinda just a SS like the emblems with a custom ring to it.. if any of you are graphic designers or know a site that can provide such a decal or sketch please let me know. im verry interested in buying a pair for my SS.

yea im lookin to get a 2000-2002 trans am WS6.. i will prob have to trade it into a place that has the trans am i want ( which i will prob lose money i bought the SS for 17K @ 67K miles.i would imagine that the price would not go down all to much in about the year i had it. ) or private sale.. which will take some time. just lookin for some sudjestions on it.. thanks for your input man

hey all, i was thinkin about puttin up my truck for sale. 2003 SS black. ( i have a few pix posted in my profile.). just hit 80K miles. anyone know any resonable number for it?. it is in 100% working order. just replaced in both front wheel berrings. the chrome on the rims is a little pitted but otheriwse the paint and interior are flawless. all functions inside andout work. any info would be helpful.. thanks guys.

hey guys. i was looking online and couldnt find a SS stock exaust tip for the drivers side. i like the look of the tip comming out the side of the truck but was consitering doing a duel output one for each side in the stock location just inverted for the drivers side. anyone help?

I found a chrome replacement on ebay. its a piece of metal about 1/4 inches thick that replaces the factory one. mines for my 03 SS. but im sure they make othem for all other body style silverado's.
