  1. you might dig this.. new show about to debut.. http://vimeo.com/76928681
  2. FYI.. these are the right tie rod ends http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MOO0/ES3493T/03448.oap?year=2003&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado%2B1500&vi=1412042&ck=Search_03448_1412042_4018&pt=03448&ppt=C0203
  3. ok boys.. i got bushings and endlinks orderd, or here.. along with the proper tie rod end links.. so my next question is.. on the lower control arm.. where the front shock mounts, there's a bushing... where do i find a replacement? would this one fit? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACDelco-45G9343-Front-Shock-Bushing-/300971377286?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ASilverado+1500&hash=item46134ac286&vxp=mtr#ht_1058wt_1255
  4. i picked up the moog tie rod ends today, and ordered the E.S. bushing kit
  5. already ordered the new sway bar end links, front end bushing kit, might stop at the dealer on the way home for the control arm bolts, and maybe hit oreilly's for 2 of these .. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MOO0/ES3609/03448.oap?year=2003&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado%2B1500%2BHD&vi=1412097&ck=Search_03448_1412097_4018&pt=03448&ppt=C0203
  6. im going to get ball joints from autozone, and have them pressed in\out by a local shop, same with the bushings on the control arms , once i get them all out
  7. aldo, thanks for that! my plan is to cut the upper bolts, as close to the frame as i can, then punch out whats left. im hoping not to into anything important,, we'll be using a cut off wheel for it. if i can, maybe ill get someone to sand blast the old bolts so they are as clean as i can for anything i can save. One thing that made me go 'damn' was the drivers side upper control arm has a bracket on it, held by a 10mm bolt for the brake hose.. that bolt snapped. so , looks like ill drill that and go got a self tapping bolt for that hole\hose\bracket. 3.3190 is the part number for the bushing kit.. not sure what the end link part number is just yet.
  8. mcgaugheys drop kit with the belltech drop shocks
  9. there is a specific way to put that oil pump in.. if you dont do it PROPERLY, it will wear our prematurely and you'll have failure again (typically with in 5,000 miles). i watched an episode of horsepowertv about a month ago and they showed a procedure on how to install it correctly.. of course they did it with the front diff out of the way, but for the PUMP itself, you essentially take it apart, install one part of it, center it, install the rest, etc etc.. im making it simple, as i dont want to give you the wrong info.. but you get the idea of what im saying
  10. ok folks. .need some advice im doing my 2/4 drop.. in doing so, after 160,000 + miles on the truck, pulling the front end apart, I notice its REALLY time to replace some old parts. in short, the control arms are good, but the bushings are shot.. i want to do the energy suspension ones in the stock arms, after i get the arms cleaned up. can anyone confirm this is the right kit.. and if so, do i need to order one of these, or two? for some reason im thinking this is per side, and not in total. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ens-3-3190r/applications also, any help locating the following bolts. (trying to find the CORRECT parts).. the 3 bolts that hold the spindle to the wheel bearing, and the two bolts that hold the upper control arms in.. (i may have to cut those upper bolts off the truck, as they are pretty much seized in there).. those upper bolts are not 'regular' bolts as they have that flat part that i think is used to hold the guide for the camber.. any help\advice would be great.. oh, also, need the specific right part number for the sway bar endlinks... i have to replace those too
  11. sounds like your oil pump went south..
  12. if you have it, how much do you want for the passenger side mirror glass? just the glass.
  13. you removed the 4 bolts holding the straps on it right.. in the front? then use a small pry bar to pull it out of the front diff.. then it slides out of the transfer case.
  14. could be right.. In 2003, the production #'s were: 6,117 Black 2,802 Red 1,103 Blue
  15. no im pretty sure thats how low the numbers were
  16. so.. 1104 blue ss trucks made.. this makes the 6th one ive heard of that was totaled.. they get more rare by the day...
  17. i found it more expensive, but less of a PITA to just get a hydroboost pump and the proper lines.. little hint.... if you get a hydroboost unit.. FIND OUT WHAT IT CAME OUT OF.. reason being.. the lines from a 2500 HD truck and a chevy express van are DIFFERENT and the TOP line on the hydroboost unit itself WONT install.. i found out the hard way.. there is a low pressure line that really just a formed rubber hose, that hose was like 60 bucks.. ok it costs more.. but i think doing it with the right pump is better.. other than cost, the only other downside, the hydroboost p.s. pump doesnt have that tab off the back that bolts it to the block.. making juggling the alternator bracket and the pump a pain... but you can install the pump in the bracket outside of the vehicle tho. also DO NOT .. i repeat DO NOT buy a pump at autozone or advance.. buy it from a dealer!!!! the pumps from the other stores are horrible quality and break very very VERY easily. ask me why i know...
  18. ive used them all... i personally think the MS Surface is much better.. but to each thier own...
  19. welcome back.. some of the photos from the how to section no longer work for me.. but the text is good...
  20. happened to me twice.. on both ends.. once with the input shaft.. once with the output shaft.. at the time, my idiot tuner jacked up my trans line pressures to max.. cuz that shift was awesome.. BLECH.. i , since then, and forever, will leave my line pressures at stock settings..
  21. i need to get one more set in blue...
  22. thats real good for all 4 corners.. is that calilpers and the mounting brackets? i havent looked at the vette upgrade in a loooong time.. does it use stock size rotors?
