  1. Not sure if you have solved this problem or not but I had the same issue with mu OBX headers when i had my SS I had to fabricate a anchor shaped plug wire holder to hold the wires away from the headers. I am at work right now so i don't have a picture but when I get home I will look for it and post it up.

Thanks, but as of now I feel I have the problem taked care of. Instead of buying another set of MSD wires, I bought a set of Taylor wires because they have shorter boots on the plug side. I then doubled up on the DEI spark plug wire boots. So far I have ran my truck for a couple of months like this and I haven't had any issues. The main issues were on #5 and #7 cyl. on #5 cyl, I custom made an MSD wire to go completely around the headder to avoid any contact.

I was also turned onto the idea of using small pieces of stainless tig wire and bending those pieses to secure the wires away from any contacy and using existing bolt holes to do so. If what I did in the above paragraph fails, the tig wire trick will be the next trick I try.

  2. HAS ANYONE ASKED WHAT HIS GOALS ARE FOR THE TRUCK?????????? All of these brands everyone is puting out there may not benefit him the most. I think We need some more information of his goal for the truck to properly pick a pair of headers. If he has high HP goals, or plans of forced induction then he should go ahead and find a set with 1 7/8 primaries. If not then 1 3/4 should be fine for an average build.

  3. This past sunday, my buddies and I finished my Amp rack. I am still trying to sort out issues with my balancer.................... My 35w 4300k Reverse light HID kit did come in today, and My tires should be in on WED!!!!!. On another note I have to work 12 hour nights, Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Then on Friday I have to install some Diff covers and a Locrite locker in a 2006 superduty......

  4. honestly my paint is darn good. i take very very good care of it. but these rock chips are driving me nuts (been there since purchase) :( and since im gonna fix them, i cant deprive the rest of the trucks body.... sometimes i wish i was over near that area. but NC will have to do for now. FullCircle when are we going to the track??

Have you not seen all of my whineing all over this forum?????????? If I can ever get the right dang parts and a friggen tune............I have had my truck taken apart in my shop for a month now.............. It has definitely been a learning experience.......

  5. OK reading this I have a couple questions as I am doing a long term build with the LQ9.

What is pinning? I see it used around here a lot.

    Why pin?

When to pin? I will be doing LS3 heads and eventually a TVS2300.

Your problems don't seem good. So now I'm concerned about what I am building to
