  1. I have pretty much the exact same tails as Silverado777 and shawnss. I made sure they had Phillps LED's inside and were also bought on Ebay.
  2. What he said lol. Raiders fan also! I told people last year that Seattle would take it all this year and I still think they will. The only other team I know to give SF a hard time has been the Rams. But Seattle completely shut them down. That is a sign of a Super Bowl contender for sure!
  3. Hey fellas, Today I got an email at work stating that they will be hiring Operators at the oil refinery I work for located in Carson, CA. If anybody is interested send me your email info so I can forward you the email I have with all the information to apply. These are great paying jobs with full benefits, 401k and bonuses. It is 12 hour shift work which can be tuff at first but you get used to it. Good luck! Alex.
  4. I'm in the same boat. I cant wait to see it all nice and shiny!
  5. I understand what you are saying. See my goal with this truck is not to go to a track and win full on races, I just want MO POWAAAHHH! I had planned already to swap out the top end for something better and I don't have anybody I know that tunes. I like to think I am doing my homework by asking experienced guys like you questions about these issues. To me the top end kits for these LS based engines take most of the guess work out of it. So is there something wrong with a kit lets say from Trick flow? They seem like a good idea but then again that is why I am asking questions first.
  6. I saw those kits. Now I wish I had 3 grand in my pocket to use lol. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get that and a Fast intake...then a tune.
  7. After finding nothing related to this topic here we go. I am wondering if there is a top end kit for these LQ9 engines that I can buy? Or are we stuck to building our own based on others experiences with different set ups? I want to add more power but don't want to go the super charger or turbo route. I rather would like to go N/A and build a nice strong engine. Thanks fellas.
  8. Sometimes the search feature does work lol. Good info here just bumping it up for later reference
  9. The past 3 years of my life have felt like a stand still, I haven't really done much. But it depends on your outlook. I have learned to stay positive and keep my goals fresh in my mind. Like you I have been getting things done and although it seems like it will take a long time trust me when you get to where you want to be you will know you did it right and it will be worth while.
  10. Take your time, things happen for a reason.
  11. My truck had LTZ wheels when I bought it last year. They look nice but to me they look better on SUV's so I quickly found a set of SS reps and slapped those on.
  12. Same here bro. I have so much I want to do to this truck and my other projects but inbetween trying to make a bit dent in my debt and saving up for a house it's ruff. But in the end it will be worth it bro for sure.
  13. I had a question for you SS vets. Has anybody beefed up their steering linkage etc and removed the slack on the steering? Two of my coworkers to their HD silvy's to a off-road shop and had all the steering components beefed up and they say the slack on the steering is gone. Was wondering if anybody else has done this and how does it work/feel on a sport truck versus a lifted diesel truck these guys have.
  14. I like what you did there. I'm thinking of going all black and leaving some of the grey, to make it look like it came that way from a Chevy dealer. I've been looking up photos of trucks that came stock with black interiors as a guide. Just not sure if I want to do the SS stitching on the headrest white or leave them grey.
  15. What he did isn't funny but that one line is lol " I want to do hoodrat things with my friends ". And damn good eye on seeing that SS silvy..I had to replay the vid twice to catch it.
  16. Does the Ambassador grant permission for a sticker? Lol
  17. A day I will truly never forget. God bless those who gave their life to save others, and may those who passed R.I.P.
  18. You know thinking of it I should get a sticker of a little storm trooper and put it on the rear window of my truck lol.
  19. Thank you sir. She just need some final touches. Thank you. Yes the front lights will be upgraded they do not go with the truck at all I agree. Thanks, I agree white is a very nice color if matched up right. I think the white with black accents looks awesome. Thank you!
  20. Thanks everybody. I'm very happy with the results,
  21. Thanks a lot for the info. I posted some in the " I'm painting my SS " topic. I will take more after she gets cut and buffed with emblems installed. I don't like doing cheap work, if I don't have the money I'll wait till I do. Thanks for the recommendation. Headliner in suede was what I was thinking of doing also.
