  1. I thought it was the pinion seal, replaced that. Cleaned everything up and headed off. I hopped on the turnpike. Two hrs north to a lil vacation spot for my wife n I. The next morning I went to get some coffee and It was almost like a horror film. Fluid everywhere. I put a piece of tubing and a hose clamp at the axle tube to help "hold the leakage" so I could get home. I filled the diff with nearly an entire quart. I kept my fingers crossed and the radio off until made it home. Just a few questions to powers that know. Can a leak form at the axle tube? Should I have it welded? It doesn't appear to be tweaked at all. It also appears that a leak has sprung on the axle seal up by the brakes. Should I be looking for a new rear? A few pics....
  2. BTW I have my OEM calipers that I can add to this package if you want to upgrade your 12" rotors to the 13" that the 05-06's had. I would recommend getting the hardware rebuild kit to refurb since there is 80k on them.
  3. Found this recently. Anyone want to be a guinea pig??! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=191326982432
  4. Host it on photobucket then paste the direct link
  5. How did you make out on this? I have to replace my pinion seal and I'm thinking on swapping out the rusty DS.
  6. Awesome! Let me know! I read on the corvette forums that it's tough to get decals professionally manufactured due to copyright laws and GMP being sticklers about licensing. http://www.tunerdecals.com is the closest. I haven't tried to contact them yet.
  7. Just a note. I heard, and correct me if I'm wrong, that you will lose cruse control capabilities when you change your third tail light to LED.
  8. I love em and the info on this thread was spot on. Thank you Rudy for all your hard work! They look and feel awesome!! I need to find decals though. I didn't know "Corvette" was painted on. Brake fluid is some volital stuff. Just a lil bled onto the fronts when I was bleeding the lines and the paint came right off.. I shoulda taped it beforehand.
  9. Last time I felt anything like that, one of my front wheels were weighted incorrectly. Some of the counter-balancing weights fell off. It caused the wheel to become unstable after 45mph.
  10. It's when he's leaving the Sonic. There's a red SS in the last parking spot. It's toward the end of the vid.
  11. Shut-up and take my money!!! That is sweet!!
  12. Haha, I had no idea there was an iPhone case. Thanks STL_SSS!! Buying one today! http://www.zazzle.com/stl_sss
  13. If you really feel cheated I believe you can file a discrepancy through paypal. I personally would give a lil more time. Sometimes it's a gamble buying from privet sellers. Best of luck on the ducts. Hopefully they just show up soon.

  15. I was wondering while driving on the turnpike clearly sucking in tons of carbon. When I thought. How many trees need to be, to help me breathe?? It takes six molecules of CO2 to produce one molecule of glucose by photosynthesis, and six molecules of oxygen are released as a by-product. A glucose molecule contains six carbon atoms, so thats a net gain of one molecule of oxygen for every atom of carbon added to the tree. A mature sycamore tree might be around 12m tall and weigh two tonnes, including the roots and leaves. If it grows by 5% each year, it will produce around 100kg of wood, of which 38kg will be carbon. Allowing for the relative molecular weights of oxygen and carbon, this equates to 100kg of oxygen per tree per year. A human breathes about 9.5 tonnes of air in a year, but oxygen only makes up about 23 percent of that air, by mass, and we only extract a little over a third of the oxygen from each breath. That works out to a total of about 740kg of oxygen per year. Which is, very roughly, seven or eight trees worth. 16. Just a note. When I put my deep pan in I had a hell of a time getting past my exhaust. I ended up having to separate the connection between the headers and the CAT to slide my deep pan into place. Just thought you should know. This is where I copped mine. I went with Hughes deep pan http://www.oregonperformancetransmission.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=OPTI&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=HUG-HPB3780
