  1. Gauging interest, I have a spare 6.0 Liter long block engine out of my 2003 that I never finished rebuilding. The original motor (stock) lost oil pressure after about 20,000 miles and long story short after tearing it out it spun a cam bearing. I got a new crate engine installed in the truck and in the mean time I tore into the old engine. During disassembly, one of the head bolts (I guess they are stretch to yield bolts) broke off into the block. The block was sent to a machine shop, the bolt was drilled out and one GM threaded insert was installed, the motor was professionally gone over, dressed, honed and new cam bearings installed. I have gotten to the point of the short block being assembled with new cam and main bearings, piston rings and stopped. I have a gasket kit and the other parts, like the heads, intake valley cover, oil pan, etc. are sitting next to it waiting to be put on. I no longer have an interest in building a spare to sit in my garage and would like it to have a new home. I stopped building it a year or so ago and have covered the engine and parts with silicone grease and plastic wrapped them. *I do not have a throttle body, cast headers, electronics, coils, injectors, spark plugs, engine covers, etc. as I basically replaced the long block itself when I got a new one in the truck* Make a reasonable offer. I am located in upstate NY and would prefer to meet someone to drop off short block and remaining parts than have to crate and ship, as I would have to finish assembling….. Thanks

  3. Sounds good Chase, cant wait to see a video of it rolling down the street......
  4. If I can make it man for sure.... There are a lot of things going on this fall, first year anniversary, wife's 30th B-Day, Balloon Festival. When it rains it pours.... better to be busy that bored.
  5. Interested in the procharger surge valve. I am guessing it is the same butterfly style valve? Can you let me know what you want for it and possibly some more pictures of the internals... Thanks, smithl3
  6. After reading the posts from satisfied customers, I went the Edelbrock Performer IAS shock route with the 33012 fronts and the 34010 rears. I noticed after 50,000 miles the truck had something going on in the front end. At first I wasn't sure if I had to re-balance my front tires or if it was the shocks. I knew I was close to needing shocks so had new ones put on. Sure enough the front left shock was toast, no resistance to me compressing it by hand and no extension at all. All the other three shocks would resist in compression and then slowly extend back out. There were a few bridges and overpasses with expansion joints that used to throw the front end into a shaking fit, but with the new shocks it is tight as new. Nice rebound after a gradual bump too. And hopefully they we be better all around since I have the McGaughy's 2/4 drop kit and the stock shocks weren't meant for a lowered truck..... I only have a few hundred miles on the truck since I got them but I am a happy customer so for though.
  7. Sharp car! If I had the money I would consider....
  8. Looks and sounds amazing..... I have to see some video's of it moving......
  9. I would love to join you guys..... I have a bike trip planned for that weekend with the family. Shuan run your truck one more time for me will ya?
  10. Here are some more pictures....... Candids. And my favorite, my new personal best timeslit. I was running Richard I believe out of Mass with a 4x4 with a LQ9, Lingenfelter GT2-7 Cam, and Magnacharger, and some other goodies.I was on the right side lane.
  11. It was a good time yesterday at the track and nice to meet some more of you guys in person. First time I met a lot of you and I didn't even know Mervz had a brother! They barely look alike so i never would have known. Definately a good group. I want to thank the Grill Master Shuan for the lunch and Hank with all the salads, I tell you that I certainly didn't come that prepared. I left with my truck still in tact, and a new personal best for my truck with a perfect day at mid 40's to 50 degree's. It was another successful event, thanks! smithl3
  12. Sorry for the late response, I just got married this past week and my energy, money and time has been devoted to making sure the day went off without a hitch. Well one hitch, Me! I have been writing Shuan and am planning on attending. Looking forward to a nice brisk day for some good times out on the track. See you all there. October 18th, 2008 - Lebanon Valley Drags 1. 13. I have had to replace mine already, and I am thinking of doing it again. Those small idler pulley's have two sealed ball bearings and mine had gone bad once before. ATI sells them directly, I think they are $50 a pulley with new bearings already installed. I have contemplated getting a large OD pulley to allow for more belt wrap on the charger pulley but haven't crossed that bridge yet. Let me know what you end up doing and how much it costs as I will be in the market real soon as well.
  14. Does look pretty good. I am still tossing the idea of painting or powder coating mine too..... Not sure though yet.
  15. I have their cat back dual exit system. I have no problems with it really, had some issues bolting it up to my truck because the kit doesn't take into account if you have a trailer hitch, so you have to be creative to attach the rear most hanger for the exhaust. It actually has a considerably louder tone around 2,000 RPM that goes away with higher revs. It is nice for cruising the strip and getting peoples attention at low speeds. Not bad at all on the highway. Definately a unique sound in comparison to Flowmaster and other systems. Got mine through TByrne when they were running 15 or 20% off.
  16. Happy owner here, I have over 35K on my P-1SC. Had some problems to start with, unrelated to what procharger sells though. Necessity to get a custom tune, should go with bigger injectors as well. Not a daily driver anymore, but used on the weekends regularly and no problems. My truck sees some cold winters with snowmobiling in canada, and it has always started up no problem even in 15 below zero weather. Only thing I don't like is my boost tubes are rusting from the pounding they take from road debree and salt. A better powder coating or something would help this. Have fun with it.

Wiz, That is impressive, really good time with some nice and cold temps..... I need to get a tuner with some seat time in my truck, I just need to get the time to drive down to see Bryan maybe. Or wait until Krambo gets back up to Lebenon Valley. I haven't had a chance to have someone look at the logs at all within the last three years. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same lack of timing as you were seeing up top possibly. Very happy for you though, that is quite an accomplishment with such a large truck....
  18. How's it coming along, got it on the road yet? Anxious to see some more pics......
  19. That cam in there sounds amazing, love the it's alive video...... Nice work on the website!
  20. Wowsers. Someone could walk away pretty happy from this deal. Good luck with the sale.
  21. As do I.... Let us know we are anxious.
