Yeah I'm right there with you, was thinking electrical tape to seal it.

It was a great addition, not the best quality but it will do for now. The volant is amazing as you know. Go for the clears just understand that they aren't a perfect fit so be prepared.

Bought these on ebay for 93 bucks. Sealed them with silicone as I followed what people on here said to do to keep out moisture. Had to open up the holes that the main pin for the headlight go through. Other than that the look great and I am waiting for it to get dark to see how they do on the road.

Yeah that carbon dip is a pretty bad ass process. Great looking truck and thanks for all the info.I will post pics when I figure out a cover for mine.

Thanks for the info, 03ss what kind of seal did you use for your lid. I'm gonna chase down some red acrylic and make one. Your engine bay looks pretty sick. Gonna just buy that tube for that price. Now just waiting on my exhaust to show up.

Installed the volant 151536, was an easy install even with the not so helpful instructions but have a few questions if anyone could help that would be great. The lid is garbage as it bows letting air through the top so has anyone made their own lid out of metal or lexan or acrylic? Also the hole on the bottom of the box is for the tube that goes to pickup air from the brake duct which I plan to make myself, any ideas would be great. Last is the cut out that points torwards the fender, has anyone sealed that to just pull air from the bumper or does everyone leave it open? Thanks in advance

Thank you guys for the reponse, the shop is excelsior motorsports in San Diego. The tunes my cts v which was amazing. They are 110 an hour. Just moved back to ca from az and landlord won't allow work on his property so I have been looking around. Fi,ished my 67 caddy build so now back to the truck. The shop marks up their prices on everything but this shop was pretty Damn high. Please chime in on a brand for a stall about 2800. Can't do headers due to emmisions. Gonna do a legal build with some spray. Any help would be great. Not sure how far I can get with internals due to emmisions. Truly sucks but it's my dd so keeping it legal is a must. Thanks for the help.

A couple pics Jason your lower center seems to sit forward more than mine. Did you remove your stock lower or install the new grille over the stock lower?

New headlights are a must now. Got the lower center in but need to wait on the ducts as I don't have a 7mm wrench to get them off. Jason your right that's gonna be a pretty mean looking face when it's done. Gonna need some extra HP to back it up soon enough.

Thanks slow roller for the comment all I need now is some fresh clear headlights as the stock ones look like $hit with the fresh grille.

Alright thanks to all you guys and your help finally got the right uppers and got them installed. Looks pretty darn good, gonna install the lowers tomorrow to finish it up.

Been going there for years. First time in the SS and got declined. Guy said newer trucks and SUVs can't come in. But it was ok fora quest minivan, honda civic and I did see a chevy HHR. Must if hated my AZ plates:) still enjoyed the show.
