My version, oil cooler line mod
Devilized replied to Devilized's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
Indeed, i would hate to drain tranny fluid twice so I'm waiting patiently. I'd rather get greasy once vs twice. The part that bugs me sitting around is the zippy tune. Can't wait to feel how it all ties together. Will know this coming weekend:) -
My version, oil cooler line mod
Devilized replied to Devilized's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
Well worth the money, I hate watching my royal purple or any synthetic leak down the drain. Our setups should definitely last the life of the truck x10. Johnny those parts won't be sitting too much longer. But yes i agree I hate seeing money just sitting around:) -

Damn I like the braided, I didn't want to go any further than I needed to on parts but man that looks good. The line I ran is rated to 300psi so that was more than adequate. Never really thought of making it look good but I might just change those lines out now that I saw your setup. Thanks for sharing that's a sweet setup. I have a bit to do now. Need to install the cooler lines as I just built them today as well as a 160 thermostat, tru cool 40k, zippy tune which all I just got. But waiting on my zippy shift kit and servos which should be here in the next few days then I can spend the day putting it all together. -
Got tired of the factory leaky crimps so I cut the crimps off, welded some 8a's on with some fresh lines and here you have it.

You and me both fast brick. What I'm up against is the damn CA smog police. Always been Naturally Aspirated on every car I've owned and built minus a bottle here and there So I'm hesitant on forced induction which is why I'm leaning towards the 408 stroker but not sure on my limits due to The smog police. So I'm still trying to do the math on best bang (HP) for my buck.

Triple 7 you have quite a nice fleet there. Some serious power throughout. So far so good with Mike. Gonna sit down with him soon to see what would be a wise build for my 06.

Yeah I guess wrong choice of words on my part:) his tune is on its way along with tranny kit from him which includes his version of a shift kits with some servos. Also have a tru cool 40k on the way.Getting ready for some power either by a 408 stroker kit or a supercharger. Shall see how it plays out.

Thanks for the response, based of what he has done he is a great brain to pick. That's just part of the battle, the most important part which I have learned in the past is finding a good machine shop that can hold a tolerance. Other than that part choice is critical for the lifespan of this build. The best part is getting box after box showing up at the door. Can't wait to get it moving.

Can't say enough about Mike, what a stand up guy.Lots of knowledge, lightning fast response and great deals. Finally getting serious on the SS now that I'm done with the Cadillac build and Zippy is my go to guy.Starting from the ground up to get a solid platform to build on. Just need my Nor Cal ultimate suspension kit then it's time to sit down with Zippy and start making plans for the 408 build. Any input from you guys who have a build sheet on parts used on your 408 would be great while keeping spray in mind. Trying to stay within reason on the dollar bills but like my self and many of you know. Trying to hold a budget never works, yeah it looks great on paper but once your balls deep that paper goes right out the window. Open ended budget but looking to stay around 10k. Just looking for a solid street truck across the power band. Capable of some serious spirited canyon carving while shocking some exotics on the streets here in the So Cal area. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

I see you have parted out a few items on this. How much for the 112? Also whats it gonna need to be complete? Thanks in advance

That's great to hear,I know it will help. My cts v woke up from a beast to a bat outta hell but that was from a tune on the dyno. I need to finish a disc brake conversion and a few other things on my 67 caddy then the ss fun begins. If I was still in AZ I would do all motor but now that I'm back in ca I think a good start would be a bottle or a supercharger for now. I have 100k on the clock now so I might tear it down sooner than later.

Just spoke with Zippy today, he answered his phone right away:) sent him all the info he needed and I should have my new pcm very soon. The only mod i have is the volant cold air so the tune probably wont do too much. But that will change once I get past the final stages of my cadillac build. Then it's FINALLY open season on the SS. Long over due

Maybe I'm late but it might help someone in the future. Part number is 25910431. Just got these but they are for my 06 so not sure if they are the same as the rest. Hope it helps.

Radix supercharger for 3k good deal?
Devilized replied to Devilized's topic in Forced Induction and Nitrous
It's just for the blower and injectors, it was sent back to rebuild it. Doesn't seem worth the price so I'm gonna keep looking out as they come around from time to time. -
Post pics when I get mine done in red

Radix supercharger for 3k good deal?
Devilized replied to Devilized's topic in Forced Induction and Nitrous
He claims a fit kit, must mean everything minus blower and injectors. Will post a pic soon. -
Saw this on craigslist, if you have input on if this would be a great deal as I might go pick it up.
