Well there is a bit of a story here. But anyways to make a long story short. The ex and I split up and she ended up with my 04 S-10 and some may not know, but I am in a wheel chair. Got sick of the S-10 cause they are not a really quiet cab so I wanted something different. And it so happened my dad came across something he thought I could get into without much problems. So I went to look at it........ but it was still a little to high. So I looked into to see what it would take to get into one. Came up with the idea of air ride. And it would lower it just enough so it would be about level when air out of the system to get in. It was an 03 Arrival Blue. Feel in love with that color right away. It had 63k on it but had a salvage title......hood bumper was smashed but he fixed it and did a really good job on it, and got him down to 13,500 for it and he would put the air ride in for me. So I went back to my dad to talk about borrowing some money to get it. Well by time I was able to get back to him it got sold. Found another one 3 hours away 108k but 10k, lost out on that one also. Then my parents called me last Sunday afternoon that they found a blue Silverado.....thought they were just playin with me that it was a reg Silverado, but they wanted me to get something that was local. Day went on and called them that night to talk to them and they asked if I was interested in it......I said kind of and they said why not its a SS im like oh crap it is!!!!!! So went to look at it Monday drivers side rear fender needs a little work bubbled just a little. But it has a painted cover on it. Well the owner was wanting to take it to a dealer action.......I'm like what do you need to have for this today to sell it to me and not take it to the action. He said if he doesn't have to detail it 12,500. I told him be back tomorrow morning to pick it up. Went home and showed up with 12,500 and my mother drove it home for me cause I need hand controls put in it and air ride. But just tickled that I was able to get one of these trucks......... really needed something for me for winter driving, cause an F-Body really don't go anywhere with more than 3" of snow. But gonna take great care of it even though gonna be driven in the winter. And cant wait to short making it my own. Have a buddy how has a play shop next to his house that has a hoist and have access to that whenever I need to work on something so I can get things at my level and he helps with things that I am not able to reach.

Man looks like a nice build......wish I would have read this before we chatted tonight. But man some nice fab skills my hat is off to yeah. I'm a do it self kind of guy myself. Took me a couple of weeks when I did my LT1 383. Was pretty anal about making sure it was all done right. Mic'ed every damn thing and wrote it down so if anything went wrong I could go back and look. But nice truck and ShawnSS where did you get that hood.....I LUV that hood man! You guys are really getting me to think that I'm going to end up doing more than I kind of had plans for.

Cant wait to see what this thing is gonna do. Looks bad ass. Nice clean job!

I put a pic up of the SS it was cold as hell out yesterday so only got one. But will get some more when I get back out to the shed where it is at. Oh just so I don't look like Im a puss or anything.....I'm in a wheelchair from a cycle accident back in 96 T5 basically mid chest down. Still; wild as all get out though.

Just bought my 04 Blue Silverado SS today and got it home. Cant wait to start putting my twist on it and make it my own.
