Bad ass silvy. Sucks you sold it and it's sad it got smacked up. Check my gallery pics as it's under construction but will be done soon. It's been in the family since new. That will be my coffin when I die:) -

Sorry for the previous post bad ass silvy. If someone truly wants to pull the SS please do as that gives me a reason to get another cts v:) try to pull my 67 caddy and I will do time. People with sticky fingers as I call thieves should have their hands chopped off and fed to them BUT these are trying times so I say protect yourself at all times. I never leave my 67 anywhere besides in my garage. I take it out to drive it not leave it out for someone to take. The SS is a sweet truck but if it got pulled I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Again thanks for the heads up and enjoy that Holiday weekend. -

Thank you for the heads up. Before I moved to AZ Four years ago I spent Six years in the area. I do come prepared so I hope they can run faster than my 45. As for sleep overs my little Monster will be sleeping in the garage. I do always worry with any limited production vehicle that I have owned. Thanks again for the heads up as I do appreciate it. -
Seeing if anyone in the area would like to join. Gonna be in the area and thought I would see if there is any interest and a chance to meet up. I'm coming from AZ and thought I would put it out there.

And Jason I will follow your lead soon on some speed parts as the Cadillac project is making great progress. I think I'm done with cosmetics as I have never been a fan. My truck deserves better so I'm gonna be getting together with my speed freak friend who helped me build my Cts v so we can put together a list of mods to get a start for the truck. So far it's simple. Volant power core, pacesetters, magnaflow cat back with high flows, excelsior efi live tune out of San Diego, true cool Trans cooler, corvette servo, stall, msd wires and delco plugs. It's a start. Gains won't be much but it's a start. -

Thanks for the comment Jason. NTMD8R shed some light on this situation. NTMD8R thank you for saving the day. I was frustrated that the very people who make the product have no clue of their product line. I know it's hard to keep up with it all but come on people. I am happy to be a part of this forum and it's great people. I was hoping to have pics by this weekend but due to delays they will be coming late. Thanks again for all the help -

Thanks for the info. I called street scene back and they said that is for 05-06 HD. Told him that's what hood comes on the 06-07. Gonna measure out the grille and send it to them to make sure. Thanks a lot for the info I hope it works. -

Yeah pretty disappointed but I'm sure it's for the best since most aren't happy with their quality and fitment. Everything happens for a reason. -

Spoke with street scene again today. They has made a mistake and never made a grille for 06 and up and all they could say was sorry. I guess it's for the good. Just have to deal with sending everything back and losing money on return shipping. Tell the world they don't make anything for 06 and up. -
2006 SS chrome street scene grille part numbers
Devilized replied to Devilized's topic in Appearance, Cleaning, & Detailing
Yeah sour is being nice. Pretty sad that street scene said it was the right part number even after I told them that after searching every site and I let them know that it stated only up to 05. I don't think they make the uppers for 06. Wish they would have said that. Now I have to return the uppers to get my money back minus shipping. I also have the lower three pieces that will be here in two days which I will have no use for if they don't make the uppers. Pretty damn pissed off. My fault for buying cosmetics when I should have bought a volant or some pacesetters. Keep you posted on the bullshit. -
Could really use some help on this one. Purchased upper grille and was told by street scene them self that the part number was indeed 950-78141 for upper grille. Got it today from eBay and thought I would put it in front my OEM grille just for looks as I wait for the other pieces part number 950-78144 to come in. It's pretty obvious that it's for the older years. Can anyone help with correct part number for an 06 not 03-05. Any help would be great

Alright just purchased my chrome speed grille thanks to all the input. Big shout out to JC03SS for steering me in the right direction. Will post pics. Won't have it for about 10 days. I said I wouldn't speed a dime on the SS until the Cadillac was done damn it. The sad part is that I'm haven't bought one speed parts it's only been cosmetics. What she will look like. I did but the duct grilles as well but might follow this pics lead -
Aldo thats not too bad. What did you use a dotco with a cutting wheel or grinder? I would imagine it sounds pretty sick. Hooking up a four channel would help that along I guess. Music is good but hearing W.O.T is better.

JC I always dare to be different as is part of the reason I bought this truck. I love limited production. Moving down from a cts v to this still kinda sucks but I moved from CA to AZ so I needed a truck. I'm looking to join you soon on that set up. Don't sweat digging around for me but I do appreciate the help. I think I located the right stuff. Gonna do chrome and I think it's about $250 for the 5 piece. -
Johnny it's all crisp and clean again. Now I feel obligated to do the rest. Aldo I don't know how you squeezed 6.5's in the back so hats off. I can't cut her up for speakers maybe for a mini tub;) I'm just trying to finish up my Cadillac project so I can get serious on the SS. My first ride ever that has been stock for so long.

That eBay deal looks pretty good. Others on here say to silicone the seals or you will have water issues. One last one for you. If you have the part number on that grille that would be cool?I think they sell it as two kits? One for the main grille and the other is for the lower and brake ducts. I'm hoping the combo looks as good on my red as it does on your blue. -

Hey JC03SS where did you get those clear lights at? Saw some on eBay for $90. Wondering if they were the same?
